About this restaurant

  • Innovative
  • Good for groups
  • Good for special occasions
NOPI is the definitive Ottolenghi restaurant, in the heart of Soho. It's where the Ottolenghi approach to flavour gets the full restaurant treatment. Seasonal cooking, ambitious flavours, and a global pantry - with the time and space to do them justice.

Upstairs, individual tables seat up to six guests among white marble and gold brass. Downstairs, two communal tables overlook the open kitchen and larder, for those who like watching the pass while they eat. The same tables can also be set up for private or semi-private dining, for groups wanting a bit more separation from the main room.

The wine list favours low-intervention producers, and the cocktail list changes with the seasons, built around house infusions, shrubs and spice.

  • A Sunday roast, the NOPI way

    £55.00 per person

    1 - 9 people

    Multiple dates available
Sundays are for getting together around a table of food that’s taken a little longer to prepare: roast meats, gravies and sauces cooked low and slow, gathering flavour as they go. Plates are passed round, no one’s in a hurry, and occasionally there’s a fight over the last Yorkshire. At NOPI, Sundays are exactly that, but we handle the cooking. We start with a selection to share: pitta, burnt aubergine dip and a few small plates. Then comes roast leg of lamb or chicken, with a soy and star anise gravy that has orange, ginger and a little Szechuan pepper running through it. In place of the Yorkshire, a Dutch baby pancake – baked in a hot pan until it puffs up, crisp at the edges and soft in the middle. For those not eating meat, there’s a mushroom and leek pie, with toum and pickled cucumber. Sides come to share, and dessert’s an optional extra, if there’s room. Starters to share Pitta bread Burnt aubergine dip Marinated chilli peppers, cumin, parsley, preserved lemon Courgette fritters, green shatta aioli Cauliflower florets, garlic yoghurt, chilli crunch Choice of main Lamb leg, star anise gravy, grapes, Dutch baby pancake Chicken, star anise gravy, Dutch baby pancake Shawarma-spiced mushroom and leek pie, garlic toum, pickled cucumber Sides to share Chaat masala potatoes, curry leaf Carrots, parsnips, maple, Ottolenghi dukkah Dessert, if there’s room Tonka panna cotta, roasted pineapple, pumpkin seed brittle / 10 Hazelnut crémeux, Metaxa syrup, cocoa nib brittle / 10 Baked custard affogato, coconut meringue brittle / 10 Lime cheesecake, sesame, yuzu syrup / 10 £55 per person. Dessert charged separately. Sundays only. Reservations between 12pm - 3.15pm.

The food was absolutely delicious! Creative combinations of flavors that I thoroughly enjoyed. Lively atmosphere with great service. The drinks we had were also thoughtfully crafted and delicious. It is not cheap, but a fun place for a special dinner.

Interesting experience. I’ve been meaning to have dinner at Nopi for years. I finally made it. Food was pretty good, restaurant was bursting at the seams which is both good and not so good and the aucoustics in the restaurant wasn’t very good. Too noisy. Otherwise a pleasant experience

I feel the food was not as good as I had expected it to be. We felt it was not explained that the fish was whole as was the chicken. We were looking forward to it and felt that it fell short of our expectations. The wine list was lacking somewhat as well. While parts of the meal were good (celeriac and the nuts were delicious) the main dish let it down. As a side note, we loved the food at the cafe.

The service was great. The prawns were very good. The chicken, pork chop and lamb meatballs were very dry, not juicy at all. Low marks in value given the price, and no ambiance whatsoever

Excellent as always - I've been coming to NOPI for over 6 years - whenever I'm in London (a few times a year). It's always my favourite restaurant - and constantly changing. I don't remember our servers name but she was excellent - she knew the entire menu backwards and forwards. Just excellent.
