Our server and the restaurant in general seemed “off their game” this evening. Service was spotty, timing of service was off and food slightly overcooked. The Negroni and Spritz were good.

The food is very good and the location can't be beat when going to Lincoln Center. The service is pleasant, but a bit wonky. Given that many of their guests are going to the theater nearby, it's surprising that they are a bit flustered by getting the food out in a timely manner. We got our meal in plenty of time, but our waiter was concerned that we wouldn't make the curtain if we ordered two courses with an hour and twenty of dining time!

I had an elegant dinner with impeccable service. Lincoln Center is a magical place to be. I loved the appetizer that was pastry triangles with mozzarella cheese inside and prosciutto on top. The fish was delicious and I look forward to returning to try the pasta.

Extremely disappointing experience — poor service and not worth the price Our experience at Lincoln Ristorante was deeply disappointing. At a restaurant of this caliber and price point, we expected professional, attentive service and a polished dining experience. Instead, the service was disorganized, inattentive, and lacking in basic hospitality. Our waiter spilled tea and failed to properly clean up the spill or replace all the affected napkins. He appeared unfamiliar with the menu, showed little enthusiasm, and seemed nervous and absent-minded throughout the meal. He rarely checked on our food and did not pay sufficient attention to our drinks. Most frustratingly, he repeatedly asked whether we were ready for the check, even after we told him at least five times that we were not ready to leave. It made us feel rushed and unwelcome, rather than allowing us to enjoy our evening. The restaurant also showed little willingness to accommodate food allergies, which is particularly unacceptable for an establishment charging premium prices. The food may be the strongest part of the experience, but good food alone cannot compensate for such poor service. Overall, the experience felt more like an overpriced, hurried cafeteria than a sophisticated restaurant. There was little warmth, attention to detail, or genuine desire to make guests feel welcome. Rather than delivering an exceptional dining experience, the restaurant seemed focused on turning the table. Lincoln Ristorante needs to seriously rethink its service standards and approach to hospitality. At these prices, guests should expect much more than food on a plate. We left disappointed and would have difficulty recommending this restaurant to others.

One of the nice things about the Lincoln for those of us who dine there most of the time we attend events at Lincoln Center is that even when the menu might not have changed, the way the dishes are prepared sometimes does. An example of this is the burrata appetizer, which was delicious when my wife and I shared it a few weeks back and was even more delicious this week. The burrata was as fresh and creamy as usual, but the pepperonata sauce that set it off was more piquant and the flatbread that accompanied it was more buttery that in the previous version. This is especially important for a vegetarian like me, who has only a few dishes to choose from for repeated visits. The chef continues to modify dishes on the menu, so that dining is always a bit of an adventure. A new fall and winter menu, by the way, is coming out soon.

The space is stunning as is the food. Sea bream and veal saltimbocca both excellent , beautiful sauce on each. Olive oil cake rivals any we’ve had.
