First time here, wanting to try lunch first!
Took forever to be noticed by our waitress, took our drink orders and we decided to quickly order some appetizers.
Oysters were excellent, cold and very fresh 👍
We tried the seafood food dip too, portion was very small for the price and the fish could of been chopped up a little more.
Our entrees arrived and a little surprised by the size of the portions again. I ordered the Lobster roll and the bread was warm and fresh but the sandwich was lacking in sauce, very dry, lobster was ok for the $$ should of had another dozen oysters instead.
My wife ordered the Crab cakes, nothing to jump and shout about, have had better, she ordered a side salad and only had one choice of dressing to choose from?
Have reservations for dinner next Sat night and the meal will definitely determine if this place is a spot to frequent.
Will return to hang out at the outside patio bar for sure once the weather warms up!!
Big fan of this place. However, this time service, specifically drink service was way off. Drinks came after I had finished a dozen oysters and my wife finished her appetizer. Also, they ran out of two different drinks early in the evening. When you have a $100+ meal, this stuff should be better.
The food and cocktails were fantastic. The only complaint we had was the crappy table we were sat at, right next two a door with a lot of traffic going through. The restaurant was pretty loud, but it’s expected.
Great food and fun drinks, lovely atmosphere, wonderful service.
Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow and things that were ordered were “oh sorry, forgot”. But over all good experience. Will definitely dine there again.
Fabulous oysters! All of the fried food was fantastic too. Great wines, beers, and cocktails. Worth the drive for sure
Once again Pier 6 did not disappoint. Loved the service and the drinks. We went for lunch for the first time and the lobster roll was delish. The only two down sides were the chips served with the lobster roll got very soggy and they tasted stale and the seafood fondue was a little watery and didn't have enough seafood in it.
Our server was great and the food was great! We will be back!
Food was tasty, had a great date night with the wife.
The service was wonderful and the presentation of the food was amazing. There was a bit too much salt on the redfish and the brussel sprouts, but it was still a really nice evening. The old fashioned was really good too. I look forward to going back in the future.
Great food and service. Our server Heather was super nice.
Love this venue!
Has become my favorite restaurant,
Crab cakes were wonderful, oysters are always a treat, flat iron steak was good, Tide to fried platter is great to share
Highly recommend
Although the place was packed, the wait staff and everyone that we interfaced with were courteous and attentive. If there is or was any issue it had to be that the bar staff was full and busy and getting a cocktail while waiting prior to being seated just wasn't and didn't happen.
The food was of very good quality and reasonably priced. The bar drinks were also yummy and reasonably priced for a top notch dining experience. Using OpenTable to make the reservation was easy and we were seated promptly upon our reserved time.
Really good food. Bar Service was extremely SLOW
Great outdoor area and bay views. Terrific food. Friendly staff. A bit pricey.
Everything was delicious! We had the mixed oysters, heirloom tomato salad, ribeye, tuna, Mac n cheese, and mushrooms. I think my favorite was the mushrooms. I live the variety. We will definitely be back
Good food and good service
Great atmosphere with beautiful view and delicious food.
Great food hole in the
Fantastic food and service! We’ll definitely be back!
1. Really out of the way, and definitely seems out of place once you get there.
2. Because of the design, one of the louder restaurants I've been to.
3. The music was bad and loud. (Mostly house music.)
4. The oysters -- grilled or raw -- are freaking awesome.
5. Other dishes -- fish dip, grilled tuna, crab cake, spicy shrimp -- were nothing amazing, but didn't feel like I'd get sick from them at least.
6. Service was really nice and really in the weeds, and the bar was backed up.
7. About the bar -- that was a super spreader scene, for sure.
If it were 5 miles away, would definitely go again just for the oysters (and sit outside), but it's just too far for just ok.
Wonderful food, way too loud. Could not here the other people at our table.
Definitely worth the 50 min. drive for us. Great service, quality food/drinks, beautiful afternoon views. Reservations highly recommended. Definitely going back!
Margarita was too sweet to enjoy the red pepper infusion,
Amazing!!!!!
Wonderful experience!
We loved Everything about this place. A little hard to get to but worth it.
Have eaten here twice in 2 weeks time. Oysters are the best I’ve ever had. Excellent service. Cool atmosphere, beautiful views.
We've been pretty cautious with covid and not eating inside restaurants, but decided to venture out for my birthday on a Wednesday night at 5:30 reservation. Food was good, but we felt rushed to accommodate a group of 25 next to us (which is also concerning). We were brought our ticket twice when we weren't ready.. O I watched as people walked in and to their tables with no masks. We were offered a complimentary drink to move to the bar to accommodate the group of 25. We didn't wait too long at the bar, but it wasn't wiped down after the people before us left. Overall, food was great, but I likely won't return until covid settles down.
This was my first visit. There seems to be an axiom with restaurants that the quality of the food is inversely proportional to the quality of the location. That is NOT true here. The location is directly on Galveston Bay and the floor to ceiling windows must be at least 20 feet high. We watched a spectacular front come across the bay with huge flashes of lightning - in perfect comfort.
The food was fresh and well prepared. The only reason they got 4 instead of 5 stars is because I expected more imagination from the menu because of the credentials of the chef/owners. The items were pretty typical of gulf coast menus in general, but as I said well prepared.
The service was friendly and professional. Given the food quality and the location I thought the bill was pretty reasonable.
For those concerned about covid they have well spaced, well ventilated seating. We opted not to sit outside because of the approaching weather, but were seated just inside an open window that was floor to ceiling and 20' wide.
It was quite a surprise finding a class operation in the fishing village of San Leon! Kudos to the owners for having the courage to open a new eatery during the pandemic.
Never disappoints.
Great outdoor seating and view of the water on a sunny day. Food is delicious.
Salad with shrimp was 7 inverted leaves of lettuce that made a dome and 10 or so dime- sized overcooked shrimp. Awful but cheerful service.
The menu selection, taste of food and value was great. I did, however, expect to have an oyster in my oyster bisque. The temperature of our food was not optimal but that could easily be resolved if training of service staff is stepped up just a notch. (Let me add that our server was kind and pleasant).
Great experience! We were there during a busy period so service was a little slow. No complaints. Will definitely return
Great view and very good food. We enjoyed the afternoon dining and then moving to the terrace area to finish our wine looking over the bay. We spoke with several staff members and all were very friendly.
So nice to feel energy in a restaurant again. Stunning view, friendly atmosphere, and will go back.
Food and ambience were great! Only negative I would say was having to wait for our table for 30 minutes after having a reservation.
