Food was good. Service great. Was able to also order from Lucky Chengs (restaurant next door).
Hi JoyC, thanks for getting in touch. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your dining experience at Peking Sq. and we look forward to welcoming you into the club again soon.
The food was fresh and tasty. Generous servings of food. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Hi Vesna, we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your meal at Peking Sq. and appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. We do hope to see you again soon at the club.
Was not impressed at all as I booked this restaurant for my daughters 18th birthday as she wanted Yum Cha, nowhere does it say they don't do this anymore. I turned up with my 14 guests to be told we don't do Yum Cha anymore so was very disappointed as we could have gone somewhere else had we known. Instead we stayed as we were all there and had travelled a long distance to get there, we had food off the menu and it was all delicious, our table was a little squishy and the lighting was poor in the corner where we were seated.
Great service and food! Large servings too! The staff are very attentive! Great place to bring big groups.
Not enough staff on. Staff who were there very helpful but often hard to get their attention. Run off their feet. Need more trolleys for yum cha. Besides this good. Food always excellent
We have been quite a few times but this is the first time we have been disappointed. Forgotten meals, run out of steamed dim sims, chasing for service. We spoke to the Manager and told him about our experience. He said they are changing catering companies. I would have thought they had designed chefs - it's hardly cheap.
Requested for a round table for 7 people for dinner and the waitress told us ‘the round table is too far away to serve you’. So Absurd !!
In the end, they gav us the round table after waitress consulted with another waiter.
In Chinese restaurant, I expected the Chinese style of serving ie with peanuts or cracker and soup. But there’s none of these. Reason being it’s in a Western culture n domain. So absurd !
Waiter n waitress gathered together and chatting away instead of looking after customer. Hav to ask for tea refill !!
Overall expensive place but very poor service and attitude.
Ambience is lovely. Customer service impeccable. I found it quite pricy for the portion size.
We had the Jade banquet for 10 people.
The fish was delicious. The Peking Sq Conpoy fried rice was tasteless. it was just a dish of white rice, with a bit of corn and what looked like bacon in it?? Where was the soy sauce? where was the flavour?
Each time a dish arrived to our table, there was lack of communication by the waiter where he wouldn't even tell us what the dish was. we had to take a guess ourselves. We were also not provided serving spoons to serve out the food amongst our friends. We had to keep asking our waiter for more napkins and more spoons.
Finally, as the 'dessert' we were given a plate containing 'biscuits'?
Where was the 'premium Dessert of the Day?
The decor in your restaurant is lovely, but all of the diners at our table were underwhelmed with most of the dishes. The food did arrive to our table promptly, so we were glad about that. i think your crew just get too busy and cant keep up with the demand in peak times.
Not for service however for a different location possibly.
Very expensive and the waiters got the order incorrect.
The table was not ready when we arrived.
Only beef dish was very good. Other 3 dishes were below par. Service was slow with a long wait even for water. One guest developed "sickness" 6.30 minutes after dining
staffs are nice and accommodating, food are great!
The food was quite good but a little disappointing. Nothing really bad but nothing fantastic either.
Dined here in the past with no problems at all. Food wasn't up to the usual standard, we waited for two dishes, as Chef didn't receive full order. Honey chicken was all fat, absolutely no chicken at all, only fat and batter.Duck in mushroom sauce was not like what we had in the past. Prawn cutlets were very oily as was the fried rice. Seafood Lovers Plate was very pale and anaemic looking. Didn't get eaten.Dessert was offered to us "On the House"..didn't get to choose, just given Mango Pancakes, which were icy cold and couldn't be eaten. Complained to our Waiter, who by the way was very nice and friendly and very apologetic ., but after paying $260 he said he should've given us a discount! That was not very Professional.
This was our third visit to Peking Square and on this occasion we came away somewhat disappointed.
* Prawn dumplings were very small and lacked flavour.
* The pork belly stew in clay pot on this visit was WAY too fatty and not very tasty. During previous visits this dish was delicious.
* We ordered dim sims which did not arrive at our table. Eventually we made another request for them. However at the end of our lunch we were charged for two servings of dim sims. (Staff quickly corrected this mistake when it was brought to their notice).
* While staff are friendly and seem to be trying, table service is disorganised. (This was also the case during our second visit).
