Pearl District - Sherman Oaks
Always an amazing greeting. Brilliant servive and the best food in the valley.
Food- could have been better. Small portions, could have been better flavored, my steak was over cooked, even though I requested medium rare at least twice, ordered 4 appetizers.. Hayes the octopus which I was most excited for, best thing in the menu was the Brussels sprouts.
Cost- 5 people, 4 appetizers, 4 entrees, 5 cocktails, $400
Parking- in the back but no signage, no valet so prepare to drive around to figure it out
Ambiance- has a New York feel and look👌
Waiter- should have had better knowledge of the entree and drink menus
I absolutely loved this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly, professional, knowledgeable and funny! The food exceeded our expectations and we will definitely go back again. The chocolate bread pudding was the best I've ever had.
Food was pedestrian at best, terrible at worst. Our waitress was absolutely lovely in all respects. She should work where there is better food. Overpriced is an understatement. Never going back.
Food and service was excellent! Price is a little on the high side, but with the cost of labor, insurance and rent it was definitely fair. I will be going back.
Interesting menu choices - everyone was pleased and enjoyed dinner.
Nice wine selection - including the house wines.
Outstanding professional service -
Looking forward to the next time.
A very positive experience, the food was great, service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
Great server very comfortable seating andgood ambience
This is a very elegant restaurant with excellent service and very good food. It is definitely great for a first date which I was on, as it had the perfect ambience for intimate conversation.
Delicious food and drinks. Attentive server. Very comfortable ambiance. I’m telling all my friends about this restaurant.
Great find in Sherman Oaks! Would recommend for anyone looking for a really great dinner w/ great service.
Love the food and drinks here. Very unique and delicious
Fabulous food, ambience and server!
For a Wednesday it was very noisy at 7 pm. Food and service always exceptional
The people at Pearl District really know how to present customers with a solid fine dining experience. The room is pleasant and comfortable, the service is top notch, the flavors of the food and presentation is highly developed and executed in a way that pleases intensely. The menu has offerings for any kind of palate.
The best meal we’ve ever had. The chef, Kyle , made recommendations that we never would have picked. Best decision ever. The food was amazing!!!
The service was really impeccable for my wife and I on a rare date night. The server was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful in crafting our meal. The food was absolutely delicious, even though it was pricier - the braised beef is incredible along with the Ahi Tuna appetizer. The ambiance was upscale but not too much so. I would definitely go back for a date night or simply a happy hour.
We've been to the Pearl District 2 other times and it continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Sherman Oaks. We've had the grill Spanish octopus, the duck confit pancakes, and the braised beef (over pasta). They are excellent -- and the wait staff knows what they're doing. Highly recommend the restaurant.
A new find. Great food good service. Great location and free parking in the back. Will definitely go back.
Matt provided great service. The food was delish and the ambiance was great!
The chef here (Richie) really knows what he is doing. Everything we tasted was seasoned to perfection and was extremely flavorful. The Lobster Tempura, Avocado salad, Branzino and Salmon were excellent. Good wine list (Mostly American/California offerings). The service from our waiter A.J. was terrific. Very attentive, helpful and friendly. Desserts were great too! Try the Peanut Butter/Snickers bar. Only negative to our experience was the noise factor. Levels were quite high, even though the restaurant was half empty. We went early on a Friday to try and avoid a crowd and noise, but there was a party going on in the front room with a bunch of loud and rowdy (drunk?) women celebrating a birthday. I can only imagine what the noise level would be when the restaurant would be fully crowded on a busy night. I guess many people in LA don't mind dining in a loud restaurant when the food is so good.
We had the lobster tempura (A+), duck confit pancakes (B+), beet salad (A) and branzino (A). Service was prompt and polite, wine service was excellent and of good value. We will return!
The food is always delicious. We shared a beet salad. Then we had the Branzino and the fried chicken. Fabulous!
Love this place for special occasions and just a great dinner out. Has real California vibe, especially with windows open and indoor/outdoor merging. Menu, food, service setting...excellent in every way.
Excellent meal, felt rushed by the waiter.
Interesting, delicious food. Terrific service. Marvelous pork chop yum.
The waiters were cute and polite. The food was tasty but would maybe request the sauce for the filet mignon to be on the side. The meat was delicious and cooked to perfection so the sauce felt a little overpowering. The lemon panna cotta was dreamy. Appetizers of the day were delicious.
I would definitely give this semi new restaurant a go!
The food was good but the drinks were watered down. That's quite tacky.
Worst service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Don’t plan on ever going back. Food was delicious but the terrible service ruined it. Ridiculously overpriced for the service we got and we are definitely low maintenance customers. Shameful
Food was fabulous... we are foodies and loved all of our dishes! Service was great! Really great vibe!
Overall this was a wonderful dining experience. The service was smooth and efficient. For the food, I think mostly very good. I would next time ask for some of the appetizers wiue ordered to leave the sauces on the side. Sometimes two or three sauces seem to compete for the flavor of the actual heart of the appetizer.
That being said, the place deserves a second visit to be sure.
excellent staff, food and service
duck pancake, avacado salad is great, wanderbar for dessert
The food and beverages were yummy! Wes was an outstanding server. Thanks for making our combined celebrations memorable!
It is obvious the owner Peyman takes pride in his establishments and works hard to create a culture where a pleasurable and memorable dining experience is at the forefront of everything they do at Pearl District.
Chef Richie never disappoints with his creative dishes that satisfy the pallet, yet leave it wanting more! Equally amazing is the staff. Cheerful hosts, attentive bartenders and professional wait staff that know the menu, understand timing of when to bring your dishes and clear your plates, and always helpful with wine selections.
I look forward to my next dining experience at Pearl District.
First of all it's a beautifully designed and extremely comfortable restaurant. Our server Brittany was excellent!! Cheerful and professional with a great sense of humor. Drinks were awesome as well as the food. We shared the Brussel sprout appetizer and then I had the Crispy skin Branzino for my entree. All expertly paced by our server and delicious! I will be back very soon as I have recommended the place to a friend for her birthday dinner. Thank you Pearl District for a perfect evening!
This is such a gem in the valley. My husband and I try to do date night at this place at least once a week. I cannot recommend this place enough. From their service to their cocktails to their cuisine, everything goes above and beyond to make your evening magical.
It can be very difficult trying out a new restaurant. Habit takes us to places where we always feel welcome. The experience starts as soon as you walk in the door and greeted by the host.
Our experience at Pearl District was positive from the start, and just got better. Ryan, our waiter/tour guide was quite attentive, Sharing his thoughts on the menu, and finding out our thoughts after the first bite!
All and all a pleasant dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back.
Loved loved loved Pearl District. Best new restaurant I’ve been to in awhile. The wild mushrooms, sweet and salty shrimp, and beet salad were particular stand outs.
Huge portions of delicious food in a beautiful setting
