Richard was our server and he is a real asset. He was friendly and well informed. He helped make it special. By the way the singer at the bar was outstanding. Highly recommend on all. The food and service was outstanding.

What a terrible experience. The steaks look like something you would get at Denny’s if you ordered steak and eggs. My traveling partner ordered his steak medium and it was well done and I ordered mine medium rare and it was medium or well done as well. They replaced mine but it was just absolute crap. We thought we were getting a bargain for $45 each but a steak at Sizzler or Black Angus would’ve actually been better. Our waiter seemed bored and the restaurant was so dark we could hardly see each other. We asked if we could have two more of the tiny cornmeal biscuits and the assistant server said it was nine dollars for eight of them! There were only two of us! Eight biscuits?? I wouldn’t feed this food to my dog if he was starving… Complete rip off.

This is open to the casino and on the first floor. You can smell the cigarette smoke and hear the games, so it’s nice, but not exclusive. I was hopi g this up high near the top with a view, but it’s not. You have to pay the fee for the view no matter what.

This was our second visit to this restaurant. On a Thursday night in February with bad weather there was only 5 other tables seated. I seamed like they were giving inexperienced wait staff an opportunity to wait tables. Our waitress did a great job but seemed nervous with her poor language skills. The assistant waitress kept trying to take plates even as we were in the middle of eating what was on the plate. Our food was outstanding.

We went there for Valentine’s Day dinner, and it was delicious, the server was great, and they provided a really cute heart backdrop to take photos. It was a lovely evening! ❤️

FAQs

Yes, McCall’s is often recommended for date night. Guests frequently praise the low-lit, cozy ambience, live music on some nights, attentive servers, and romantic touches like anniversary cards and fireplace seating. The menu focuses on premium steaks, smoked BBQ and seafood, with shareable sides and cocktails that suit a celebratory evening. Note: the dining room opens onto the casino floor, so you may hear casino noise or cigarette smell in some areas, ask to be seated in a quieter spot when you reserve.

Best times are early dinner on non-show nights or midweek evenings when the restaurant is quieter. Many guests recommend arriving before show times (pre-show dining) or early to enjoy a relaxed meal. Avoid peak show nights, holiday specials (Valentine’s Day), and busy weekend evenings if you prefer a very quiet table; those times can be crowded or timed tightly for guests going to performances.

Sometimes, McCall’s runs special holiday offerings (guests and the Mother’s Day menu confirm holiday service), and reviewers describe Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day events. Hours and availability vary by holiday, so call ahead or check the STRAT/McCall’s announcements for specific holiday service and reservations.

Portions at McCall’s tend to be generous, guests often mention large, shareable servings and value for the price. Entrees like steaks, prime rib and BBQ platters are described as hearty, and many parties split sides or desserts. A few guests found some items smaller than expected, so if you want extra to share, consider ordering a side or starter (cowboy nachos or garlic parmesan fries are popular).

Ambience is warm and relaxed, many guests describe low lighting, soft live music on some nights, jazz or mellow pop, and a classic steakhouse feel that’s good for romantic dinners. A handful of guests note occasional loud music from nearby casino speakers or cigarette smoke drifting in since the dining room opens onto the casino. Overall, expect a comfortable, casual-steakhouse atmosphere with friendly service.

Yes, guests report staff accommodating special requests like anniversary cards, complimentary desserts, and photo backdrops. The restaurant handles birthday/anniversary touches well, so call ahead to note dietary needs, seating preferences (quiet booth or fireplace), or celebration requests. For accessibility or big-group seating, contact the restaurant in advance so they can prepare.

Weekdays or non-show evenings are often the best bet for a relaxed meal. Guests report quieter, more attentive service midweek and early evenings, whereas weekends and major event nights (shows, Valentine’s Day) can be busy. If you want live music or a special holiday menu, plan around advertised event nights.

Family-friendly seating: yes, guests regularly bring families, celebrate birthdays, and dine with teens. The atmosphere accommodates groups celebrating special occasions. Accessible seating: specific accessibility details aren’t published, so if you need wheelchair access or other accommodations, call ahead so the team can help with seating and any special needs.

Yes, families and kids do dine here, and guests often celebrate birthdays with children or teens. The menu is meat- and steak-forward with large portions and shareable items, but there isn’t a dedicated kids’ menu listed. If you’re bringing younger children, consider an early seating and call ahead to discuss menu flexibility or quieter seating options.

Busiest: weekend evenings, show nights and holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day) tend to fill the restaurant and may require reservations. Quietest: midweek evenings and early dinner times are generally calmer, several guests describe the place as a ‘well-kept secret’ that’s often not busy. If you plan to dine before or after a STRAT show, allow extra time for service on busy nights.

McCall’s posts limited evening hours: Thu & Sun 4:00 pm–10:00 pm, Fri & Sat 4:00 pm–11:00 pm. Because the restaurant often programs special holiday menus and pre/post-show traffic, hours or special service nights (Valentine’s, Mother’s Day features) can vary, call ahead or check the STRAT schedule if you're planning a visit on a holiday or show night.

Casual dress is the stated dress code, so smart-casual attire is appropriate for most visits. Guests have reported wearing casual to slightly dressy outfits for anniversaries and special occasions, nothing overly formal is required, but many guests opt for neat, date-night attire.
