Presided over by always-dressed-to-impress Nancy Silverton, Osteria Mozza goes from strength to strength. From exquisite handmade pastas to grilled beef tagliata to Pastry Chef Dahlia Narvaez’s rosemary olive oil cakes. Osteria Mozza’s is a menu Angelenos can recite by heart: the greatest hits. The all-Italian wine list continues the tradition by offering bottlings from the country's finest producers with a focus on Piedmont, Friuli and Tuscany.

For parties of 8, we do require a preselected menu listed on our website under "The Mozza Classics Menu." Please alert your server of any dietary restrictions upon seating or making your reservation. Additions welcomed, no substitutions. Menu includes Family Style servings and is $100 per guest not including tax, tip or beverage upon consumption.     Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't meet its Michelin star rating! The night started with some well-made pasta and extraordinarily kind service. After working ourselves through the first and second courses, the main course was a huge disappointment. After requesting the steak to be medium, we received a fully rare steak. To be fair, the yellow tail, which was our other main dish, was quite good. We were even more disappointed as the steak came back to our table fully burned and now defiantly unenjoyable. On top of that, we experienced a very intense smell of bacon in the air, which was as we later found out the byproduct of one of the chefs making a sandwich for himself in the open kitchen. Fortunately, the staff and the management were kind and apologetic, and we received some dessert as compensation. As a frequent traveller, this was the worst high-class restaurant experience I have had so far.

    Excellent food and portion sizes were just right. Desserts were also fantastic. We had one in the group who is pretty hard to please regarding food, and another who seems impossible to please when it comes to service, and both really enjoyed our evening! Service was attentive and gave the right amount of time between refills and courses. Our server also accommodated our needs for extra time looking at the menu and for recommendations when we wanted to try everything. I would say the only things that might be improved would be room acoustics and party size accommodation. During our 1st and 2nd courses, there were a few moments the room got really loud, and of course this could have just been one of those things that nobody can control except the people who were screaming laughing. And the only reason my group was able to easily get our reservation was because there were 6 of us, but previously when I tried to book for 8 it seems they only have one table that can accommodate any more than 6. The other two that might have been in the group were unavailable and that made this work, but for another occasion it would be so great to share the experience with a larger group and not need to book so far in advance because its so competitive to get that one table. Regardless, I don’t feel this consideration should be counted against the rating. Street parking was not nearly as bad as I anticipated (maybe due to being a Sunday evening) so none of our group dealt with valet or paying for parking. The last few of the group were also probably close to 15 minutes late and I really appreciated that the hostess did not mention it, and that we were seated immediately once we all arrived. I really look forward to dining here again.

    Osteria Mozza remains the best restaurant in Los Angeles, and Elyssa the most personable and professional server. The New York Strip with Parmigiano Jus they’ve recently added was perfection. I plan to be back within the week while the Sungold Tomatoes are in season! ♥️

    Highly attentive service. Biblical wine list, but seemingly carefully curated. The hype is well-deserved, although the crunchy rise at Majordomo is still the best pasta I have had in SoCal.

    We came for our anniversary cause we’re Nancy Silverton fans and wanted to give it a try. The service was phenomenal! We were a couple minutes early for our reservation and the hostess gave us an option of sitting at the mozzarella bar or a table. We opted for the mozzarella bar. It was a neat environment watching the chefs prepare the appetizers mere feet away from where we sat. They gave us a nice card congratulating us on our anniversary and the manager came by and gave us some complimentary Prosecco. The server came by really quick and we mentioned we had not been there before and she was very happy and nice to explain the menu and a brief synopsis of some of the dishes. We wish we could remember her name cause she was amazing! She has dark curly hair and is very charismatic and friendly!! :) The server assistants are great too! They keep a close eye on your waters and refill them when they get below half. They also pay close attention to the courses, when we finished our first course they came over within 5 minutes and offered to clear the plates. I forgot to mention the cocktails are phenomenal as well! We both had cocktails off the menu toward the top of the cocktail menu the ones that featured Italian aperitifs from what I could gather. I had a bolevardier and my fiancée had a toasty tasting vodka cocktail with the name escapes us. All the food was amazing! For starters we ordered peaches/prosciutto with burrata, Nancy’s favorites trio, and our gracious server gifted us a mozzarella de buffala and condimenti plate that ended up winning us both over! They bread is from heaven here too! ;). For our entrees we ordered pastas I had the sweet corn cappellacci and my fiancé ordered the orichetti with sausage and Swiss chard. The pastas were very good as well! We really wanted coffee and dessert but were too full to consume anything else! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience Osteria Mozza team!!!

    Really underwhelming. was super excited to see / eat at Joe and Nancy's restaurant after watching master chef , but food and service were far below what I expected from a Michelin star. Tons of people (which was ironic), and killed the ambiance with so many people service went down. Having been to Michael Minas in Vegas and Alinea in Chicago among other highly rated restaurants, this was by far the most disappointing. Food was not even a wow beyond a few dishes. Go to AOC in LA or the girl and the goat if you want the full experience of service, ambiance،and amazing food. Osteria seems to be riding the MasterChef wave to popularity.

