The desert menu is very poor, what ever happened to cakes, pies and other deserts?
The view was really great! Met a friend for breakfast, the food was just ok.
I expected more from the food side honestly, especially for the prices. I had the crab salad Benedict and it was well cooked but under seasoned. The breakfast potatoes were very under seasoned.
The hostess was very nice and welcoming, but the service felt rushed which I did not appreciate at all. There were many open tables and I felt like my friend and I couldn’t have a leisurely breakfast experience.
The view gets the most points from my experience. Food was underwhelming, at that price point. The service was underwhelming as well, unacceptable at that price point.
Great, interesting food. Ask for a window table: great view. Excellent wine list. Can be a wait as very busy
Great service and food with beautiful view!
Food was excellent and while the wine we chose was fine, it was overpriced and the wine list in general is excessively pricey. There were not enough wait staff and we had to wait too long to order.
A+ : came for dinner and breakfast. Such a treat, incredible view.
Our server was outstanding! Our group was sort of a mess, out of town family members with limited english and big personalities. Our server was so patient and accommodating.
It was an AWFUL EVENING!
A drunk Man wasn’t asked to Leave & he cursed every word imaginable over & over Again! I had to ask the manager to have HIM LEAVE!!
With the view of Michigan Avenue and the wonderful food you cannot go wrong at NoMI.
Everything was spot on as far as our table service and food. Our server was very polite and knowledgeable. Thank you to the Manager on duty for offering a specialized side with one of the Entrees. Sushi was amazing! I wouldve gladly have 5 stars, however, host stand could use some work with communication and friendly accommodation, especially with existing reservations.
Great views overlooking Michigan Ave and the water tower place complemented the good food and very attentive service. The meals were prepared with fresh ingredients and with a light touch and delicious flavors. The wine list was interesting and well curated but on the expensive side.
We went to Nomi when we were in Chicago for our anniversary. Wonderful meal, service and a view to die for.
This is now on our list of restaurants we will go to on our annual trips to Chicago.
Fantastic meal celebrating my twins birthday. Even complimentary treats after our brunch!
Under all the beautiful design it’s a Basic hotel restaurant trying too hard.
booked a reservation for 4 people and requested a window seat , very nice place to have dinner of any occasion specially having guest from out of town, very pleased with the server and food presentation as will as the taste, highly recommended , a little pricy compared to others but it comes with good food, service and ambience
Fell in love with NoMi and Park Hyatt two years ago when my husband got married here. We even made a pact to celebrate our anniversaries here because we had such a great experience. We came back in 2017 and remembered how special this place was to us, but today must of been an off day. Not sure if it was because we made a lunch reservation instead of a dinner reservation, but it was kind of a mess from the moment we arrived to the restaurant. Our reservation was at 1:45 pm and the hostess seemed annoyed and kept telling us the kitchen stopped serving at 2 pm, but she could seat us. Why would they allow us to make a reservation when the start the hostess tried to tell us they were closing the kitchen, which was confusing. Why would they let us make a reservation if the kitchen was closed? It took another person working at the restaurant to clarify the kitchen was open but we couldn’t order brunch, which was fine since we were there for lunch anyway. The service was lacking and the staff wasn’t nearly as attentive as they usually are. It was disappointing since this place means so much to us and this was where we wanted to celebrate our day. The food was good but the special touches we fell in love with were not there. I’m hoping the staff was just having an off day.
Started off with the hostess wishing my wife a happy birthday and asking if we wanted to wait for a special table or be seated right away. We opted for the special table and it was worth the short wait. Quiet table on the end by the windows , best seat in the house. Joe Aka John Wick was our server and he was outstanding ! Food recommendations were perfect and his service was flawless , a true pro! Ladies according to my wife not hard on the eyes either . Then we were surprised with a Fantastic desert along with assorted candies and cookies for my wife’s Birthday. Perfect night ! Thanks Joe and thanks Nomi !
