Delicious as always. I could eat the Bhel Peri everyday for the rest of my life. Except the didn’t have it on the menu for Valentine’s Day. :-(. However, Chef made me a batch. Love this place. Thanks. Great service from all.

This is like eating all of your favorite flavor profiles in one place done really well. Tempura elote is amazing. The drinks are VERY pricey but also VERY strong. Desserts are spot on. Just a great place.

All the food had excellent flavor and presentation, but even for small plates/family style/sharable, the portions were consistently smaller than expected. Very nice ambiance and interior, service was decent/what you would expect but unremarkable. Increase portion sizes by 20% and you have a truly exceptional dinner experience on your hands.

Amazing food! Wonderful drinks. Service... no. After being seated for a while in the half-empty main dining room, we were never greeted by any waitstaff and had to actually flag someone down to place an order for drinks and dinner. No one ever asked how our food was throughout the evening. After our first round drinks sat empty for a while, I actually had to get up and go to the bar, ask for a cocktail menu and for someone to respond to our table to take an order for another round of drinks. Unacceptable.

Beautiful restaurant, bar area, and overall aesthetics. I would absolutely go back for drinks, but would probably skip most of the food. Tried many items, Tempura Elotes = 9, Shaved Zucchini = 9, Baby Octopus = 6, Coal Roasted Mussels = -0.0000000000000 (terrible sauce, and just as bad burnt sourdough), Stone Boss = 5, Duck Dumplings = 6.5, Grilled Lamb Kabob = 7.5, Grilled Half Young Chicken = 5, for an overall average = 6. I'd say the exact mathematical average is pretty accurate. The Tempura Elotes and Zucchini salad were great, but the lackluster other dishes, and the g-d awful mussels, resulted in a D in my book. It didn't help that the service was a C- also. Thankfully we had good company at our table, otherwise our experience would've likely been a strike out!

Great brunch featuring off beaten path fusion dishes. Wonderful tempura elotes, apple cider donut, and duck egg to start. Uttapam was adventurous and delicious, highly recommend. Also enjoyed the cemita Milanese, a Mexican style pork tenderloin sandwich. The entire staff team was amazing.

We were in Chicago for the weekend and dined at Proxi the first night. We had high expectations based on reviews from various sources but were disappointed by both the food and service. The staff was constantly walking around determining what tables are going to turn over. Plates were taken from us with food still on them without asking if we were done causing our waitress to assume we were ready for dessert. My husband and I both felt that they were more concerned in getting us out of there than actually enjoying the experience, which then affected how much we could enjoy the food. The dishes the waitress recommended were considerably better than those not.

First time there and it was a delectible treat. I was at sepia last year for my birthday and decided to come here when i had family with me and they were also pleasantly surprised with the food, service, and the ambiance of the whole place.

I really enjoyed the food here. Chef anderw zimmerman and the crew have outdone themselves with the flavors and textures of each dish.

The staff was very knowledgable about each dish they were serving and if there was anything special that each dish may be a concern about to anyone with an allergy or a dietary restriction.

I can say that I have found my new favorite place to go to in the future.

We loved everything except the dessert. The 3 leches was quite dry and definitely not worth the price or calories. We’ll return on a quieter night however- the sound acoustics made conversation difficult. We could barely even hear the server!

Itis a cool space, delicious inventive cocktails. The food is out of this world - so interesting and very inventive flavors - Asia meets the Middle East. The shared plate experience is well paced so as not to be rushed. We have been there before and it gets better each time.

Atmosphere : Terrible, Too Loud, Can Not hear across the table.
Food : Duck Dumpling was bad (dry) Octopus and Oyster so-so. Zucchini , Yuba/Mushroom, Rock Bass, Vietnam Crepe was good.

This was my second time at Proxi and it was as good as the first time - which was VERY good. It is a huge menu of mostly small shareable plates, and my only complaint is that 95% sounded amazing so it was difficult to decide. Everything we ordered this time - and last - was fantastic.

