Definitely expected better food from here — everything was oversalted and not that interesting. Very pricey for what it is, but that's West Loop. Really cool interior and amazing service, drinks are great but if you're looking for something really interesting/good food wise, I wouldn't recommend.
The food is consistantly good - and interesting. But the staff is what makes this place. Great friendly service ... and when things don't go to theirs or your satisfaction, they know it and they do what needs to be done to keep the customer happy. It was a wonderful evening.
My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day. The Little Goat Diner was a nice restaurant in the West Loop area. I felt the menu was great for a diner. I ordered the Shrimp and Pork Belly and it was delicious! My husband ordered the 1/2 pound burger and it must of been good cause he devoured it! The noise level increased as we were there and Inwished I had asked for a booth as I felt the table for two was a bit cramped. Our chairs were touching the customers chairs behind us. I felt like we were competing for space. It was a great place to eat and I would recommend. My next place on my list is the The Girl and the Goat!
Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. What more can you want? Love this place!
Met a business colleague for breakfast and it provided a great relaxing spot to catch-up. We were not rushed at all and waitress was helpful in explaining our bakery choices.
The dinner menu is somewhat limited but the two items we had were delicious. Desserts were also very good but patrons should be warned about the large servings. Lighting was just right though the noise level got a bit beyond conversation friendly. Our waiter, Ben, was the best, helpful and always there when needed but never intrusive. In all, a really nice experience, we would recommend and go back.
Good food and atmosphere
Best burger (goat!) in the city
Service was awesome, staff was so friendly and they all helped each other out. The food definitely met my expectations and went beyond that. Things I would not think go together they make work! Very happy with my experience and cant wait to come again
Food and drinks were pretty good. Service was seriously lacking.
Delicious- so nice.
The ambiance was loud but not too loud! Very energetic and exciting!
We were very glad we made a reservation, as even around 2 PM the wait was up to an hour. We only waited about 15 minutes for our table because of the reservation. The food was generously proportioned. I ordered the Monoyaki, which had a pretty spare description in the menu. My mistake for not asking questions, but the dish consisted of a fried piece of dough, with just slivers of pork belly and then a delicious wasabi sauce. The promise of pork belly made me picture a more protein-centric food, so I was disappointed in something that was basically a big savory doughnut. We got the crab dip for the table which was also well proportioned, and everyone enjoyed their food. My wife got a bloody mary and it was really excellent. I don't come into the city too frequently (we're burb dwellers), so the prices always seem a little high to me, and I know my experience was tainted by my order, which I didn't love, but overall I quite like the Little Goat and will definitely keep it on my list of go-to brunch places for when I want to take out-of-town friends to a fun Chicago place that shows off our creative and fun food culture.
Comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere. Great staff, with a willingness to make some adjustments to accommodate a particular palette. Reservations are ideal given its popularity, but it is worth the wait.
Food was delicious but they forgot the smoked salmon cream cheese in my smoked salmon omelette and had to remake it which took a bit of time. It was very noisy, waitress was very nice but hard to get a hold of to notify about the missing salmon...prices for some items like fountain soda, etc were high imo. I would still go back, just a few kinks is all.
Great food, cocktails, and brunch menu. Love the decor and ambiance. A must try!
Been here many times. Consistently good food and service.
Most of the people I talked to said they preferred Little Goat to Goat and Girl. I hadn’t been to either, so I was excited. Definitely a busy place. We waited an extra 20 minutes past our reservation time, and our server seemed in the weeds. Ordered the Pork Belly / shrimp noodle dish, it came in a timely manner, but my side of Brussels sprouts didnt arrive until after we were done eating. Sprouts were great! But my entree was boring. Wish I had ordered something else.
My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner here. This is not your everyday diner, it’s more gourmet and inventive. I got the bullseye French toast and my husband got the shrimp and pork pasta, both very good. We will be back.
Super fun casual spot. You won't break the bank but you will be spoiled by menu choices and high quality food. Service was attentive but unobtrusive. Great place to celebrate our friend's birthday recently.
Great food, cool spot - only downside is its kind of loud, but not anything crazy... also parking is tough on Randolph, so if you drive, prepare yourself to pay $16 for valet parking. But yeah, awesome food, great menu, absolutely loved my lunch.
Great unusual diner food. Love this place!
Wonderful first time experience. Definitely returning. Food was awesome!
Fabulous food, great bloody marys for brunch or lunch and dinner!
Worst server I’ve had in years. Several times she left without getting the whole order or letting us ask for anything. It was almost comical. Will not go back for a long time.
Disney on Ice
Fabulous food! Definitely a different environment then Girl and the Goat...a true diner with exceptional food.
Food was excellent and the atmosphere lively. Enjoyed the unique menu had comfort food fit for a foodie. Craft drinks added to the experience. Great place, exceptional value, and good service. Make a reservation so you won't have to wait an hour for a table.
Service definitely slacked today. Server forgot to take our order. Parties that sat down after we did got their food way before ours arrived. Server didn’t even try to check to see about the status of our order nor did he apologize for making us wait to take our order.
They were closed due to a burst pipe during our reservation so I can’t really say much about the experience. It happens, but some sort of heads up would have been nice.
They never fail to delivery great service and food. Always on my good to list to have breakfast!
Outstanding food, service, and cute upscale diner atmosphere
Our first time at Little Goat and it delivered - the Little Piggy went to China is now my favorite breakfast ever - the flavors are incredible and perfectly balanced! Josh, a server, was fabulous and helped make our experience complete!
We love it here! Will be back to try more of their unique menu
It it a fun casual place with dinner food kicked up a notch. So fun!
The crab dip had a very fish smell and taste which was disappointing.
I came here with my husband, our two boys (3 & 5), my in-laws and brother and sis-in-law. Previously, I dined here with my girlfriends and enjoyed the experience which is why I brought my family here. The service was decent (more on that later). We were looking forward to the food and scoured the menus beforehand. It was nice to learn that anything could be ordered at anytime like a traditional diner. We ordered our food and it came out quickly. My father-in-law asked for something as an employee walked by and the response was,"I'm not a server." and this male employee proceeded to move on. My FIL was not impressed with his sandwich, but no one came to check on us to see if our food was tasting as we imagined. When the waitress checked on us at the end of the meal, she said,"I wish you told me sooner, I could've gotten you something else." We did, the other employee was not interested in helping us find you. The food was removed from our bill but the service was lacking. I was disappointed as this was not my experience when I came the last time.
Seated half an hour late and pot pie was room temperature
I had an outstanding dining experience at Little Goat. The staff was super nice and attentive. I watched as they helped each other take care of guests and worked together seamlessly.
I shared the crab dip, reuben, and Chicken kebab with my sister and all were on point!
I had 2 Lily Pads (cucumber gin, dry vermouth, lemon) which were great as well.
The ambiance is hip, trendy, foodie-approved and very affordable.
So glad I found Little Goat! Can't wait to come back!!
We were seated in the first booth behind the host and it was very very cold. They were kind enough to move us when our food was done, but it was a frigid visit and the revolving door was unattended and left askew for the majority of the time.
