Everything is wonderful with the possible exception of the noise level. Cozuld happily do without thumping base.
We love Pier Six! The food and beverages never disappoint! The atmosphere is always relaxing and happy!
The crab cakes were the best I have ever eaten and I used to live near the Chesapeake Bay. Basically lump crab and minimal filler to bind the crab cakes. They were moist on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. Ordered a side of Cole slaw and that was a great lunch for someone with a small appetite. I also love the lobster roll and Oysters Rockefeller's. With someone with a big appetite, the Tide and Fried is well worth the price especially the quantity and quality of the seafood.
Great place and a beautiful view of the bay. Service is great the people are even better. Great place to take the wife or other....
Outstanding restaurant.. great food and service.. and the view..
Out of town guests really enjoyed it. Thanks to Open Table for security our reservation! And thanks to Pier 6 for turning down the music so conversation is possible!
Seated right away with our reservation. Food was good. Service hasn’t improved over the last few times we visited.
Slow service. Crab claw appetizer, crab cake entrée, crab mac & cheese were all good. Fried oysters on tacos were overdone. Very loud on inside patio. Will give it another try.
Great food, great service, It is loud which is to be expected, and higher priced, but it is in line with similar locations and seafood quality
This place was awesome. Food was great and the view was really nice. Waitstaff was helpful and polite
Very solid food, great service, and it's so cool being near the water. It's a little loud inside but overall a great experience.
Good was great! Service a little slow but that may have been due to how busy it was. Ran out of tea a few times and at the end was told the restaurant ran out.
Will go back again for sure
Good food and service. Nice atmosphere. We had the fried oyster tacos, roasted brussel sprouts, spicy grilled oysters and stuffed crab claws. All very, very tasty.
Everything was outstanding.
Drink- Old Fashion ON POINT
Food- Amazing, Redfish, Tomato Salad, Jalapeño Stuffed Crab Claws...
We were shocked. We Loved it. The ONLY thing, literally ONLY thing!! They closed at 10PM.
The atmosphere is amazing! Our waitress was super cool, down to earth, and knowledgeable. The food presentation was nice, and the food was good, but not great. My wife ordered the crusted snapper. Also, the waitress made my wife a “mocktail” because she’s pregnant. That was cool!
Great food, raucous atmosphere and people watching. Lexie was a great server and the food (and wine list) were great, especially the oyster selections.
Little bit of a drive but worth it.
Poor service for overpriced mediocre food. Completely incompetent team of people.
The food was over cooked. Definitely not worth the price. The oysters were chewy. The shrimp were over cooked. The rice was dry and chunky. My husbands chicken was ver dry. The Brussel
Sprouts were over cooked. Second time we have been disappointed. Will not be back.
TERRIBLE. As we arrived, it took forever to get our drinks which were all supposed to be frozen but we’re not when they got to us. We could tell the restaurant was getting hotter temp wise and very smoky my eyes were burning — then realized it was 81 degrees in the main dining area, which is very uncomfortable to eat in. We explained to manager and waitress how miserable it was and nothing was done. Definitely not worth the $300 tab. None of us enjoyed our meal. Will not be back.
One of the best seafood restaurants on the Gulf Coast.
Horrible worst place ever!!!
This place will never be great tries to be a fancy place, but needs a lot to meet the high expectations in all aspects.
Food is great, but the portions on some items is small.
We have gone to Pier 6 multiple times and the food has always been great. This time our waitress by the name of Polina S. was fantastic. She was a delight to talk with and had great suggestions on what to drink and eat.
We went for my father-in-laws birthday. I think the only complaint was how noisy the enclosed patio was. The food and service was delicious. It is a little pricey for the portion sizes, but that’s fine dining for ya.
Our server Sasha was horrible. We saw her a total of maybe 4 times in the 2.5 hours we were there. Our food was cold, wine tasted old and server was no where to be found. This was our 2nd time there and this experience was just awful!
