First time for dinner. Had their Mee Krob appetizer, which is not served in most East Bay Thai restaurants. It was very good. Squid salad was excellent as well as quite hot. Jumbo fried prawns disappointing. Fried eggplant with pork & chicken OK.

I have never had such tasteless and ill-presented Thai food in my life. On a good note the cost was so inexpensive we could not believe it. A beer was $3.75. No reason to return unless we are in the area and need a beer.

Good food, average price, good service in light of only 1 waitress. Food was served 1 dish at a time based on when prepared. Last dish quite slow because ran out of tofu and had to go out and get it. However the food and quietness lent to our definitely returning Took other reviewer comments under consideration and did not order any meal with a red pepper icon. Yet, 1 meal was still a bit spicey

Food is very spicy, even when requested 0. Had the calamari and shrimp with noodle salad.Otherwise good flavor. Fried rice has a smoky flavor which is really nice.

Made a reservation several days in advance and when I arrived at the restaurant there was a hand written note on the door that they were closed due to a kitchen problem. I wish they would have called or email me that they were closed. Not sure if that is possible with Open Table, but any notice would have saved me time and frustration.

I made a reservation for Plearn Thai to have dinner before Berkeley Rep on Friday which was confirmed and when we finally found it, the restaurant was closed. That was a disappointment as the eating places are limited for this area.

Two dinners attending Berkeley Rep within 3 weeks. the food is superb! Authentic Thai, plentiful portions and reasonable prices.

We were able to enjoy a wonderful, flavorful meal for both vegetarian and meat loving tastes. The service was friendly, and the selections came out without delay. Definitely going back!

Went before a trip the theater. Single waitress did her best, but she should have had help. Food was just ok, but there is much better Thai to be had. We had barbecued pork -tasty, but dry. Shrimps in peanut sauce, very thick sauce. Prawns were juicy but killed by the heavy handed sauce.
