Food and service was excellent. I did bring a very nice bottle of wine and the wine service was marginal. I expected more from a Wine Spectator award winner. The wait staff could use some training here.
Osteria Mattone never disappoints! Always an incredible evening of exquisite & creative cuisine! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
We had a fabulous meal and fabulous service— perfect except for a very noisy private party on the other side of the drapery partition.
Another wonderful lunch with friends. The food is always amazing . The staff is courteous.
In nice weather it has a great outdoor patio.
I always recommend Osteria Matone . This is my favorite restaurant.
Wonderful dinner at Osteria Mattone! It was to celebrate a birthday. We had a wonderful table, and our server was phenomenal. Already planning our next visit.
The agnolotti is outstanding!!
Awesome ambience! Amazing service. Very caring staff.
Excellent food and service
The food was great from top to bottom. Everything was fresh and authentic. Some of our favorites were the grilled artichoke hearts and the braised short ribs. The budino carmellato we had for dessert was amazing. Cocktails and wines were fantastic and the service was great. There is a great selection of wines by the bottle for $25 on wine Wednesdays.
What a delight! Since moving to Roswell a couple months ago we had eaten at nearly every restaurant in historic Roswell, except for Osteria Mattone. Wanting to try something new, we made our reservation at Osteria Mattone on New Year’s Eve.
I mixed up the reservation time so we arrived an hour early and I had only reserved bar seating. The hostess staff couldn’t have been more accommodating - on New Years Eve! They moved around some tables and got us seated in just a few minutes.
Every course from the yummy focaccia and cocktails to dessert were perfect. The meatballs were outstanding. The sweet potato ravioli is to die for. The pork chop is my husband’s new favorite meal. We loved it so much that we are headed back next weekend.
My only regrets are that I cannot remember our waiter’s name (he was awesome!) and that we did not eat there sooner.
My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary. The staff made us feel very special and welcomed. The food was excellent! We split a few dishes including a pasta dish and the salmon. We will be returning!
We have eaten at Osteria Mattone several times and it is definitely one of our favorite neighborhood spots. Typically service is very good with attentive wait staff that take the time to explain the menu, interact, and make you feel like you belong there, but our recent visit was not that way. Our waiter seemed rather annoyed that he had to actually do his job and wait on us, maybe he was just having an off night, but he barely had any communication with us. We had to ask if there were any specials, to which he said "not tonight", he didn't share any tips on the menu. Even the hostesses at the front barely greeted us when we arrived nor did they say goodnight as we left. The best interaction we had during the entire evening was with the valet who was extremely friendly.
Food and drinks were spot on as always, but when you dine at a particular restaurant as frequently as we do with this one, it would be nice to be recognized and greeted and taken care as if you were a special guest instead of just someone there to annoy the staff.
Been to Osteria 10+ times, but always for dinner and have always rated it a '5', one of my favorites. I came away a bit underwhelmed by their brunch. I know there are just so many ways to do eggs ,etc., but the menu seemed a bit more 'usual' than I expected. I'd always enjoyed the creativity and fusion elements they've had for dinner. I'd still recommend it highly, I prefer it to Table on Main, their sister restaurant. Still worth the trip!
Great , innovative brunch, great food very pleasant experience
Everything was delicious. The dining room was the perfect date night.
One of, if not our absolute favorite place to dine. Authentic Italian dishes, plus some wonderful creations.
Excellent experience! This was our second visit and each time was perfect. Every menu item we've tried has been awesome; the service is very attentive and a huge part of the overall experience.
We moved to ATL from Chicago two years ago, and this is the best overall dining experience we have had (and we have tried a lot of GA restaurants). We always find that the food or the service or the atmosphere is lacking, but we did not have one complaint about our evening out at Osteria Mattone. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The restaurant is charming, and clean. We left feeling spoiled, and are so happy we now have a dining place where high expectations are met. We will absolutely be back for another date night...and we just might bring the kiddos!
Love this place. Chose Osteria Mattone for date night and everything was splendid. Service, food, ambiance, etc. It was my boyfriend’s first time and he raved about the food.
