    Honestly one of the most memorable, delicious meals I’ve had in a long time! We started with wonderful mussels and clams, moved on to the delicious fish special of flounder with shrimp in a lemon caper sauce, and finished with ridiculously tasty cheesecake flan and chocolate creme brûlée. Can’t wait to go back!

    Our dining experience was extremely positive. Our server tonight was Mateo and she was a delight. She has a quirky sense of humor (which we enjoyed!), she was informative, efficient, and timely with a smile. Our appetizer of fried gnocchi was outstanding. The seafood risotto was creamy, rich and full of shrimp, mussels, and clams. The veal dish was also rich and creamy, but also had the only miss of the night - roasted Brussels sprouts are usually a favorite, but you couldn’t get your fork in them. We

    Tuesday is the perfect night to grab an intimate dinner at Mare Monte. It’s become our favorite spot to catch up with old friends. The staff is delightful, never rushes us which is good because we savored every last bite of our appetizers, main course and dessert. I almost don’t want to recommend it, for fear we won’t be able to get a table this fall/winter!

    1 star overall, 4 stars for service I made a reservation an hour in advance since it was late at night, only to arrive and find out the chef had already left. Beyond disappointing, especially since I was starving and nothing else in the area was still open by then. If the kitchen is closing early, please don't accept reservations for that time, or at least call to let people know. The service is the only reason this isn't worse. The waitress was very kind and sweet enough to bring me a tiramisu. She handled a bad situation with real grace, and she deserves the 4 stars on her.

    As always, we enjoyed another delicious meal at Mare Monte. We started with the special burrata appetizer served over mixed greens, roasted peppers, candied walnuts & a balsamic drizzle. It was excellent! My husband then went with our favorite pasta dish, Pappardelle Bolognese, which did not disappoint. I had the Squid Ink Linguine served with 4 jumbo shrimp in a spicy Diavolo sauce. It was scrumptious. Service was excellent. The only negative of the evening was the main dishes were served too quickly. I had not finished my appetizer when our main dishes were brought out. In the future, I will order my appetizer & wait a bit to order my main meal so as to have a break in between courses & not feel so rushed!
