There were 6 of us for dinner, celebrating a birthday .. everyone enjoyed their dinner and we shared a few desserts that were just prefect! A very nice evening. Thank You.
Food and service were both excellent.
The beet salad with goat cheese and pistachios was fabulous. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and was a generous portion. The trout was light and delicious. The wine selection is vast with many great options at various price points.
I was having dinner with an old friend. We hadn’t seen each other in a long time. Ross, our server, did a great job of being attentive while giving us space to talk. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.
I have dined at Murphy’s numerous times but things were “off” on Sunday.
It was our first time at Murphy’s, and it was a great experience!! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were perfect. We’ll definitely be going back again!
5-stars across the board! The food was excellent and timely. The service was perfect with just enough attention to allow nice conversation without wondering when we would get a refill.
Highly recommended and making plans to return soon!
What a delightful dining experience. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed the grilled artichoke appetizer.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of Atlanta! The Guinness Braised Brisket is probably one of the BEST items on the menu! It’s so delicious! Their bakery is also wonderful! My most recent visit was taken care of by waitress, Lauren! She was excellent and very knowledgeable of everything on the menu!
Terrible service !!! Food was less than expected.
The food and service was excellent. They make a great old fashioned.
Food was not as good as I have experienced in the past. Otherwise, very good evening.
Friends visiting from out of town
Many thanks to Murphy's great staff who took care of us. Always great to be back and we enjoyed the patio very much. Special Thanks to Ute!!
Waldorf chicken salad on croissant was dripping with soupy mayo so I had to eat it with a fork. Not what I’m used to at Murphy’s.
Nice neighborhood place. Food is great and always consistent.
Little contact with waitress. Never asked if we wanted additional cocktails. Empty dishes sat on the table for 10 minutes.
Had a wonderful time and the food was amazing. The noise level was a bit much but then what does one expect when they come on Summer Fest. Did not know about that annual event - definitely would like to come back next year and check out your wine tasting!
Whats not to like? Good food! Great service, reasonable prices!
Excellent food and service. Will definitely return.
Murphy's is the quintessential local neighborhood restaurant. Have dined there many times and every meal has been outstanding. They are always accommodating for changing requests. Everyone has a smile and makes you feel welcome. The food is incredible. Everyone in our family loves the restaurant. The area in which it is located has nice bars, a gelato shop and other businesses for a post meal stroll. I have also taken business clients there and they likewise have truly enjoyed it - quiet for good conversations while enjoying top quality food and drinks. Very comfortable atmosphere and meals which are always memorable.
Generally Murphy's is reliably much better than average. The noise level that night was more than we usually encounter. I wish every restaurant in Atlanta would invest in some sound dampening.
Service was excellent.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and provided drink / food combinations.
Food was a nice balance and value for large portions.
Great service and also a wonderful meal.
I chose Murphy’s because it was an old landmark restaurant. I was hosting new people to the area who happened to be our son, his in-laws, a baby and toddler. Usually children are served pretty quickly, but it was awhile before our orders were taken. A glass of wine didn’t come until we were all done eating. We were disappointed in our food. ( I have never complained before and almost didn’t write this review.)
Your menu continues to be outstanding; there is something for everyone. All the food was generous, well plated and very good. The only short-fall was too much salt (way too much salt!) on the protein, the potatoes, and the salad dressings. Not only does so much salt take away from the tasted of the food, but it can be unhealthy for many of your diners. We had the trio dessert: that was really outstanding, especially for the price.
Wonderful brunch /breakfast. Served in a great room with attentive staff. Thanks Tom Murphy
We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. We went to Murphy’s on our first date. It’s a restaurant that holds great memories. The food and service are consistent and good.
The food is always at least good and frequently very good.
I have never had a bad meal at Murphy's! It has been one of my favorite restaurants since the nineties!
Great as always! The brisket sandwich was excellent.
Always great. In Napa now and no duck or chicken dish here compares to what we get at Murphy’s.
I have been a customer of Murphy's for over 30 years. Although the restaurant has changed over the years, the quality has always been a constant. For years it has been our standard for special occasions and more.
Beautiful Mother’s Day dinner, my mother has been going to Murphy’s for many years and it has always been one of our favorites. Can’t wait to go back!
Patio lovely for Mother’s Day Dinner. Our companions from Italy found their ribeye steaks perfect. My trout dinner excellent. And we could not pass up the trio of desserts. Just as we had hoped for.
Great as always. Tom Murphy’s believes in healthy fresh food at a reasonable price.
The best service and consistent food in Atlanta with great ambience
Love this restaurant so so much. Every time I bring someone from out to town they say it’s the best place we got food!
Always predictabley good
Highly sought after but quite mediocre experience.
Very good wait staff, but each and every entree lack luster - there was no amount of salt, pepper, and lemon juice available to resurrect the trout (regular on the menu) or special halibut, from being anything other than bland and tasteless. Steak entree overcooked. Caesar salad under dressed and basically tasteless. Wine price point quite high. In a city of upcoming restaurants, I'm afraid Murphy's is lost on tradition and the fact that it's a trendy and comfortable dining neighborhood. I'm sorry to have to write this review.
