Absolutely loved this place! We came for Mother’s Day and my mom had the best time. They had live mariachi music, the vibe was amazing, and the entire atmosphere felt so fun and festive. We started with the esquites, guacamole, and queso fundido, and every appetizer was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The arrechera steak was perfectly cooked and so flavorful, and the cochinita pibil was tender, rich, and absolutely delicious. The margaritas were also amazing and paired perfectly with the food. Everything we ordered was a hit and the service made the experience even better. Such a great spot for a special occasion — we’ll definitely be back!

Real authentic food especially the mole saus. That is a complicated saus to make and they made it perfect.

Celebrated my mom’s bday - party of 11. Server was ok, kept forgetting things. Food was ok not wow, guacamole needed so much flavor. Restaurant is beautiful and ambience is great , food- we have better Mexican restaurants in Miami. They charge you for taking a cake but you cannot use a candle , keep that in mind.

Great experience, nice vibe not over the top place atmosphere or price which is what we liked. The roof top is super nice, will request to be seated three next time.

From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you feel welcome. The decor, waitstaff attire, and place setting are a precursor to a wonderful dining experience. The menu takes a little bit to get used to as does not look like the menu at the usual Mexican restaurants. This is truly a culinary experience unlike any other we have had in a Mexican restaurant. Yes, there is guacamole - an excellent starter. There are wonderful seafood dishes - I enjoyed the Pescado (Fish, Mahi Mahi) a la Veracruzana which I will definitely get again. My partner had the Tlayuda Chicken which was a terrific option which was delicious. The Churros Mexicanos were amazing, a great dessert to share. At the time we were there, the Mariachi Band regaled us with wonderful music. Finally, our waitress, Maykell, and all the waitstaff were professional and made sure we were well attended to. Overall, excellent.

FAQs

For a lively night with music and rooftop vibes, go Friday or Saturday evening or during sunset on the rooftop. For a quieter, more intimate meal choose a weekday or an early dinner (Mon–Wed or Sunday). If you want happy-hour prices, arrive 5:00–7:00 pm and sit at the bar (happy-hour drink deals apply to bar seating only). Reservations are recommended for weekends and special occasions.

Yes, call ahead to request floor preference (rooftop vs. second floor), seating for celebrations, accommodations for allergies or stroller/accessible seating, and to confirm menu availability. Guests commonly ask staff to arrange mariachi for birthdays or request table-side salsa and special desserts; many guests had positive experiences when they communicated needs in advance, though some reported miscommunications, so follow up by phone if possible.

Business casual is the stated dress code. Guests commonly arrive dressed smart-casual for dinner and rooftop drinks, think neat, comfortable attire suitable for a stylish Coral Gables venue.

It can accommodate families, but experiences vary, families and birthday parties are commonly hosted (including rooftop birthdays), and guests have brought teens and children. That said, some guests reported stroller or seating limitations and one family was redirected due to rooftop/private-event policies. If you need accessible seating or space for a stroller, call ahead and request accommodations to ensure an appropriate table.

Portions vary, appetizers and sharable dishes (guacamole, esquites, queso fundido) are typically generous, while some mains and taco portions are described as modest for the price. Guests often recommend ordering a few starters to share and sampling a main or two; the rooftop menu is more small-plate oriented. Expect restaurant-quality plating and sometimes premium pricing for protein-forward dishes.

Warm, vibrant and visually striking, guests frequently praise the building’s décor and Oaxacan-inspired details. The rooftop is breezy and lively, the second floor is described as intimate and wood-accented, and the ground floor can feel bustling with mariachi music in evenings. Expect a festive, photo-worthy environment; if you want a quieter meal, request the second floor and avoid peak live-music times.

Busiest: weekend evenings (Fri–Sat) for the rooftop, especially sunset and late-night bar hours; weekends with live mariachi or DJ attract crowds. Quietest: weekday lunches and early weekday dinners (Mon–Wed) or Sunday early evenings tend to be calmer. For happy-hour drinks, the rooftop bar fills up quickly around 5–7 pm.

Generally yes, guests report dining here for holidays and special occasions (Mother’s Day, Day of the Dead, New Year’s brunch and Halloween). While the official owner hours don’t list holiday exceptions, holidays can be especially busy and sometimes feature special menus or events, so reserve well in advance and confirm hours for a given holiday.

Yes, the rooftop bar (azotea) provides outdoor seating and is a guest favorite for sunset views and drinks. Several reviews mention enjoying rooftop views and the outdoor atmosphere; note that rooftop seating has a limited menu and can be more crowded during happy hour and weekend evenings.

It depends on your goal: choose Friday or Saturday for the full party vibe, rooftop, mariachi and DJ; pick a weekday (Mon–Wed) or Sunday evening for a quieter, more intimate experience. Sunday–Wednesday evenings and weekday lunches are often more relaxed; reserve in advance if you prefer a specific floor or the rooftop at sunset.
