Mia Bella Trattoria - Greenway Plaza
As usual, the food at Mia Bella was good with ample portion sizes. The service was very good, but they seemed to be trying to turn tables quickly...so we felt a little rushed to order and to finish our meal.
The reason for the 3 Star rating....my pet peeve with hostesses and management of restaurants. I specifically requested a table by the windows when I made my reservation. Upon arrival, we walked right past an empty table by the window to the table that the hostess wanted us to sit at. I asked why we couldn't have the window table and was told that they were "social distancing" and would not be using that table. Less than 15 minutes later, the hostess sat a couple at the empty window table and then proceeded to sit diners at all of the tables around us!!! I went to Mia Bella several times when occupancy levels were very low to give them some much needed business....and that is how they treat a loyal customer!!
I hope that they read this review and adjust their attitude.
The food was phenomenal! I had the duck tortellini and my girlfriend had ahi tuna. Both were prepared to perfection. I also had an old fashioned and she had a Moscow mule. Both tasted exactly how they should, they used quality ginger beer in their mule. The appetizer bread was AMAZINGLY TASTY and I could have snacked on it all night. I wish I remembered my servers’ name but she was outstanding, offering suggestions and her personal favorites. Will absolutely return again.
Food and service were great! Honestly, never had a bad meal here. Hardest part is deciding what to order. Waitstaff was very attentive and made great recommendations. The evening was a much needed send off for 2020!
Plenty of space between tables and all Covid protocols were being followed.
Excellent food and service. I enjoyed the make your own risotto!
Service was impeccable and so attentive. Our waiter did not miss a beat, whether he was recommending dishes or filling up waters, or sending us home with the appetizer bread we continued to rave about without asking. The food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Outstanding service and ambiance! Food is delicious and elaborated! Overall, a great place for everyday dining, especial occasions, or to wind down at the Bar!
Let me start by saying I love Mia Bella. It is a place that I have been to many times and one that I bring out of town visitors too . However , when my three friends and I ventured out for a rare pandemic dinner-out, we were shocked at how the restaurant handled the seating of customer. When we sat down there were other diners in the restaurant, but each party was at least two tables away from the next. By the time our entrees arrived, , every table seemed to be surrounded on all sides by other diners, including ours. It was particularly disturbing when it appeared that the back section of the restaurant was barely, if at all, in use. Again, I really do enjoy this restaurant and I will likely be back.
...Just after the pandemic is over.
This place is fabulous. The service is perfect and the food is heavenly. Both my husband and i chose the ‘create your own pasta’ . He had linguini with jalapeño cilantro pesto, salmon, cheese stuffed meatballs and sun-dried tomatoes. I had gnocchi with shrimp and basil pesto. The pasta is divine. Bread and olive oil/vinegertte dipping is addictive. No room for dessert but we will return. Highly recommend.
Excellent food, wonderful service!
Excellant food and service each and
every time....will be back soon...
My boyfriend and I celebrated his 25th birthday and everything was wonderful/great. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the service. They even gave a complimentary birthday treat for him. Cute place and decent priced food.
The service was great! Food was delicious and hot your typical pasta dishes. We enjoyed our time here!
We've been in the mood for good Italian and decided to check Mia Bella out. It exceeded our expectations across the board. Service was fantastic (Jose was waiter) and food was delicious. Definitely recommend and definitely going back.
The four of us dined al fresco and began with crispy calamari as well as their nicely arranged chef's board with cheese, meats, dried fruit topped with a balsalmic-based glaze. Main course included chicken piccata modo mio, sea scallop risotto, tortellini, and lamb ossobuco. Generous wine selection allowed for balanced pairings.
Service and food were extraordinary. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive to all of my needs. I highly recommend this restaurant and I’ll definitely return!
Food and service were excellent. Only problem was we were told there was half price on bottles of wine $40 or less that night We ordered a $40.00 bottle and they did not honor the request. The waiter said he was mistaken and sorry.Too little to worry but it puts a bad taste in your mouth about the restaurant. Not sure we will be back anytime soon.
