I don't eat shrimp and had my mind set on fish and grits. The staff made it happen for me. It was so delicious.

My experience was everything! I love love love this place! It was perfect for my 35th birthday. It was so good I tried to book brunch for the following day but they was booked! The live band was on point like a beam and a scope! Our server waitress had stellar customer service! I will def be back when I’m in town. I travelled from Dallas for my birthday!

If you make a reservation for Sunday brunch, be prepared to wait a while for your food! We were waited on by a lovely, kind and patient waitress. However, we waited an hour for our food. The good news is that we were able to sip mimosas until the food arrived. The music is very loud in the lounge, too, so you'll be yelling to your friends and family the entire time. The manager was very accommodating and requested the DJ to turn the volume down a notch. The playlist was EVERYTHING, so the entertainment receives 5 stars! I would love them to hire more college students to help them on Sunday!

We usually come for brunch but decided to try dinner and attend karaoke night. There must be a completely different cook for dinner because it was a absolute miss!!!! The greens were so nasty and they barely filled the bowl up. Brunch is on point but dinner was not. We had $110 tab on food we didn’t like. I would probably just come for brunch only. The karaoke night was fun and enjoyable , a little too crowded for my liking though. I kept my mask on the entire time (except for when we ate)

My fav brunch spot

I been here before and always make a reservation. Usually making a reservation you wouldn’t have to wait but this time i came for a birthday and we had to wait an hour. Didn’t see the point of having a reservation if the wait time was going to be the same.

The meal I had was good. I’ve had better elsewhere but it was good. My companion’s meal was better with the choice of dish. So, overall it was a satisfying meal. I like the varied seating areas for continued precautions. The wait staff was quite prompt and efficient. The majority of your party has to be present before seating. The bathroom was very clean. Parking is always of concern; so, get there early to find parking.

Excellent food and vibe

We went on a Sunday evening (7:30). It was a good size crowd. but we were able to get in and be seated right away. The hostess was very professional, our waiter (Andre) was very good at making sure our glasses were full, he made us laugh, and we felt welcomed all the way around. Very good food, prices were good. It was a nice experience!

Terrible service, we all received our food at different times. Server questioned who sat us in the table we sat in (which was the hostess), over an hour wait for food, had to wait about half an hour to get the bill and to go boxes. Food was pretty good but probably the worst service I have ever encountered

I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, BUT my server was not very attentive. It took longer than needed to get items that we requested i.e.: water, ketchup, syrup, etc. I didn’t really understand that part because he also was just standing around most of the time we saw him..other than that, I loved the food, the music, and the vibe altogether

Our reservation was for 2pm , we arrived 15 minutes early.I was notified that it could still be a 2 hour wait even with a reservation.Luckily we were called to sit at around 2:15. Our table wanted to try the fried lobster and waffles. After placing the order the waitress informs us that the cook said he only orders 16 lobster per day. So that means only 8 people can have that item because the plate comes with 2 lobsters . I was disappointed. So I ordered the fried catfish with eggs and grits. The catfish was delicious. My eggs weren’t fried hard like I asked.Probably won’t be going back .

This place is loud and full of life for Sunday brunch. It’s chaotic to get seated even with a reservation. Very much a place for the young at heart. The food was absolutely delicious and came out nice and hot. I would go again but not on a Sunday.

Did have one issue with our meal, contact Mrs. Kesha she was amazing in making it up to us! Love this spot my fav in Houston!!

I was seated, waitress immediately brought water, however she didn’t come back to take my drink or food order until 20 minutes later. She had another table next to mine and visited theirs multiple times prior to checking on my table

It was a Good time

Great food but the service was lacking. We waited over half an hour before our order was taken and that is after we complained several times. However, the server was great.

Graduation brunch

I feel like they weren't consistent. I ordered the same drink as my friend and it looked nothing like theirs so I sent it back and mine was still in a different glass and with out fruit, not to mention it tasted nothing like theirs. My friend had the voodoo egg rolls and they were really good so I decided to order some also, big mistake, mine were hard and taste like they were missing something. Finally, I had the seafood pasta and it was really good until I found a piece of silver scrub pad in it. They did their best to accommodate the issues by bringing me a replacement pasta that didn't taste like my first one and gave me the nasty egg rolls for free along with a bread pudding that was not good. I think our waitress had too many tables because her service was not good at all. It was nice when the live band started playing but the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the person singing. Overall I think they have a great idea of what they want but it needs to be executed in a better manor. I will not be returning to this establishment. The hookah was the best part of my experience.

Had a great time. The band was amazing! The food was delicious! I’d like to see a bigger wine menu. We enjoyed ourselves so much we will definitely go back again.

Everything was excellent -

We love Phil and Dereks everything was wonderful except the bar manager was very rude. Tried to come to him about a problem that had occurred my friend fell down due to hole on deck. The bar manager was very dismissive and refuse to assist. We did not request a comp on our meal we are not trying to sue. But despite us being upfront honest customers who do want to bring our local businesses down, we were still treated as if we were pre judged before he ever got an understanding of situation.

Had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday! The DJ is amazing, drinks and service were great and food was good. I'd definitely go back!

Usually love this place and food is always amazing but this last dinning experience was not satisfactory. My food came out ice cold, the mimosas were HOT. Very disappointed

There’s no need. You’ll still wait 20 min for a table and it won’t go towards you tab.

Food was excellent. Wait time was really bad, even with a reservation we waited 40mins to be seated after putting a credit card on file to reserve.

The waitress was rude. The food was cold and served with no condiments. We have several different tickets brought to us that weren’t ours. 3 people did not eat their food due to it either being too salty or cold. No one was on the same accord with what menu was being served as far as brunch or full menu when the manager so called tried to rectify the issue. My deposit couldn’t be located, we spent over a hour and a half waiting for the corrected check to be brought. This was a horrible experience and very disappointing seeing how it was my boyfriend’s birthday. I will not return.

Service was a bit slow and servers were confused who was covering our table. But they were nice and courteous. Food was good and I'm full.

The musician and love band was spectacular (Benji is an amazing singer and is very hilarious) Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The chef greeted us and was kind and funny. I recommend a romantic dinner, birthday dinner or just a night out with great food and entertainment.

They didn’t have any seafood or food period. We had to order off the 9 for $9. Food was very salty. Chef is too heavy on the salt... we tried to give them a chance after noticing a few couples were leaving, after asking the manager if it was true that people were leaving because they had no food to serve the owner said no that wasn’t true and to stay... After being seated we found out there was no seafood except catfish..this place was disappointing and this was my birthday dinner...🥺😡👎🏾🤦🏽‍♀️

I would definitely recommend friends to try Phil and Derek's however, I would tell them to make sure they find out their seating before arriving.

Food was great. Service could be stepped up. Overall had a good time.
