Thoroughly enjoyed the open air dining and the yummy lollipop lamb chops along with the sweet rolls with Lilikoi butter which we had along with Pinot Grigio. We were there for our anniversary and gifted a delicious creme brûlée as well. Are only negative comments have to do with being unable to find our waiter, who was otherwise very nice and attentive until this point, to get our bill at the end of the night and the way they add the tip in for you. We were not offered a local discount either which we always appreciate since we do live here. However I would still return for the lamb chops! Great spot to go to on full moon night!

We were seated with hardly anyone in the restaurant and it took 15 min to have service come by. It took even longer for food and drinks and the. Even longer to get my change back. The food was mediocre. So disappointed

Wonderful experience as usual. We dine there once a month and always satisfied. We had the pleasure of of having Napua as our server and exceeded our expectations! The hostess is always so friendly and greets us by our name being that we do go there every month without an occasion just to treat ourselves. Never seen the chef around but he does a hell of a job food always on point. The place runs it self never seen a manager on the floor. They have a great staff.

Went for the first time for my birthday. We enjoyed ourselves and the food was good. I had the oysters as a starter and both sauces were good. My wife had the beet salad which was excellent. For our mains, I opted for the filet which was larger than I’m used to and the cook and sauce was very good. My wife had the mahi-mahi and it was excellent. We opted to share a chocolate torte for dessert and that was disappointing as it was either overcooked or old with the texture of a brownie. Service was a bit slow as it appeared there was only one waiter handling the tables with a trainee

FAQs

Yes. Families and children dine here regularly and many guests said their kids enjoyed the menu. The focus is on seafood and mains rather than a kids’ menu, so younger children may do best earlier in the evening; call ahead if you need high chairs or menu flexibility.

Yes. The restaurant accepts private parties and the hotel can host events, guests and the owner’s notes reference banquet/private use of the dining area. Contact the restaurant or hotel events team to plan menus, capacity and room setup.

Yes. Moa Moa is frequently recommended for romantic nights, guests praise the outdoor lanai, ocean breeze, tiki torches, live music and servers who create memorable moments (including serenades). The dining style is Casual Elegant, so it’s a comfortable spot for anniversaries or special dinners. Expect a quieter, more intimate vibe at dusk; for peak romance ask for an outside table and mention your celebration when you reserve.

Portions are generally generous for mains, guests often note satisfying entree sizes (filet, mahi mahi, shrimp pasta) and shareable starters. A number of diners called portions ample and good value for the price, though a few noted some dishes or sides felt small compared with cost. If you plan to share starters and dessert, the menu supports that approach.

Warm, relaxed and island‑inspired, think Casual Elegant with an open‑air lanai, garden views, tiki torches and live background music. Many guests describe a peaceful, romantic vibe with attentive servers; a few guests noted wind or competing live music at times and occasional staffing strains that affected service speed.

Midweek evenings are often best for a quieter, more relaxed experience and attentive service. If you want a lively atmosphere or live music, choose weekend nights, but book early because weekends and holidays fill up fast.

Dinner service daily from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. If you’re planning a holiday or special-event meal (Valentine’s, New Year’s, etc.), note the restaurant runs special prix‑fixe menus on those dates, so check ahead.

Moa Moa offers outdoor lanai seating with ocean and garden sightlines and an indoor dining area that doubles with hotel banquet spaces. They also accept private parties. If you need a specific layout (private booth, patio table, or event space), call ahead so staff can reserve the best spot for your occasion.

They don’t note a formal waiting list, but reservations are strongly recommended, guests report busy holiday evenings and weekends with occasional delays or understaffing. If you don’t have a reservation you may wait during peak times, so call ahead or book early.

Busiest: weekend evenings and holidays (Valentine’s Day, Christmas Eve, New Year’s) when special menus draw crowds. Quietest: early dinner seatings (around opening at 5:30 PM) and some weekday nights, guests say early seats often get faster, more attentive service.

Early dinner seating (first seating around 5:30 PM) on weeknights is often the best balance of service and atmosphere, guests reported quicker, more attentive service at early seatings. For romance and sunset ambiance pick dusk; for a livelier scene try weekend evenings, but expect busier service and reservations recommended.

Smart Casual. Guests typically dress nicely but comfortably, think collared shirts, dresses or neat resort wear. The setting is relaxed yet refined, matching the Casual Elegant dining style.

Accessibility details aren’t provided in the available information, so call ahead to confirm wheelchair access or specific seating needs.
