Excellent service from friendly servers and very good food but, as everything at Windjammers, very expensive. We made reservations but only a few diners throughout the evening. We started with vergy good poppadums and mango/tamarin chutney and followed with could-be-crisper-onion bahjis. We both opted for midl lamb dishes, both of which were good; rogan josh and lamb korma, the latter could have done with more turmeric, with basmati rice, and washed down with a glass of red each. Masala's ambiance is good for the evening and if you're lucky, as we were and arrive around 6.30 you will see the sun go down and the sky turn red. The one real disappointment - apparently frequently mentioned by previous diners, is that this Indian restaurant no longer offers mango lassi for dessert - and hotel and restaurant management has turned a deaf ear to these justifiable demands. They offered this easy-to-make dessert last year. So, what happened? WE DEMAND RESTORATION!.

Portions are super small but very tasty. We had the mutter and the butter chicken as well as the garlic naan (slightly burnt) and samosas. Great all around.

Masala is below Dragonfly and therefore it’s open air and next to the ocean. A really lovely setting to eat. There is no air con but we are British so take every opportunity to eat in the warmth. The food was incredible. The butter chicken was delicious. The portions are huge so we are glad we didn’t order starters. We booked an 8:30 table and it was school holidays so it was quiet. We did pre book our restaurant just in case but if you’re there in busy season and eat late you would be fine.

We ate here for dinner while staying at the Windjammer. The food was absolutely delicious. Some of the best Indian food I have eaten. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this as one of your meals if you are staying at the Windjammer!

Our last experience at this restaurant was very good. This time it fell short. My potato and chick pea samosa starter was good but barely warm. The Goan fish dish was boring with no crunchy spices and a bland blended sauce. I asked to exchange and had the chicken marsala instead which was very good. The nan bread also excellent. The two wines we preferred were not available. The sommelier offered us an alternative for 10 usd more! We settled for a minuty rose instead which was considerably cheaper than our original choices. A bottle of Cloudy Bay is over $120 and and a bottle of good Sancerre around 95. We could not hear the restaurant music due to the singer performing upstairs. Top marks to Tracey our server. We were celebrating my birthday and she was disappointed on my behalf in that I wasn’t getting the usually-great experience. . She did her very best to improve the situation. She is a star… I did get a birthday song and a delicious chocolate cake and decorated plate which was lovely. Sadly the meal was very expensive. 1 cocktail each, a bottle of wine and two courses each came to 300 USD. Prices are set by the resort not the individual restaurant…
