It was ok. They changed the menu and the new menu leave a lot to be desired. We had Boston cream pie for dessert it was clearly frozen and the pastry cream was broken and the caramel was very
light and bitter. The service was good but I doubt I'll be back
We started eating at Legal in the late '90s when living in New England. We were excited when opened in KOP and was never disappointed. However, this time, something didn't seem quite right. It seemed different. The menu was not the same and the air of a very popular eating destination was lacking. Every time we dined there in the past, it was as if it was a special place. I don't know. I don't want to be unfair because the food and service was very good, and the prices were within expectations, but something was not familiar. It seemed run of the mill.
I entertained two guests the other night at Legal Seafood. It was very pleasurable. The only disappointment was that the mixed grill (my personal favorite) had been removed from the menu.
Oysters were fabulous and the tuna was exceptional
I had eaten at Legal Seafood in Boston and loved it. I was so excited to find this one while visiting the Philadelphia area. It did not disappoint!
I go to Legal when I need a Lobster roll fix. They have never disappointed me.
Excellent food and service. Consistent quality. Great recommendations and service from Alexis.
Had dinner with a friend I hadn't seen in two years. Our server was very kind, allowing us to visit, without rushing us. Food was delicious, as always.
I thought it was supposed to be more upscale than it was. The servers were in button down oxfords with no tie, and looked a bit shabby. Everyone was nice, but the place was nearly empty. We quite expected it to be busier. Wine menu struck me as the type you would get at Applebee’s. Laminated paper folded in the middle. Clearly the wine selection doesn’t change often, however they had a couple nice whites to drink with seafood. The appetizers were very good, in fact, they were the best part of dinner. Entrees were not bad, but a bit lackluster compared to the delicious apps. We didn’t have dessert. All in all, it was alright but not super memorable.
Stuffed Lobster the best I've had in years! The smallest lobster was more than enough for dinner and lunch the next day! Great waiter!
The food was ok good enough. The scallops were great! However this was my first dinning experience with Legal Seafoods and I was expecting to be amazed but it was. Average. I’m someone that’s cooks and when the food does not top what I do at hone then it becomes somewhat disappointing. My expectations is that the chef should be able to top me and when they don’t then I feel like I could have stayed at home for this. But what really caught me wrong is when the guy comes out and starts wiping down the table and chairs and then goes to the next table and then wipes with that same cloth. That is wrong on so many levels. People put their behinds in those chairs and then you wipe the table that people eat on with it. He should have separate towels for that. The waiter was ok but he was in a rushed state the entire time and so it lacked personal attention. Not so sure that I need to come back.
While our food & service were good we waited a long time for our soups & appetizer. Our waiter noticed that we were waiting a long time & did all he could to speed things up but somehow our meal ticket was lost. Our entrees were delicious. Our soups & cauliflower appetizer were taken of our bill which we thought was very nice since we didn’t complain to the management. We will definitely give LSF another try.
The clam chowder is excellent. The warm rolls are also very tasty. The fried oysters were juicy and tasty. The french fries were a bit soggy because they were under the oysters. The cole slaw was okay. Portions are good.
Everyone seemed to enjoy their food but I ordered Fish and chips and it was the worst that I’ve had anywhere. Absolutely no seasoning and bland. My wife loved her crab cakes. The waitresses were very nice and made for an enjoyable evening overall.
Always a good meal at Legal in KOP. Nice to see an updated menu too.
Food is good but prices are a little high. I would go back but be more careful about choice.
Would have given it 5 stars but the veggies came out cold. By the time I received a new dish of them, main course was finished.
Amazing food. Big portions. Not cheap, but worth every cent. Service is diamond level. This place makes Red Lobster look like McDonald's.
Legal Seafood never disappoints. They food is very delicious always.
Excellent food and service
Food was good, but service was slow...
This is our favorite place for family celebrations. The staff goes out of their way to make it a great experience. With an infant and a family member in a large motorized wheelchair, our mother's day lunch couldve been very difficult but from the hostess to our server Marissa to the manager, everyone was very accommodating and happy to make our meal a nice celebration. Great people!