This was my first visit to Osteria Mattone. We had a friend who was visiting Roswell for the holidays so we met her for dinner. I chose the restaurant because it had received good reviews in the AJC and I wanted to try it. It is very popular and we got one of the last reservations available which was 5:00 on a Saturday before Christmas. I was not disappointed. We started with cocktails and I ordered a Manhattan. It was excellent. We shared some calamari which was good but nothing special. For my entree I ordered the pasta frutti di mare (assorted seafood) and it was fabulous. All of the seafood was cooked to perfection. The homemade angel hair pasta had a bit of a different texture--more curly than most angel hair--and it held the sauce and the seafood really well. We shared the bread pudding for dessert and that was very good. I would have given the experience all 5's except my companions didn't seem as enthusiastic about their meals. My husband had the scallops which he said were good but nothing special and our friend had the pasta special which was goat cheese ravioli with duck. I like that they offer wine by the glass in different sizes; you could get a 6 oz or a 9 oz pour. Sometimes 6 oz isn't enough but a second full glass is too much. Having the 9 oz option was just the right amount. We all agreed that our server Kerry was excellent and we were certainly glad that we came. I would go again in a heartbeat.
The food was amazing. Our main server was very friendly. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy due to the holiday, and we were seated at a very small table against the wall. If I were not left handed I would have been hitting my elbow against the window while I was eating. The restaurant seemed to have many frequent customers who knew the staff well enough to hug them, so that was a nice thing to see.
Took my brother and his family for dinner and had a wonderful experience!
This was our first visit to Osteria Mattone, and we loved it. Our waitress, Abby, was knowledgable about the food and drinks, and attentive. The had the grilled artichokes, which were very flavorful and grilled perfectly. My husband had the Branzino, and I had the Sweet Potato-Apple Ravioli with Brown Butter Sage sauce. Both we delicious, and nice portion sizes. We finished with the Lemon Cake with Blackberries and Ricotta...so good and a light ending to our meal. I highly recommend Osteria Mattone for any occasion.
Enjoyable atmosphere with good food at a reasonable price. The chicken sandwich was tasty and the carbonara was the best meal at the table.
We tried this restaurant for the first time for their brunch. Each person in my party ordered something different and we all absolutely loved our food. Jonathan was our server and he was super attentive and gave us fantastic service. We will definitely be back to Osteria Mattone.
I am new to this area having moved to East Cobb from Knoxville, TN in August. I had already tried and really liked Table and Main which is owned and operated by the same people that run Osteria Mattone. The service was first class and the food excellent. Their were four of us. We all had different entrees that we enjoyed. I had the pasta with meatballs. It had a rich meaty red sauce that was excellent as were the meatballs. The portions are large and none of us had room for dessert. We will all be back.
Wonderful dinner. Wait staff was great & suggested great combinations!
Great customer service and food!
The manager was polite, kind, and professional, as was the server.
There was, however a strong cigarette odor emanating from one of the two servers in the dining room; this needs to be checked it by mgt prior to opening.
The minced beef inside the ravioli was dry and stale--obviously old and a throwaway. It's sauce was greasy, broken, and bland.
The espresso was incredibly weak.
One of our favorite places anywhere in the Atlanta area. Excellent Italian dishes and good for special occasions as well as just a night out. Staff is attentive and friendly, and Dan is knowledgeable to help with your wine selection.
Lovely restaurant. Upscale food, drink and atmosphere. Creative and tasty menu. Perfect choice for a Sunday brunch. Cozy and delicious. Efficient staff.
Excellent as always! Great food. Great Service. Great Atmosphere. My favorite in Roswell.....
Delicious food and great service. Definitely worth visiting when in the area.
It was very nice. The food was good, service was great. I would definitely go back and refer to friends.
Consistent excellence. Every meal here has been outstanding. Great find!
Food was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back. Love the grilled artichokes and pasta. The bread pudding was the best I ever had!!
One of the best Italian meals I have ever had!
Would definitely go back -a neighborhood gem!
We four lady friends celebrated a birthday at lunch. Very quiet and enjoyable experience. Excellent server and wonderful food attractively presented. We love the ambiance and natural daylight and large windows. Very special place for any occasion.
The grilled artichoke hearts with mint and cloves were an excellent appetizer!
