Great chow and great service. The Thai lobster curry was outstanding.
I took my husband here to surprise him . We have never been here before. We were very happy with the food. We especially loved the crab and Mac. We ordered one for the road! We got the complimentary bread which was really good. Then as an app we got raw oysters that were very tasty. I ordered the gumbo and the Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. My husband ordered something else I can’t recall. But we both loved Everything. The gumbo was very good. The mashed potatoes was very tasty. My husband was practically licking the bowl. Highly recommended. We will be back. .
Great as always. Soft shell crab already in the menu - really meaty. Charbroiled oysters were perfectly grilled.
Still not willing to eat indoors. The patio is a good alternative. It is, of course, noisy but then you get to see all the people (a lot less than in the past) passing by. The seafood is stunningly good. The octopus appetizer is amazing.
We had a lovely meal and excellent service. Matt was our server.
Food was horrible way overpriced. Don’t mind paying for good quality . but was not impressed fish taste frozen . Been a few times and was amazing before COVID. will not go back after last time .
We had a wonderful table. service was excellent. the food was superb! And overall just a great evening.
Everything is perfect at Passion Fish. Service is great! Food is fantastic. Ambience is wonderful. No matter what the occasion it is perfect here. Business meal, happy hour, family dinner, date night. They all work perfectly at Passion Fish.
Outstanding service by a great waiter. Food was excellent and introduced my daughter to the restaurant as she had never been. She thoroughly enjoyed.
My sever was not very good he was more into the other table .
Fabulous sushi and rolls. Matt was attentive, efficient and professional.
Excellent place for grilled fish and seafood. Sides are served a la carte to complement your meal. The menu consists primarily of fish and fish dishes such as sushi, seafood bisque I highly recommend the artic char and sea bass as entrees and the sushi rolls and oyster are fresh and excellent quality.
Alan the waiter was very nice; the restaurant had plenty of covid precautions in place; food and drinks were wonderful!
They sat a group of at least six to eight folks next to our table (with some distance) but there were tons of other tables further apart that would have made more sense. Given the pandemic I think that would have been appropriate.
PassionFish is the best for seafood in the area, period. But everything else from drinks to service to salads to chef specials is also invariably superior. This is a spectacular place for a special dinner or lunch. The interior decor is also quite notable. One of the very best places in Northern Virginia.
Wonderful food, as always, as was the service, highly professional and knowledgeable.
It was a great evening catching up with friends. The weather was warm enough to be seated on the patio with ample social distancing between tables. Our server, Maria, was very personable and attentive and the food was customarily on point.
The food is delicious — particularly the crab cakes and the roasted cauliflower!
Service was slow and refills . Food was not that great as was advertised.
Great place, great food, exceptional service.
Everything was excellent! Service was impeccable, Matt had the best energy. Fresh and flavorful seafood. Unique menu items, stiff drinks and great COVID protocols. We will definitely be back.
Such a great choice for amazingly prepared seafood. When there is only...count’em...ONE beef selection on the menu...you know the water procured protein is going to be sensational! Passionfish has never disappointed.
Maria and Allen were exceptional per usual. The staff at the front were very accommodating and our meals were off the chart! Thank again for another wonderful dining experience.
Started with Chesapeake Oysters and I opted for scallops with thick bacon and a sauce that was terrific. Soul Mate did the Black Bass with a pepper red sauce on the side. Very generous portions. Claudia was spot on with suggestions and water refills. Will return often.
Awesome 👏🏻 enjoyed it tremendously 😀
We enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner with our son! We were seated in the balcony with a great view and our server was very attentive. The scallops, mahi and sea bass were all excellent! Chocolate bomb for dessert was a nice touch! our new favorite place! we'll definitely be back soon!
Wonderful dining experience by Chef Jeff, Chef Chris and the entire tram of the superb Passionfish. Greeted warmly by hosts. Taken to our socially distanced table, served by a wonderful and knowledgeable server the freshest sushi and fish to all 6 of us. We will be back, as always, and bravo to the whole team in a great dining experience! 👍🍾👌👏
Manager Damien was amazing! Staff was amazing. Food was amazing. Our group was very well taken care of. We will absolutely come back for future events! Thank you so much for making our girls night memorable!
Food and service were perfect. Should be visited regularly.
Felt very safe dining in and the service and food was great.
It is great to get back to dining out in a safe environment. I have always enjoyed this restaurant, and am thankful they survived the roughest times and upped their game. I love their creative ideas with food. The ceviche and anything with octopus are generally my go-to favorites. On this last time, we were with friends who don't eat much seafood, and they went out of their way to accommodate them.
The food and service were great ! We chose to eat outside and it was very noisy!
Terrific meal and experience!
I highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of our favorites in the area. It’s very elegant, white linen, but slightly modern. The food is amazing but very expensive. Dinner and drinks for four people costs about $300.
Great food as always - seafood always fresh! Service is typically great and ambiance is always nice.
Very good. Food was well prepared and reasonable. Server was friendly and helpful.
I took my wife and young daughter here for a date night. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic as well! It's a little slower paced so it might not be a great spot for all younger children. We really enjoyed it and had a great experience!
We had an amazing experience at New Years, with lots of personal attention from staff and managers. Certainly not expecting all that for this trip, it is a big reason for the return visit. This night lacked that same feeling. This experience was not as good. Restaurant was much more crowded, almost like a normal night pre COVID. Table location was nice, white table cloth. Tables were a little too close for comfort. I say that because we chose this restaurant specifically because of the impressive spacing at New Years. Service was very good and food was good, but not as good as New Years. Swordfish was wonderful. Lobster Curry was not on mark, desert not as good and pulled from the fridge, not fresh. Wine selection changed a bit. I would give it a B+.
First visit to PassionFish since start of pandemic. The restaurant and staff have taken steps to make patrons feel safer with all staff elevating masks, gloves and less table density. Beyond the usual there was hydroxylation air treatment machines both upstairs and downstairs; servers carrying disinfecting gels dispensers; cleaned pens for signing check etc. The only area of possible concern is at the check-in desk where it got crowded with patrons in the bar area, people waiting for their table and guests checking in.
Food was good with a more limited menu. Service was very good with attentive staff and it felt comfortable dining indoors with good spacing and high ceilings.
We shared the scallops entree. It was perfect, with delicious bacon and roasted cauliflower. The sushi rolls were good (Passion Fish roll and Tiger King), but not my favorite. The key lime pie dessert was also awesome. Dining here was a treat, and by far the nicest experience we’ve had in quite a while!