NoMi is always a pleasure. The Food, Service and Hospitality was spot on. And the location with its view of the Water Tower and ambiance is extraordinary. We enjoyed the mix of Sushi and the other starters to kick off the meal. Not to be missed for the main course were the halibut and the lamb chops. We celebrated a birthday and the staff could not have done a better job in meeting and exceeding all of our requests. Kudos to NoMi.
The food and dessert is fantastic. High quality ingredients and nicely-prepared meals. Our special treat here is the ice-cream (sesame and dark chocolate). The mark-up for wine is a bit high, but this is true for all Chicago high-end restaurants. Great view if you can get a seat near the window. Awesome time!
I popped in here for lunch with family and it was outstanding. A bit overpriced but hey, you’re in the Hyatt in downtown Chicago! The food was outstanding from the soup to the club sandwich and the steak offered. The club sandwich is HUGE but one of the best I’ve ever had.
The service is spot on and our waiter was a kind and attentive as could be. I highly recommend this place.
One of the best dining experiences in Chi-town. The decor and service is excellent. The window seat overlooking the Water Tower and Michigan Ave. is lovely. Special valet parking is available too (4 hour $21).
Loved the biscuits and gravy!!! Savory and Delicious!
Wonderful food and wonderful service with an amazing view! We really enjoyed ourselves.
Never disappointed at Nomi- always go there for special events
The vue is beautiful, especially if you have a table close to the windows! The food is good, the portion are not too big and the prices are fair. The main issue of our meal is that our servor did not send our order through and we had to wait 35 minutes to two dishes :-( He made it up to us by offering the drinks but that was still surprizing for the restaurant of a hotel like the Park Hyat.
The service, appetizers, wine and the ambience we’re all very good. Completely over cooked the fish.
My family and I love the place, the food, the service, the view, the elegance of the tables and overall area. And great menu as well.
Great Sunday brunch atmosphere, wonderful view and great food. Well worth the trip! We’ll definitely visit there again when we come to Chicago!
Enjoyed a quiet brunch with my college aged daughter to top off family weekend at school. Everything was delicious. Our view was perfect.
Excellent dinner at NoMi. They seem to be back on top form after some mixed performances over the last few years. Food and service were both superb and the dining room had a very nice ambiance. Of course pricing was the usual full on 5* experience but that goes with the territory. We look forward to our next visit
We had a lovely dinner.
The food was great and a perfect waiter made it even better.
Definitely I place where I will love to come back!!
NoMi is still one of the absolute very best Chicago has to offer. They don’t boast or brag about the kind of phenomenal experience your going to have. They simply execute, every time. The food, atmosphere and service are top notch. We’ve been fortunate to have Joe as our server one quite a few occasions, and he makes the experience a 10. Nomi, keep doing what your doing. A++++
Very good food, service and ambiance . I will recommend it to everyone I know. It is my daughter and son in law’s favorite place every time they visit Chicago they eat at NoMI . Very convenient location close to all attractions .
I visited Nomi three times in three weeks with colleagues from Asia, London and the US. Everyone loved the food and ambiance, as well as the great and friendly service. For over ten years, NoMi's has remained one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago.
We had not been back for about 6 years and found the food very disappointing for the price: the dishes we had (caesar salad, ratatouille, lobster, halibut, salmon, a couple of desserts) were fine but not what you'd expect in a top-flight restaurant where the bill is over $100 per person. The service was ok during the meal, but it took a long time for our main waiter to take care of us initially, we had to flag him over because we were hungry--and the restaurant was quite empty. We would not recommend or return in the current state of things. The view is lovely, but that's about it.
A very enjoyable experience. The food and service was top notch. Be sure to ask for a window table if it's available, because the view is fantastic!
Nicky and Eartha at the front desk were the best! They were very helpful in advising me about the menu for my special occasion reservation.
Thank you as always for a memorable night with delish food
Got to sit by the window overlooking Michigan Ave which was nice. Probably because it was 6pm on a Wednesday night :) Waiter was nice and attentive when necessary. Great time!
NoMi was a fantastic restaurant for us to hold a business dinner for a large group (10). NoMi was very flexible, accommodating and provided exceptional customer service. The meal and drinks were top notch. They even accommodated vegan options for a few in our group. Would definitely recommend.