We enjoyed our previous two visits, however, our last visit was a bit disappointing. The food lacked any real flavour and presentation very bland. The sizzling prawn dish wasn't sizzling and when we complained they just heated it back up and tipped hot water onto the plate which just evaporated in seconds. The duck dish arrived without any duck and again was very bland.
Overall, a very flat experience.
Peking Sq is by far the best Chinese restaurant my wife and I have been to , we go quite frequently and it exceeds the quality of any other venues we've experienced even in Haymarket.
Great overall, foods and service. In the menu a banquet for 4 people, we asked the waiter if possible to order the banquet for 2 people and jokingly we said to the waiter it's Valentines Day. The waiter said I'll ask the cook and he came back no worries. The serving more than adequate we can't finish the delicious foods so we asked for take away container again no problems. We can certainly recommend to friends and other people who likes Chinese foods. I rated 5 stars. Peking SQ is in Bankstown Sports, Bankstown NSW.
Djigs and Nancy
Great food with good size servings, attentive staff but not overbearing
The quality of food was good, however despite requesting a break between entree and main course, our main course arrived before we had even finished our entrees. It is rather noisy in the restaurant and was not really suitable for a romantic dinner. The food was good but it came with expensive for Chinese food.
Food was very tasty and generous portions.
Staff were very attentive and accommodating ….Lovely set up... décor and ambience.
A bit noisy as they were very busy ….but very happy with the service, our meals were served relatively quickly considering they were so busy.
Overall a very enjoyable evening .
HIghly recomend this Restaurant .
Thank you .
we were happy overall. bit disappointment with the food. we ordered kom pouh chicken but didnt think we got that. i did question it but the waiter , didnt think he knew.
same with spicy fried eggplant, not to great. we have had these dished previously and loved it.
it was close to closing time so maybe it was rushed so thats disappointing.
Very taste food, great customer service, loved the beautiful interior design of the restaurant and easy disabled access.
We got together for a meet up and my Birthday. We had Yum Cha and I can say that the service and the selection was excellent and all of us enjoyed it. one of our group had Peking duck and that was excellent as well.
All in all I would recommend the restaurant to any body especially if there is going to be a group greater than 10 people.
Regards and Thanks

Fall in love with the restaurant after our friend brought us there the first time. Have been there many times afterwards. This time we treated our good friends here for dinner and they love it look like we did the first time. I am pretty sure they will revisit again and again like we do. I especially love the design of the whole restaurant.
Great food with prompt and friendly service. The hustle and bustle is like you are sitting in a restaurant in Honk Kong. Great flavors.
The worst service I have possible ever experienced. Absolutely hopeless- whether is was to get a drink or order. They (staff) didn't know what a Caronna was... ran out of food ON A FRIDAY NIGHT??? Messed our order up. And took FOREVER to get our dinner. No one running the floor... THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND.
The food was good except for the Mongolian lamb. Loved the decor of the restaurant.
good quantity and quality of food but expensive for a club location
We have been here a few times but the food has improved (if that's possible). Would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be back for sure.
8 of us enjoyed a delightful meal. No complaints. We had a selection of our own choice.
We have been to Peking Sq a few time and find that the quality of the food and service etc never varies. That is, it is always (in my opinion) great.
They didnt have enough ingredients to prepare the pekking duck degustation 8 when I got there. If you plan to eat it you should notify then when booking. Its a nice restaurant overall.
Fantastic service and great Yum Cha options. We will be back.
Hv bn here twice, the first time was outstanding in every way but this time there seemed to be a good shortage..yum cha with only a few trolleys..very disappointing but will be bck to give it another try.
Terrible service and average food. Waited an hour to get our food, other people arrived after us and got their food before us. They even forgot our drink order. Never again.
Visited here for an early birthday/pre dinner show first time and my husband and I both enjoyed everything our entrees dumplings and satay chicken and mains vegetables fried rice pork ribs and wasabi beef.
Staff were very pleasant and ambience very romantic, as this is also family friend and great for large groups. I definitely would come back again.
Great meal and great service, maybe just a bit more spice in the food, but overall very good
Very authentic food. Have eaten here several times and definitely would recommend. The most recent group of friends who joined me here, were very impressed that the next catch up will be return visit.
