Stephanie Izard, James Beard "Best Chef: Great Lakes," and Food & Wine "Best New Chef 2011," opened Little Goat with BOKA Restaurant Group in December 2012. Following the success of Girl & the Goat, Little Goat Diner serves the Izard take on classic diner offerings.

Adjacent, you'll find the Little Goat Coffee Bar - offering pastries and freshly brewed Dark Matter coffee. While you are there you can also purchase merchandise and Stephanie's This Little Goat line of sauces and spices.

Located within Little Goat Bread is our bar - where craft beer, wine and cocktails are served.

Reservations reflect only a portion of our available seating and hold a seat in the diner whether at a booth or our communal table. If you can't find a time slot that best suits your request, we invite you to walk in and join us!

Amazing meal from the amazing chef Stephanie Izard. We avoided the wait for the main dining room and sat in the bar area and got to watch the pastry chefs make the fresh baked goods. Get the messy home fries with pork belly! Wow!

As I was walking in to the restaurant with friends I noticed an attractive young woman standing outside. On closer look I realized it was none other than chef/owner Stephanie Izod. All I could say was "Oh my god, it's you!". She was, of course, charming and friendly. When I asked her what we ahould order she told us everything was good (which it was) but we must have french fries ( which we did)!. All the food we ordered was delicious, unusual and surprisingly reasonably priced. I would ( and will) go back often but the highlight of our day was certainly meeting the amazing and extraordinarily talented chef!

We had the chorizo tostadas special for lunch and they were fantastic. The menu is interesting with a fairly large variety of breakfast, brunch and dinner items. They even have a full bar, which is interesting for a diner! We will definitely come back.

The short rib fries with gravy was the most decadent, beautiful thing I’ve eaten in a while. Everyone’s meal was fantastic and large portions, and they brought our an adorable chocolate dipped ice cream bar with sprinkles for a birthday. Highly recommend!!

Very good overall, though the booths on the west windows are just not large enough for more than 6 adults. Our group of 7 was able to move to tables and it was much more comfortable. Everything else was perfect.

It. Was. Amazing.

Food was absolutely delicious and service was top notch! Our server George gave us great recommendations... he was also hilarious, had us cracking up each time we talked to him!

We had:
Tonkatsu sandwich- it was soooo good!
This Little Piggy went to China - also soooo very good!
Okonomiyaki- it has/had pork belly in it... yum!!
Chocolate chip pancakes- chocolate whipped butter... hello!!

And, because as George said, “ice cream just fills in the cracks,” we also had dessert... even through we were totally stuffed!

Campfire S’mores Sunday... it has little homemade marshmallows enclosed in some sort of chocolate goodness. I asked for more, and I don’t even like marshmallows!!!

I have restaurant list of places I want to go to in Chicago (with the trip, it’s now down to 38+), but I would definitely come back even before trying a new place, it was that good!!!

If you do go, ask for George - he was awesome!!!

Met friends for brunch. Food was unusual but good. We are from out of town so we were delighted to see that they had valet parking there. Didn’t know it would be $17 though. I guess that’s the big city.

Awesome, fresh inventive food! Atmosphere is laid back and welcoming. One of my favs. Cinnamon rolls will become your go to favorite guaranteed! Bulls Eye French toast is a twist in a breakfast classic.

Excellent food! However, table service was very slow; enough to feel forgotten. Our server appeared when we were seated, but it took 10 minutes to return for drink orders (he said he'd be back in a minute). Once drinks were ordered, it was almost another 10 minutes to receive. The staff were friendly the food really is outstanding. I'm hoping that the wait times and staff's approaches were just due to an off-night

I was visiting Chicago on a recent "girls trip" and this was recommended to me by some locals. We went for lunch but they serve breakfast all day. If the weather allows, grab a table outside; for us, it made the vibe even better! I had the BLT which is not your average BLT...blueberry jam adds a bit of sweetness but it's not too over powering. One friend had the grilled cheese....so good! And another friend had the Shrimp & Grits which was another winner! This was one of my favorite lunches while in Chicago!

Was frustrated with our waiters service. She tried to charge us for an item we didn’t purchase. Then, when I confronted her, she said I was incorrect.

This plate is super cute and casual compared to Girl and the Goat. It was the perfect spot for me to get a quick brunch and the staff was super warm and welcoming. Even though it was labor day and super busy the restaurant did not get super noisy which I appreciated. I would definitely come again.

