Overall was good service of the omelet guy was amazing I see the enforcement of the other employees they did their best to help us out because our table wasn’t ready and we waited a for it. And when finally we got seated there was not food left. We still had a good time and yes we will go back although I get an other to go and was incomplete. Always checking out your to go orders!

I always loved Nellie’s, but the food took too long and it was cold. The food was good, but I like my food really hot (but that’s a personal preference). The only issue was the cold food, but it was still good.

I came to Nellie’s for the first time to enjoy their brunch buffet. The selection of food was great and I couldn’t help but sample a little bit of everything! I believe we got there a little early into service as there were some areas of the buffet station unattended when I first walked into the back, but the gentleman at the egg station was very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Our server was very busy and unable to stop by the table as often as we needed, so there was a few gaps of time where my guest and I had to wait for drinks and/or necessary condiments, but not enough to deter me from going back. Buffets get busy and the support staff was quick to step in to grab our server when they noticed we’d been waiting a little long. The ambiance of the restaurant felt very homey and I would love to go back with more people and perhaps sit on the patio to really take in the Full atmosphere of this Humboldt Park staple! If the food served at their brunch buffet is this good, I can’t wait to see how great their dinner is!

The best jibaritos. Our food came out faster than previous visits, so that was a welcome improvement. Maduros and coconut oatmeal are also delicious. The service is always friendly. Such a great casual neighborhood gem with really good food.

Nellie's has the best steak jibaritos! The coconut oatmeal is also delicious. The maduros are hit and miss - sometimes they're soft and sweet, other times they're dry. The service can be slow, but it is always friendly. Decor is easy-going and comfortable with fun art. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Nellie's is our favorite spot for Puerto Rican and worth the drive (about 35 minutes for us).

Great. Time the food was on par. Try the buffet. It’s worth the price. U must try the oatmeal. Great service. Very attentive. Ask for the omelet cook to tell u the story of the artwork
