The waitress was not helpful, she didn’t explain how the experience worked even though we said it was our first time there. We paid $68 per person and received 2 Shrimp per person. This place is way over priced. I will not be back. Get a small amount of rice with a few small pieces of meat. We had a party of 6, 2 of them had to sit at a different table because their burner kept going out, which the waitress knew because when we made it we wondered why only 1 burner was on at a 2 burner table for 6 people. Never again. This e experience was horrible if you’re going here thinking it’s like a Korean barbecue place think again it has nothing on a Korean barbecue place.

The restaurant did not smell good. The service was poor. The restaurant looked like it needed a good cleaning. The table next to us kept cursing and making obscene gestures. Food is overpriced for having to cook it yourself. I will not be going back.

東西好吃 服務很好 價格高的離譜 不知道是不是我在墨西哥住久了 每想到一餐要吃到200美金 而且服務費還是20%起跳非常恐怖 大家選擇的時候要依照自身經濟能力選擇餐廳

We enjoyed our visit at Manpuku! The quality of food was well worth it even though it’s on the pricier side! The environment was a vibe and the music was a good touch!

We celebrated my grandson passing his driving test on first try with great score. This 15 year old tried every dish on our meal celebration choice & gave rave reviews from the noodles to self cook steak. It was my second visit along with my son & my grandson’s step mother and we all were delighted with the table. From mocktails to dessert, it was memorable.

Service was pretty bad. Server shared at the end it was her first night but it didnt seem like anyone was training her so who knows. Was never actually asked if we wanted a drink. Had to ask. Had to ask to refill waters as well. Server didnt write down our order and forgot a dish. Didnt arrive until we were done the rest of the food so that was disappointing. She never did own the mistake or apologize for it. Wasnt super busy but it felt as though as soon as we finished our last bite we were presented the bill. Just really odd timing. Food was just okay. Expensive for the BBQ menu for the quanitity you recieve. Miso BBQ was the highlight. Takoyaki was bland, kimchi was underwhelming, shishitos were pretty good and fried rice was also good. Cant see us going back with so many other options available but was worth trying.

The traditional Omakase has an excellent choice of meats and shrimp. My favorite was the pork belly and miso skirt steak. The sake flight was great, helped us choose the right one for each person in the party. So was the service, very friendly and helpful.

FAQs

Yes, Manpuku is a popular choice for date night thanks to its interactive Japanese yakiniku experience, high-quality meats (including Wagyu), and a warm, celebratory atmosphere. Many guests praise it for anniversaries, birthdays, and romantic dinners; several mention attentive service, sake flights, and premium omakase that make evenings feel special. If you want a quieter table, aim for a weekday or an early seating and mention it when you book to help set the right tone.

Portions can vary by menu choice: many guests find the tasting/omakase and premium platters generous and satisfying, while a handful note some individual cuts feel smaller for the price. Several guests recommend upgrading to premium cuts for better value and say platters and the garlic fried rice/side dishes help round out a meal. Expect a higher price point but generally good quality, consider sharing platters or the omakase for a fuller experience.

Family-friendly: yes, guests often celebrate birthdays and bring teens or family groups, and many reviews describe enjoyable family meals. Seating is arranged for table-side grilling (yakiniku), which works well for groups. Accessibility specifics (ramps, ADA seating) are not provided in available information, so call the restaurant if you have specific accessibility needs.

For a more relaxed experience, visit early on a weekday or on Sunday evening, guests note quieter weekday visits and recommend going early to avoid crowds. If you want a lively atmosphere, weekend evenings (Friday and Saturday) are busiest and best for a celebratory vibe; reservations or earlier times are wise on those nights.

Overall the atmosphere is upscale-casual and lively yet cozy, many guests call it a "vibe, " "classy, " and great for celebrations. Guests praise attentive hosts, quiet comfort even when busy, and a fun interactive dining style. A few isolated guests reported issues (cleanliness, smells, or disruptive neighboring patrons), so experiences can vary; most feedback, however, highlights a welcoming, celebratory environment.

The dress code is casual dress. Guests typically arrive in comfortable, smart-casual attire suitable for an evening out celebrating special occasions or a relaxed dinner with friends.

Yes, many guests bring families and celebrate children’s milestones here. Reviews describe teens trying a variety of dishes and family birthday parties. There isn’t a dedicated kids’ menu mentioned, so for younger children consider early seating and plan to share approachable items like garlic fried rice, gyoza, or grilled vegetables. If you have special needs (allergies, seating), call ahead to discuss.

Busiest: Friday and Saturday evenings (later service to 11 PM) and special dates/holidays. Quietest: early weekday evenings and some Sunday nights, guests note quieter mid-week visits and recommend early seating for a calmer experience. If you prefer a lively, celebratory vibe, aim for weekend nights; for a more relaxed meal, pick a Tuesday–Thursday evening.

For a balance of atmosphere and lower crowds, midweek (Tuesday–Thursday) or an early Sunday evening is best, guests praise quieter weekday visits and recommend going early. If you want a festive, buzzy experience, Friday or Saturday nights are ideal but expect busier service and make reservations.