    Compared to other Michelin restaurants around the world it is very "different" but definitely tailored to the USA expectations. Being European, instead, I am used to a more intimate and exclusive location: the place was far too noisy for me. I didn’t taste the suggested mozzarella bar because I have some great mozzarella back in my country. Nevertheless, food was very good but I really didn’t get that extra “wow experience”. Portions are totally in line with the level of the restaurant. Service is excellent. Bathrooms super clean with lovely exfoliating hand soap.

    Traveled from Las Vegas to eat here for our anniversary. Dinner was fantastic as we started with a champagne toast and continued through an amazing culinary journey. The service was impeccable.

    The food and service were excellent, but the music on the sound system was played too loudly for easy conversation. My husband and I came for our anniversary dinner, but it wasn't a good ambience for the occasion because we had to speak loudly to hear each other.

    Went there for our anniversary. The hostess left a note on our table. We had a super awesome and helpful waiter who helped us have the best meal and experience. The food was just amazing: peach mozzarella app, garlic toast, fig app, gnocchi, and orecchiette. Really nice time, really nice staff, excellent food.

    The service is great. The food is mediocre. It has significantly gone down hill over time. This is the last time I will be going. Chain restaurants such as north Italia, far surpass this place now. I am no longer sure how this place holds a Michelin star.

    Everything was incredibly well executed, the burrata with sun gold tomatoes mind blowing. Pasta with sausage-perfect, ravioli-wow. Fish cooked in fig leaves flawless. One tiny change, I would skip the octopus unless you like char broil. It was tender, just a little overwhelmed with the char flavor.

    8:30 reservation. Not seated until 9:15. Many dishes on the menu not available. Advised we had ordered enough food, but the dishes were very small and we had not ordered nearly enough for 4 guys. We were never notified the kitchen was closing disallowing us from ordering more food. Waited over 30 min. for lamb chops with no food at the table (previous round of food was cleaned up over 30 min prior) and the chops came bleeding rare. Waiter didn't ask how we wanted the chops. Shortly after taking the order, I asked the waiter whether they are cooked to order--she notified me they are always done the way the chef recommends, a medium (which is how I would have ordered it). But the chops they put on our table were essentially just seared and extremely raw. We couldn't understand how that took over 30 min. to prepare. They recooked and the new temperature was fine, but flavor was a bit smoky/porky for all of our taste, if that makes sense. We were so hungry, though, we just ate it. They comped 2 vegetarian apps and a dessert for the trouble, but we honestly expected more. For a Michelin star restaurant, our experience was mediocre at best. And we missed our 10:30 p.m. plans due to the delay in getting us seated and fed. Pretty disappointed (yet we still tipped over 20% because that's just L.A.).

    Service was great. Everyone super friendly! Food was amazing! When I went the chef was not in the bar, but bar seats are best place to see the chef working. You have to order everything at once.

    The first time we went to Osteria Mozza we could not have asked for a more perfect meal. Everything was far beyond expectations. Perhaps last night was an off night, but things were a bit less than expected. At the beginning of the meal, my sister told them she had a mushroom allergy. She ordered the steak and there was no mention on the menu that it had mushrooms. She took one bite and unfortunately spent the rest of the evening in quite a bit a pain. Thankfully her allergy isn’t so bad as to cause anaphylaxis, otherwise it could have been a real problem. They took the item off the menu, but only after I asked them to remove it—that should have been a given. And there was no attempt to prepare something else for her because the kitchen had by that point closed. Having worked at a high end restaurant before, I know it doesn’t break the kitchen to dirty one pan in order to correct an error for a guest. And while they were apologetic, no manager came over to touch the table and make sure things were alright. I’m being maybe more critical than I would with other places, but that’s because it’s a one Michelin star restaurant. So maybe it was a bad night, but we may take some time before returning. The food was great, but standard of care was not up to where it had been in the past.

    My family & I were looking forward to some memorable mozzarella & pasta and Osteria Mozza didn't disappoint in that respect - the food (several mozzarella iterations and 3 pasta dishes) was quite good and also included a delightful panzanella and tasty confit dug leg. Our server was warm, professional, well informed and we felt initially that we were in very good hands. After our first course was cleared, however, we waited for quite a while for the 2nd/entree course, which did not arrive until over 90min after we were seated. There was an acknowledgment of the delay, but it felt long overdue and somewhat perfunctory, with no context or explanation for the significant lapse. In short, our experience started strong out of the gate but stumbled a bit down the stretch - given what a genius Nancy Silverton is and how good some of the offerings were, we would definitely want to return, but might not be in a rush to do so. Thanks very much for the opportunity to share some hopefully helpful feedback.

    First time in Osteria Mozza! We brought our toddler along as well. Food wise, nothing really pops out as an Italian standard fare. Dishes were all well done, but it's nothing memorable from our end. For Italian and Michelin fans, we still suggest for people to try it out.
