About this restaurant

  • Neighborhood gem
  • Charming
  • Good for special occasions
Fratelli Pagliuca's Restaurant is like a little corner of sunny Italy located in Boston's north end. It has been an oasis of old-country Italian food for decades, and is family owned and operated. The Pagliuca family originated in Motefalcione Avellino, and when they moved to the United States, they brought time-honored recipes with them. When you visit Fratelli Pagliuca's Restarurant, you will enjoy entrées like chicken campagna, which is a boneless chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms, peppers, onions and potatoes. You can also choose from steaks, chops, seafood and of course pasta.

If you would like to enjoy a drink before dinner, visit the cocktail bar. Wine, beer and cordials are also available with your meal. Fratelli Pagliuca's restaurant is warm, welcoming and offers great food.

From the minute we walked in, we were treated like we were family. Outstanding service, great food, and a comfortable setting. Highly recommended!

Really uninspired. Food wasn’t as good as what I can make at home. Feels like a tourist trap. I have been trying all the restaurants in the North End. Won’t go back to this one.

They had a number of challenges tonight. First, there didn’t seem to be any integration of the OpenTable reservations with the restaurant. They had no list, and sat walk-ins before us, and took later reservations before us too. After I stood at the stand, we got a table about 30 min after our reservation time. We were served 2 hours after our reservation time, and there was about an hour when the waitress didn’t check on us, so we couldn’t order more drinks. It took about 3 hours start to finish. I was disappointed because I have enjoyed coming here in the past - they just didn’t have it together that night.

Terrible dining experience. We’ve eaten here once before and had a pleasant meal and nice table upstairs. For this meal we got a last minute reservation and asked to add one more which was accommodated making everything feel seamless until we got to our table… we were presented to a basement table (which I normally don’t mind) but the table was a 6ft folding table from Walmart with a few wobbly chairs and a folding chair. We essentially got put at the kids table with zero elbow room and a terrible seat for 3 + hours… our server was very nice but he was stuck working the whole basement by himself causing very slow service. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks, in the most wild array of glassware and our food didn’t come out for over 2 hours. We don’t blame the server for being under staffed but the man with the clipboard figuring out how quickly a table could turn over. Rather than focusing on table turnover he should have put the clipboard down and helped his staff serve the current paying customers. The food is solid at this restaurant but man do they need to stop shoving people in the door and look around at their staff to know they’re under water and not going to give the customers a good experience and my god buy a real table!

Didn’t honor any reservation. We arrived and they said it would be 45-60 minute wait. We had a concert to get to and had to leave . They should be removed from any reservation service until they figure out how to manage themselves

Saturday night in the North End - Boston. A dinner before heading to the Celtics game. None better than this place! The place was packed and the staff was on form keeping up with the demand. Food was first-rate in this comfortable traditional family-friendly establishment - and a value for money menu.

There is no check in host station to check in or verify reservations or to check the wait times for a table. A waiter/bus boy just told us to wait in line along with all other who had reservations until tables opened up and they could seat us. That's not a reservation system, that's FCFS.
