What Insiders Are Saying
One of LA's finest Italian restaurants, Osteria Mozza in Hollywood is still very much at the top of its game.
Consistently the best meal we have in LA. Terrific service and good value.
Wow!! Look no further for stylish, Italian dining! The service is impeccable and the food is beyond outstanding! The best italian meal we’ve EVER had. The wine list is also very impressive, and from start to finish, a night we will remember!!
Have been there many times. Food was great. Service was good. Only problem our server was not to be found. Tight up to check time--- had to walk around and ask other staff to help find her. Despite that, I tipped her well.
We went for a birthday dinner. The tables can be cozy with another group. However, the food was fantastic.
We were a bit underwhelmed on this visit to Mozza The mozzarella tasting platter with spreads was not very appealing with very hard toasted bread. the rib eye was served in a broth We’ve had a great meal the last time we visited but this time we were disappointed. A very expensive meal that wasn’t worthy of the bill.
We had a lovely evening & they were very accommodating our waitress was helpful & we split dishes so we could try more.
What is more than delicious and decadent? This Restaurant is! Thank you Nancy and every single person who works here. Everything is superb.
We had a great evening at Osteria Mozza! The staff was excellent and the bread was delicious. The orecchiette with sausage and chard was a little too salty for me, but the texture was perfect. The duck ragu had just the right amount of acidity, and the pi day pie was the best I’ve had in a while.
Osteria is our go to anytime we are in LA. Amazing food...and amazing service! Thank you!
Wonderful service all around and everything was delicious!
This is my favorite “go to” to celebrate my birthday in LA.
Just love. Enjoy.
Always fantastic food and ambient. I keep talking about it days before and days after our visit.
Mother/Daughters date. Favorite special occasion restaurant. Sara the wine gal helped us with beautiful wine. Always so delicious.
We were disappointed with our dining exeperience this time. The food was just OK. The service was OK. We were surprised when our server informed us that we hadn’t ordered enough food for the four of us. It was the perfect amount. And, we were seated at a table that was far too small. We were constantly having to move plates and glasses around to make room.
the service and the food are unmatched, definitely a must stop in los angeles
Food was amazing
Service started out good but not as good as dinner continued.
Food will bring me back for sure!
always a standout. amazing flavors. world class pasta. great wine choices. very informative and helpful sommelier
Great dinner with a fabulous server. She was helpful navigating and explaining menu items. A wonderful experience.
Wonderful, every course a standout.
I ordered the linguine with clams. Mushy and heavy is the best way to describe it. My son ordered the duck. Very unappealing dish. Half a duck on a white plate. No garnishments.
Ate at this restaurant a few years back and it was wonderful. Not so much so this time.
This is our favor restaurant, love the food, the service is excellent and great drinks.
Service not the best, we were 2min late and the host threaten to give our table away... LIKE WHAT? We are paying customers that booked in advance, I would like my table please and I come here often, brining guests, business partners, and family here so do the math.
Overall a great experience. Back dining room lacks ambiance, but the food was excellent.
Stunning. A surprisingly smart and interesting space - we were in the quiet rooms past the bustling bar area. Dark wood and bright wallpaper. The food was great Italian, with some twists. A truly scrumptious mozzarella/anchovies appetizer. A spicy (but not over the top) linguini with clams, cooked differently. A very enjoyable meal.
The pasta and chocolate tarte was amazing. Would probably pass on the trout-it wasn't my favorite.
Peteria Mozza has become my favorite restraunt!
I being there couple times and always have good food experience until last time.
Started with the bread begging, it was cold and hard, just awful, what surprise me because that is her reputation is all about.
Appetizers are amazing, the burrata, prosciutto, octopus, etc...
the main wasn’t what we expect.
The deep fried brazino was way to dry, the steak way to fatty, the sides wasn’t nothing than we expect but was acceptable.
The dessert the some, nothing what we expect but acceptable. I particularly love the rosemary cake and it was perfect. The bombolines are just acceptable as well the apple tartar...
it’s always great
Food is very good, fine qualities. Yet, no wow-factor/surprises compared to other italian restaurants. The service was initially not good at all, I have felt more welcome in all other restaurants I visited in my 2 weeks in the US. After seated, the service was OK. The sommelier was nice and dedicated!
I wish they had more of the items from the other restaurant, like the amazing pizza they serve there. The only reason I marked this a four was because I like the pizza version of Mozza better because of its menu and the creative choices. The menu at Osteria felt stiff and too formal for me. But the food was still fantastic.
Amazing. Fine Dining at it's best. Not too stuffy, great vibe, wonderful service, and delicious food.
Osteria Mozza is a fabulous restaurant - outstanding wait staff and such exceptional food. The burricotta with artichokes is a MUST-have! We were celebrating a birthday, and it is a perfect place for such an occasion!
Beautiful restaurant with a lovely vibe. Was excited to try. Food was underwhelming I found. Brussel sprouts entree was interesting and innovative but salty. Would have preferred a more traditional brussel sprouts dish. Didn't love the goat cheese raviolis. Service was good overall, however when we asked to have two bills the waitress seemed surprised. I would assume asking for two bills amongst friends would be standard. Also found it strange that they don't sell any wine by the glass. As such, wines vary between 18-30$ for roughly a third of a bottle.
I’ve been dying to try this place, I haven’t been here in about 7 years but it was pretty dissatisfying. When we got to the restaurant and opened the doors, the room was filled with horrible fried smell. I don’t know if their ventilation is broken or they just burned some stuff that night, but I had a hard time smelling that all evening long. By the time we left, my hair smelled liked grease... this place is considered fine dining, but how can that be and the managers are not paying attention to the smell in a place like that. It straight up smelled like Popeyes in there.
As for food, it’s all hype. It wasn’t exciting as I thought it would be. The pictures and descriptions are so great, but when the plates hit the table the food is very basic and and now to come to think about it overpriced for what they were serving. Very rich and heavy on almost every dish. There are definitely much better Italian places in LA.
I had the cacio e Pepe pasta and not only the pasta wasn’t handmade or fresh but there was barely any cheese in it. Like how does that make any sense, it suppose to be cheese sauce and they just forgot to put cheese in it? Bland spaghetti and pepper. I’m a big fan of this dish and I have an incredible recipe, maybe I should share it with them.
Great food love there fish it’s amazing good.
Mozzarella tasting menu a must. One of the top five restaurants in LA
amazing. hands down best meal ive ever had. We met Nancy and she made us feel so welcome.
here’s a bare bones review. overall, my bf and i had a wonderful experience. only a couple of the dishes on the pasta tasting menu were a miss for us and our food runner didn’t seem to know what dishes he was dropping when we asked. our server and the host were very nice and we liked the ambiance of the restaurant. we’re very excited to come back and try other dishes. i’ve been wanting to dine here for the longest and ultimately had a nice time.
Hostess seated us in the back room, separate from the main room and ambiance. Very annoying that they do this without prior warning or advice. Those rooms which serve as private party spaces are s terrible experience when used as regular seating. It really makes for a totally different experience.
