The food was amazing!!!

Had dinner last Saturday after visiting the fine arts museum. Loved the sushi rolls shrimp Tripura was Fab. They have a nice drink list.

The sushi was better than your average stop; however, I have better at other top sushi places for a lower price.

MF Sushi is our sashimi/nigiri restaurant of choice in Houston. We absolutely love it, and indulge here more than our wallets say we should. Before today, we've always left feeling we got the best of the best. This time however, everything was just a little off. Not sure if there was a new chef/someone being trained, but we felt like the cuts of fish were just a bit off (some tougher chews), the flavors were just a bit off balance...still good, just not what we've come to expect. For the first time we dined there, the server also seemed a tad bit pushy with menu items/cocktails. Again, not our first rodeo, didn't need the hard sell. Will definitely return as always, just saw this as a bump in the road.

the food was amazing and the experience was wonderful, we went early at 530 and it was empty. the room started to fill up around 7 but from a COVID perspective I was very pleased with their protocol.
can't wait to go back

Had a great evening at MF Sushi. The fish was fresh and service was amazing! I highly recommend trying the signature nigiri A5 Wagyu beef, Osaka box roll, chef’s choice nigiri and tuna tartare. Those are my favorites! Will definitely be coming back again.

Best sushi place in town. The decorations are amazing and they have a great deal on the sake flight.

Some of the best sushi you can find in Houston! Wait staff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the food. We basically told our waiter what we liked and he took care of the rest. Highly recommended!!

This was a fantastic birthday experience. We had a phenomenal time. The service was very knowledge on all aspects of the menu and sitting next to the sushi bar was a delight to watch!

Best sushi in Houston!

Always a wonderful experience at this elegantly simple spot. The menu is creative but approachable. And they easily accommodate vegans.

This may be the best sushi in Houston, but the podium police at door consistently let the place down. Asking for a booth at the time of booking and confirming by telephone is like praying for rain in the Sahara. I go back because of the food, but knowing I will have to grin and bear the front of house experience.

They were out of literally every white/light fish on the menu .. someone dropped the ball on peeping for the holidays. Server had to come back to our table like 5 different times to tell us what we ordered couldn’t be placed. Pretty crappy experience.

MF is the best sushi in Houston, period. No one else comes close. The service and the food are both fantastic. If you truly love sashimi and nigiri, this is your place.

Everything was amazing as per usual. We hadn’t dined in many restaurants since COVID but since one of our good friends was in town we decided it was time to go get our cravings in at MF. We were absolutely satisfied with the service and the food is as fantastic as it always is. I admire consistency and MF does it very well.

Fantastic find in downtown. We went all out and ordered a myriad of items from the menu. Absolutely everything was amazing. The service was impeccable. Pricing was a little on the high end, but expected for the location and quality.

MF never fails to serve up incredible sashimi and nigiri - not only the best sushi in Houston but I’ll stack it up against anywhere in the US.

I have a medical condition that prohibits and exempts me from wearing a mask. I have been a loyal customer, never hassled before and for the most part been very pleased with my experiences with your restaurant. Last visit I was hassled and made wait 15 minutes by hostess about a mask while she got manager approval to seat me. If it happens again I will leave 1 star and NEVER RETURN. Put a note on my account to not hassle me. I always spend big and tip fat. Please don't alienate your good customers.

MF Sushi never disappoints!

MF Sushi is the best Sushi restaurant in Houston. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are a Sushi lover you can not miss this place.

The services here is the best in Houston. Their sushi quality is much better than Nobu. Everything we have ate here are excellent.

Easy walk from Hotel ZaZa. Lovely restaurant. Covid protocols in place. Excellent, novel presentations. Just very expensive, even relatively speaking for good sushi. We will go back.

We were celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary and not once did anyone acknowledge or congratulate us. The service itself was subpar and they weren’t offering their omakase.

MF Sushi remains the best sushi restaurant in Houston, if not the state. The restaurant itself is a work of art. Beautiful interior and relaxing ambiance. The sushi is also a work of art. The signature nigiri is wonderful. Appetizers such as the avocado balls are divine. Even with the restricted menu during these Covid times, the restaurant offers a wide range of delicious pieces. The restaurant is on the pricey side, but well worth it.

By far the best sushi place in the US. No brainer