This was my fourth visit to Proxi and I continue to be very satisfied. The flavors of the small plate dishes were excellent and contrasted nicely with each other. The service is excellent. Cocktails were generous and delicious. I definitely recommend Proxi.

Had a wonderful dinner at Proxi the other night. Our server was very nice. I will say that soda is sold by the bottle, and that was the only annoying part of the night. Our server said 3 plates per person, and the 2 of us we were stuffed at the end of the night. Started with the burrata - delicious, love how the bread is buttery and toasted - then the tempura elotes - we almost ordered a 2nd batch of these because they were so delicious. For the main courses we had beef shank curry, which had a punch with the spices, and the half chicken which I wish was bigger, but it is called a "young" chicken so they weren't hiding anything with that. The potato carbonara was great with delicious whipped butter (i think), and delicious bacon. Then the mussels which were cooked really well and had a fantastic sauce. Will be back for more!

Proxi has been on my list as one of the best restaurants in Chicago for awhile and I am so happy they are serving brunch! The menu is very diverse with a mix of small and large plates, giving you an opportunity to try different dishes. It's not your usual brunch fare which is so refreshing. Great coffee and brunch cocktails too!

Food and drinks were great but the service was a little slow. We had to constantly flag down our server to get anything, maybe the server was newer, not sure. Everyone was very nice though.

Fantastic place! Our favourite restaurant of the 5 reservations we made while in Chicago. Service was friendly but not pushy, the place is beautiful, and the food was creative. Went for brunch -- highly recommend the Son in Law Egg as a small plate to start. Share as much as you can because you'll want to taste everything. Great cocktails and sourdough bread.

It was really, really, really cold. So that's a minus. The server should have told us that some of the plates we were planning to share couldn't really be shared. We would have happily ordered two when necessary. Anyway, aside from the cold, this was our second time there and it's good, just not even remotely as good as other places at a similar price range — including some within a block or two. Still, good for a late night dinner on a night when reservations are scarce. Not if it's a cold night, however. I'm telling you, it was freezing.

This place was absolutely stunning! Super focused on presentation and checking in on the table quite often. Their limited menu definitely encouraged me to step outside the box of what I would normally eat.

I am a member of a monthly supper club exploring the extraordinary cuisine of Chicago. This was the 26th restaurant we have dined in and the group found it very appealing. The valet was friendly and accommodating, the host staff welcoming and helpful, the bartenders helpful and efficient, and our wait person Jordan was amazing and delightful to be around.

The wine seemed a little pricey and you may want to offer a 6oz or 9 oz pour. That being said we would definately recommend Proxi to our friends.

Having been a Disney Cast Member I am overly critical regarding excellence...keep up the great hospitality.

We went for brunch and was blown away by everything we ordered. It happened to be my birthday (and somehow they knew about it) and I was surprised with a Proxi Donut. Y'all- when I say this was amazing- i mean- when you bite into the donut, this Vietnamese coffee pastry cream oozes out- it was so good! We ordered the concha bread with toasted coconut jam ( delicious), grilled sourdough with strawberry-thai basil jam (soft buttered bread with the best jam), son in-law egg- which was a crispy duck egg on bed of greens- to die for- like order two- you don't want to share it. We also ordered the kimchi fried rice and coconut & pandan leaf french toast from the "Mains" menu. All excellent.
The service was perfect. I cannot rave enough about our experience. 10/10!

Outstanding dinner! Loved the smoked pumpkin hummus, yellowtail tartare and crispy Vietnamese crepe. The space is very interesting and the service was good. I will be back - I’d like to try sitting at the kitchen counter next time.

Amazing food but tiny portions given prices and street food style. Amazing cocktails and gin list. Service was okay, not very attentive but passable. Very loud inside restaurant. Highly recommend the tempura elotes.

I love Proxi .. the food , the ambience ! I miss the elotrs .. corn infused tequila drink !! I hope they bring it back in the spring !!
The food is fantastic .. Bhel Puri , Potato Carbonara , Fish Rasam , Black pepper pork and the Thai sausage are my favorites!!
