Mad Egg started out with a simple mission; to create the best fried chicken sandos Ireland has ever seen. We are Ireland’s first free-range fried chicken joint. The first to truly put the provenance and sustainability of our product at the front and centre of our ethos; with Chicken Done Proper. Yes, we place a massive emphasis on the quality of our birds, but we don’t stop there! Throughout our menu we focus on the heritage and quality of everything we offer. From our birds to beers, we’ve got you covered! Please note all reservations are for indoor seating, we are operating our outdoor section on a first come first served basis. Seating times are 1 hour 15mins per seating.

The service was very good and the restaurant was nice. I got the nashville tenders, which were very oily. The bottom of my tray was covered in oil, but other than that, they were okay, not spicy at all, considering they were nashville flavoured. The burger was decent, the flavours didn't really stand out, it was a basic chicken burger, and the mac and cheese was pretty nice, especially for the price. Their loaded fries are amazing, along with the chicken and waffles. Overall, the meal was good, but I would skip the tenders next time.

Our seat at the window was very cold cold other customers also left their coats on. The service was unfortunately poor. It took 20 mins to get attention to order. They were clearly busy but also poor to make eye contact when we looked for attention. Chicken burger a bit undercooked too unfortunately not for me.

Food was great, service wasn’t great. People came in after us and were served before we did. We had to constantly wave to staff to get their attention. We had a booking so they had sat us at our table so it wasn’t as though we slipped in. Glasses and cutlery were not fully clean either. They had been washed but lipstick marks still on the glasses and knives a bit grimy. Mac n Cheese was delish tho!
