Shawn Cirkiel’s flagship restaurant, Parkside, opened on Austin’s historic 6th Street in 2008 and first introduced the “farm-to-table” concept long before it became commonplace in town. Only $10 during happy hour! 4:30-6pm M-F I’m all about saving money when I can, and sometimes eating during happy hours can cut the price of your meal by half. Came for the burger: 44 farm bacon cheeseburger: lettuce, tomato, pickles, house bacon, and generous portion of parkside fries. I asked for pink, and it came out a little more well done. It’s okay, it was a decent burger and I prefer cheddar over American cheese any day. Located right in the middle of the safest street in Austin. Dirty 6th 📍 @parksideaustin #supportlocal

The food doesn’t get a high score because of the lack of vegan options on the menu & the kitchen won’t spin up a vegan entree - so you’re stuck w/ fried sides or a watermelon salad :/ wasn’t great (the chickpea fritters are VERY greasy; inedible). But I love the place for sentimental reasons, and if you’re consuming animal products, you’ll enjoy. Cocktails are the TRUTH! Haha. Very good pours

Good dinner and close to 6th street. Fewer people than I thought there would be, but food and service were exceptional. Super friendly, responsive and nice, everyone that works there. When the bill came, we felt like it was a very good value!
