About this restaurant

Chef Frank Bonanno dug into his Sicilian heritage and east coast roots to create this authentic, rustic Italian eatery. Luca has amazing personal touches from the daily made breads and pastas to the meats and cheeses cured in house, to the charcoal drawing of Bonanno’s son (and the restaurant’s namesake) that hangs in the dining room. Luca is heartwarming and satisfying from the wood-fired pizzas to the hand-rolled pastas to the perfectly seared proteins. It’s not your ordinary pile-of-pasta-and-sauce Italian joint; it’s the real (and tasty) deal.

Parking is available in the lot behind the restaurant on Grant St., before 7th Ave.

    We enjoyed our dinner at Luca very much. Yamman, our server, was great leaving us time to catch up, checking in appropriately, being kind and cheerful and bringing us a free dessert. We will eat at Luca again.

    Luca is always fantastic. The food is incredible and the service is always spot on. We came here with one of our kids a year ago, and they remembered and asked about him. They always go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Outstanding restaurant!

    Luca has the flow of a social dinner down to a science. We never felt rushed and we felt well attended to. The food is always incredible. Our waiter had great recommendations for those who were in for the first time.

    The service that we received we above and beyond any fancy restaurant we have been to. Our, server, Joseph, was wonderful and was well versed in all of the dishes. We had the buretta and pizza which were to die for! They have house-made Lemoncello. It was the smoothest alcohol I have ever tasted!

    Always a lovely locale for fine dinning. Service via Samatha was excellent. The chicken parm was quite tasty, perhaps with a little too much salt though. Sam's wine selection was superb.

    Honestly our evening couldn’t have been better. Our server, Sam, was a delight with excellent service, wonderful recommendations (the wine!!) and just the right amount of engagement. But the food. I could eat the pumpkin ravioli for every meal for the rest of my life. Overall the 4 of us were thrilled with the pasta and pizza. The meat and cheese board was perfection as was the endive and pear salad. Divine!
