    My friend and I had a lovely dinner at LUCA and the wine (Luna Gaia Nerello) and food were delicious. Cooper provided great service and we had a super fun night with him as our server. We’d recommend visiting for sure. I lasted visited on a Saturday night and it was super busy (as expected!), but it had a quiet and calm ambience when we visited on Monday night.

    We typically have excellent servers at Luca Friendly and engaging eager to point out interesting things on the menu. Sadly, our experience on Saturday was very different. Our server was surly and disinterested. It was unfortunate, especially as we have had such great experiences previously

    While the food was truly delicious, we were incredibly disappointed in the service we received. Our server belittled us by making numerous unwarranted comments throughout the evening to imply that we didn’t fit into the clientele of the restaurant, though there was nothing about us that would suggest that besides the fact that my husband and I look young. In one specific instance, when we told her we were thinking to share a pasta dish and a pizza and whether that was okay she said: “of course it’s okay but just know our pasta portions are different than what you might be used to - we aren’t an east side Mario’s”… as if we’re supposed to know exactly what portions are like there. It was so rude and unnecessary. We are diners just like everyone else in the restaurant and you know nothing about us or our financial situation or what restaurants we do or don’t dine at. She could have just as easily said “our portions are fine dining sized” and we would have understood exactly what that meant. But no, she had to say that it might be different than what we’re used to because we look like people who are used to east side Mario’s portions, whatever the heck that means. It was so disappointing to hear this because we’re new parents and had a rare night out celebrating our wedding anniversary and to be judged like this was so sad. And it was hard to truly enjoy the food, despite how tasty it was, because we just felt like we were unwanted customers.

    My husband and I had a wonderful evening at LUCA. the food was delicious and the service was great. The mocktails are also very good. A little pricey, but I can appreciate that they’re actually mixing mocktails at the bar. Will definitely be back!

    Great spot, service was fantastic and our server was one of the best, If not the best we’ve ever had. Food was amazing. Price was reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. Definitely will be back!