As always, the seafood was fresh and delicious! I have never ordered a steak there before (I've been to many of their locations multiple times) but I brought my children there as a celebration for college/high school graduation and they wanted lobster. Their food was delicious (I tried a bit of theirs) and my steak was cooked to perfection! I have never, in almost ten years of eating at the King of Prussia location had a bad meal or poor service. Worth every single penny!
Had great dinner and server was very nice.
I come here for great dining experience and have never been disappointed. Maryland cream of crab soup, shrimp cocktail, fish and chips topped off with key lime pie! All was great. I love that raspberry sauce on that pie!
Our waitress,Brittany, was attentive, pleasant and we couldn't have asked for more!
First time there 4 people total. By end of the meal We determined it to be an overpriced Red lobster. Funny part is I only went to red lobster once and never went back. Will be the Same with Legal Seafood. Food was just average, from appetizers thru dessert. The fish was over cooked, the bananas foster was more like bananas in a Carmel sauce. Raw oysters were the smallest I ever ate. I had a makers mark old fashion drink which came to the table almost clear from the lack of bourbon and full of soda and sugar. Service was good but that was about the extent of it
We have eaten at Legal Seafoods for more than 20 years & dined at your restaurants from Atlanta to Boston. Our meal last night did not measure up to the standards we have come to expect from Legal. Specifically, we did not receive certain items we’d ordered, the service was dreadfully slow and the menu was very limited. The food quality was just so-so.
Food and service was great, I’ve never not had great food and service here. Only disappointment was in our weak cocktails
Service was excellent, food outstanding, nice ambience... will definitely return.
Service was great-scallops melted in our mouths like butter. Great meal.
Wonderful oysters and excellent service.
Soooo disappointing. The drinks were served with the entree after the appetizers, the content of the oysters was practically nonexistent, the restaurant was empty but the service was slow, the celebratory birthday cake was barely enough for one person, let alone an entire table. It seems to me that other branches of this famous restaurant have their act together, but not this one, at least not on this evening.
Some food was overcooked and bland. Rice was hard and flavorless. Tuna steak was undercooked. Not impressed.
Do not like newer menu. Been there twice recently and they did have large whole lobsters. They used to offer 3+ lbs. understand all Legal Seafood’s have their own offerings. Disappointing.
Having been to a few of the Legal Seafood locations, I can say it was no surprise. It's become very predictable! But they still have the best crabcakes anywhere . . . . . . . And the onion strings are yummy . . . . And the service was superb!!!
The gazpacho soup was excellent but barely measurable in size, way too small for $7.50. The vegetables were very good, a sign of a good restaurant and the seafood was first rate.
We had a reward debit card from Coopertires, whose website named Legal Sea Foods as accepting it. Pricer than usual for us - we are a retired couple on a fixed income - but the card was for $67, so we could afford the treat. Bill was for $74, so I gave the gift card and another debit card for payment, said use all the gift card balance and use my debit card for the remainder AS ADVISED ON THE COOPERTIRE WEBSITE! Waiter returned, said the gift card could not be accepted because my bill exceeded the card's value, even though I had my own debit card to pay the balance. Had to use my own debit card for the total bill, had to pay the full price of the meal with my own money! Legal Sea Foods in King of Prussia swindled me out of $67! Food was terrific but this payment fiasco is what I will remember, and tell my friends about.
Our first time here and it was just what we needed after a long day of shopping. The food was delicious! We tried the bang bang cauliflower and loved it.
Always a great experience at Legal Seafood. The Bartender was cheerful and attentive. I had a bowl of Clam Chowder and Fried Clams for my entree. Both were excellent. My wife had Oysters first (half off special) and the appetizer Crab Cake. Both were excellent. We always have loved this restaurant!
Although very nice, server forgot several items that were ordered. We found ourselves reminding her about their delayed delivery or that they were forgotten.
Was very pleased with all the meals we had, definitely coming back!
