Seattle Restaurant experience - 1st time to visit and enjoy Peruvian inspired cuisine. Lovely, comfortable dining room and pretty bar area make for a warm welcome. Cocktail menu was long and creative, focusing on Pisco, a popular liquor from Peru - both the Manhattan and the Margarita with Pisco were delicious. 3-course menu had interesting options and we both chose different things. The beet/potato and ceviche appetizer was bright, flavorful and a little spicy - a delicious combo of flavors and textures. My friend had the golden potato and creamy spiced sauce appetizer and she enjoyed it. Entree choices were the Chicharron for me and the beef for my friend. My pork was tender and the sauce very well spiced - the slivers of raw red onion seemed strange at first but mixed with the sauce and rice were the perfect bite and a great counterpart to the richness of the pork. The beef dish was visually beautiful - colorful tomatoes and peppers in a sauce with the beef chunks, served with rice and really well executed fried potatoes (double starch is common in this cuisine, apparently). Dessert was the perfect size - they traded out a tiramisu for the rice pudding and it was delicious - creamy, not too sweet and just the right amount - the cookie w/dulce de leche was the other option and my friend said they were really good. Great service. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable meal, great atmosphere, felt like a good neighborhood bistro type place where you can bring your kids or go out on a nice date or meet up with friends. Something for everybody. Ceviche tasted very fresh & lemony, everything else was good as well and we enjoyed the leftovers the next day.

We came for Valentine’s and overall it was a mixed experience. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem fully prepared for the Valentine’s rush, which impacted the timing and food quality. The tiramisu was disappointing and lacked freshness, and the cod fish arrived cold. The passion fruit salad was okay nothing special, but fine. That said, the owner was amazing. He came over personally, talked to us, and sincerely apologized for the food and timing issues, which we really appreciated. That level of care goes a long way. We’re willing to come back and give it another try especially to try the lomo saltado — hopefully on a less busy night.

My wife and I dined at Pink Salt on Valentine’s Day, expecting a polished and well‑executed experience appropriate for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the evening fell far short of expectations, especially given the price and the fixed nature of the menu. Pink Salt appeared to be overbooked, and the kitchen was clearly backed up. From the time we placed our order to when the main course arrived, the wait was more than an hour, which immediately impacted the overall experience. The Valentine’s Day offering was a set menu consisting of three appetizers, three entrées, and three desserts. Despite this being a limited, pre‑planned menu, by 8:30 PM one appetizer and one dessert were already sold out, which felt poorly planned for a special dining service centered around a preset menu. Additionally, the arugula appetizer my wife selected did not match the description provided on the menu, which was both frustrating and misleading. While the entrées themselves were acceptable in taste, they arrived cold to the table, further diminishing the experience after such a long wait. Dessert was especially disappointing. The item brought to the table lacked any real presentation and appeared haphazardly assembled, which was surprising for a Valentine’s Day service that should feel elevated and thoughtful. The total cost of the dinner exceeded $200, and the experience did not reflect that price point. Between the long delays, sold‑out items, execution issues, and lack of attention to detail, the evening did not meet the standards expected from Pink Salt. While it’s understandable that Valentine’s Day brings higher volume, it also requires stronger planning and execution. Unfortunately, this visit did not deliver on those expectations, and we do not plan to return.

Had 8pm reservations did not get main course until 10pm, it was a price fix menu, so they were cooking like 6 dishes.