This is a fun family friendly place. Our server was great. I had fish tacos which were delicious! My husband had the lox plate with crumpets and he enjoyed it very much along with a great vanilla shake. it was our anniversary and they brought us a wonderful piece of chocolate cake on the house. It was fun! We left in a really good mood!

Half of what my friend tried to order they were out of at 530pm. It was nice that they had a gluten free menu. Our waitress seemed to be more condescending tgan helpful. Pretty disappointed over all as I love Stephanie's other restaurants, wont be repeating at little goat.

We had a late lunch/early dinner on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. It wasn't crowded, and the food was amazing top to bottom-- from the Caesar salad (because we needed some greens) to the Okonomiyaki and Tonkotsu sammie and peach cobbler with corn ice cream. Creative and unique comfort food.

Been here about 7 times over the years and this was definitely the worst experience I’ve had.

Seated in the sun on a warm day inside - flies are EVERYWHERE - it was so gross!

Ordered the corned beef hash - talk about phoning in the work - sliced corned beef with hash browns on top - asked for poached and received well done fried eggs.

Bloody Mary was terrible.

Did I mention the flies that were everywhere?

Will not head back - time for a new concept or just close.

Server seemed to be bothered anytime we asked a question about the menu or needed something as small as a straw. As first time guests you would expect us to have questions. Mimosa was underwhelming. The famous French toast dish was extremely eggy. Not the egg in the middle but the bread was eggy with little taste. The chicken was over cooked as well as it tasted like rubber.

I ordered eggs over medium and they were totally runny and it ran over the whole meal. Our waitress popped by when the food arrived, but didn’t come back until the end of the meal so I couldn’t even ask to have it remade. I usually love this place, but today was a let down all around.

Everything was great but the food lacked perfection. I ordered the drowned omelet which was a daily special. You expect omelets to be large and loaded with food. Mine was just scrambled eggs wrapped and placed in a broth with brisket and fried onions placed on top. Nothing was cooked with the eggs, just placed on top. Weak and sad. My husband ordered this little went piggy went to China. So salty!!!! I think it was the soy sauce that gave it the saltiness. I couldn’t enjoy the first bite or ask for a second. My husband likes salty and he even said it was too salty. My son ordered the hammie sammie off the kid’s menu. Another sad presentation. It was just white bread with ham and havarti cheese inside. No condiments. Not even something to keep the sandwich together. Ham was in small pieces. Picked up the sandwich with their small hands and everything falls out. The hot crab dip was just ok. No bits of crab. Just taste like flavored cream cheese. Food needs improvement but service was great. Lots of options on the menu.

Great vibe. Modeled like a diner but very appealing to hipster crowd. The Pork Belly Pancake was recommended and did not disappoint. I also orded the Elotes as s side and washed it down with two India-Coladas. Great service, fun atmosphere, and delicious food. A triple threat. Thanks Little Goat.

I absolutely love the “Goat” restaurants. Always a cool experience, but I must admit, and it pains me, but Little Goat is slipping a little. It’s the little things that count to me. It started a little rough when the disengaged waiter asked us three times over the course of taking our order, if there where any food allergies. Once at the beginning of ordering for two, once in the middle, and once at the end, totally oblivious that he repeated the questions. He also would not make eye contact, and kept glancing around the room. I got the pork belly pancake, one of my favorites, and the watermelon soup of the day. The pork belly pancake arrived under a mountain of salad. I had to hunt for the pancake and pork belly. I’ve gotten this before, never was it served with so much salad. The pork belly was wonderful, but the pancake suffered under all the cold salad and dressing. The soup was nice and refreshing, but I discovered at the end, the goat cheese and herb garnish (that I suspect should have been floating at the top, but was added too early) had sunk to the bottom, hidden until the last spoon full. We shared the peach cobbler for desert. It tasted fine, but was served right out of the fridge. Very cold, to the point of muting the flavor. I was expecting it warm, since there was an option to have ice cream on top. The food was good, not great, the service was bad. It makes me a little sad when a favorite restaurant starts missing the mark.

Modern takes on diner favorites. Lil Caesar of brussels sprouts and preserved lemon could have been slightly less dressed. Excellent homemade queso on the homemade chips for nachos. Not going to lie, they had me at peach cobbler before dinner even came. FWIW, it's made with a pastry crumble instead of biscuit. Sit outside if you can!