Very nice with a great view. Our dinner and drinks were excellent. The young lady serving us is still learning but she was attentive and very polite.
Had the lightly fried snapper and it was so dry I could not eat it. Since I was with a large group I did not want to make a scene but I won't be going back any time soon. If I pay almost $30 for a piece of fish, I expect it to be done right.
I had high hopes but the service needs a lot of work. Many of the servers were just standing around talking or looking at their phones. We waited 10 min after being seated before getting up to ask someone if we could get drinks. Ryan was helpful but his bartender couldn't stop flirting with the servers long enough to grab 2 beers before I had to get up and ask for them. Paris did finally get to us and she did a nice job of serving us. I saw one of the servers running her hands through her hair while standing around before she took plates to her table. Gross. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return.
We’ve had friends and family rave about Pier 6, our experience was nothing to rave about. Our reservation was for 6:30, we were seated at 6:50pm. The snapper crudo was good. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The Tide to Fried was good once the order was corrected by the MANAGER because our server( Abby G.) didn’t return to our table once the runner brought our food. The tide to fried comes with fried fish, oysters, and shrimp. I told Abby I wanted everything on it. The plate arrives with No Oysters!! We asked one of the runners to send our server over so we could get this fixed. When we told him the issue because he asked, he said he’d send the manager. The manager was very nice and very apologetic for the over site. He got the order corrected within minutes. So KUDOS to him (he didn’t give his name) and shame on the server because she was awful!! She checked on us all maybe 5 times throughout the entire time we were there. Drink brought drinks; brought appetizers; brought check; took payment; and returned the paid tab. That’s it. Overall, the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!! THE MANAGER THAT TENDED TO IS WAS AWESOME!! Abby G, was not a highlight and we won’t be back.
Hello Dawn, I do apologize about the service you received. I am glad that you had a great experience with the taste of the food, the atmosphere, and the manager. Do you think you would be back if you had an experience with a different server? We would love to hear from you. If you could please email your contact information to info@pier6seafood, we would like to talk to you more about it.
It was very good, We had appetizers that were amazing, dinner was wonderful and the Keylime pie was yummy. The sunsets there are beautiful, we chose to sit outside even though it was hot. Nice Ambience right on the water, we will definitely return
This is NOT FRESH seafood, the fried shrimp was previously frozen, the red snapper had a dark grey inedible area all across one side. This was not quality seafood. Service was slow. We waited 15 minutes after we were seated before a server greeted us and we were seated at 4:15 when they were not busy. At least 10 servers were standing around with nothing to do. Don’t waste your time trying this pitiful restaurant!
Hello George, I do apologize for your experience. We appreciate your feedback as we constantly look to grow. I can say that all of our seafood is fresh delivered daily from a local seafood company. The grey side on the snapper is explainable. Did you ask to speak with a manager while you were here? If not, you may email your contact information to info@pier6seafood. and we can assist in regards to your experience. Thank you.
The view of Galveston Bay is beautiful, the service is friendly, attentive and helpful (kudos to server Ashley), and the food is outstanding. We had excellent dishes of red fish, pan-seared grouper & a side of brussel sprouts. It gets busy so consider making a reservation and the noise level increases as the people do. The wine by the glass wasn’t very cool — unfortunately the bartender cooled it by swirling ice in it then removing the ice, which rendered the wine a bit watery.
Reserved a table for 5 p.m. and it was ready for us when we arrived. Abby was our server and she was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the happy hour raw oysters which is a great value. Definitely will be going back for more!
I'm guessing short staffed, took about 15min to get menue, another 15 to get my drink..food came out about the same time.
Not a super big fan of oysters but fried and grilled were amazing
Our server, Emma, was great! She was patient and attentive with our group of ladies.
The food was spot on, as usual.
We sat outside on a hot day in July and it was breezy and pleasant with the large fans above!
Great restaurant. Great service. Great food. Limited menu, Over all good value.
The menu sounded great but the meal did not deliver. I expected a bold and flavorful meal and was let down.