I tried Mia Bella for the first time this weekend and I was impressed. Setting up a reservation was easy. Our waiter Tony was very helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered a couple of drinks and a couple of create your own pastas. The food and drinks were outstanding. The over all ambiance of the restaurant was great as well. We opted to dine in the outdoor portion of the restaurant and it was definitely a great choice. I definitely recommend Mia Bella's.
OMG...the appetizers we enjoyed were splendid...mushroom/risotto croquettes and calamari...yummy! Our entrees were delicious also (lamb chops and salmon). The service was also first class. Thanks for making my sweetie's first experience a delightful one!
First time dining here, and it was great experience. Great food, nice ambience, and a conscientious staff.
First impression was good with a very warm welcoming, and great customer service continued throughout our lunch. The lentil soup was good and I enjoyed the gnocchi bolognese (build your own pasta) but the star of the show had to be the focaccia which I originally passed up - not sure how or why I did that but it was a mistake I corrected and won’t make again!
Mia Bella never disappoints! Best Italian in the Houston area.
Incredible service, the Duck Gyoza was AMAZING!! Will definitely be back
Guest/group were seated fairly distant from others. Though slightly short staffed they were very attentive to guest. The food quality has remained the same.
Everything was good, nothing very special. The best thing: the bread with olive oil that it always been brought to the table!!
Good location for nice family dinner.
Nice outdoor dining.
We had a wonderful dinner outside of the terrace. The food was wonderful (Brussels sprouts and bruschetta for appetizers)! The server was attentive (Elio) and the manager appropriately checked on the table. I highly recommend it.
Hot sandwich was ter
Felt more like a bother rather than a guest. They were closing and we didnt feel welcomed. We were rushed and our waiter barely even checked up on us
Family meal
Very friendly service. Food was incredibly delicious. 10/10 will recommend and come back!
We sat outside and the weather was perfect. I appreciate the staff for the amazing service.
Delicious food, incerdible service, great wine, and great prices! Emilio is the G.O.A.T.
this such a gem! innovative menu and friendly service. always feel welcome here!
We came expecting a nicer experience but this was more of an every day eatery.
The menu and bar have a lot available, but the ambiance was closer to a delicatessen than a nice restaurant.
We ordered the meatball whole wheat pasta and a side of risotto. The meatballs were a bit overdone and risotto was a bit basic, almost like it used typical American cheese. The sauce and noodles were very good though.
All that said, it was still a good experience, our expectations were just higher. Service was excellent and the staff was helpful in choosing drinks and a meal.
They do have a full bar and a few Italian beers that are very good.
Great experience for my wife's birthday (even during this pandemic)!
The service was impeccable, thanks in part to being waited on by an owner and the general manager, the decor and ambiance are conducive to a relaxing and enjoyable night for my wife and I's first date in over a year, but the food was the true star. The mushroom risotto croquettes were slightly dry but that was more than made up for by the delicious pesto sauce. The roasted cauliflower was an excellent mix of sweet, savory, and smoky. The focaccia and balsamic were out of this world. My scallop with pea risotto was one of the best things I have ever tasted, my wife was over the moon about the seafood scallopini, and the deserts (chocolate mousse cheesecake and Italian cream cake). And the portions were very generous for the price. Overall an excellent experience and one we will be repeating as often as possible!
There are 2 other tables in the restaurant. This is very different than before COVID when it was crowded. BUT the food was still terrific and the staff very attentive while taking precautions.
We recommend Mia Bella - it was a quiet delight!
This was a casual business lunch for 3 people. Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Excellent variety on the menu. Food quality was very high, and was prepared perfectly. Very attentive service. Overall an outstanding experience.
Highly recommend!
We had an amazing dinner. Emilio took incredibly great care of us and I can not wait to celebrate our next upcoming event there!
