Confirmed our booking but when we arrived they were closed. This was a birthday present and we'd paid for a taxi only to go home again. It's not hard to update your website and opening hours on google and to switch off your booking service to not waste your customers time and annoy them.

Amazing service, fabulous atmosphere and great range of drinks

Service is amazing, the staff really know their stuff. Cocktails taste great and they will make something for you if you feel like nothing shouts out to you on the menu. The atmosphere and feel of the place is great, its small but you dont feel cramped at all, its a lovely place. I did not try the food but the menu looks great. Value for money though? Not really. Its great for dates and quiet meetups if you have the money, but cocktails starting at £9 going up from there it doesn't make them taste any nicer. If the prices could fall and the menu was made available online before booking, and become a bit more diverse, id be happy and vist a lot more

Excellent cocktails, friendly and attentive service and a truly delightful menu. All of our courses were as delicious as they looked and it was great to see this perfect city centre spot not only re-opened but reinvigorated. We’ll be back!

As always, had a great time at Public. Little bit sad there are only few cocktail options (would have loved to have the full menu, even if online) as they are know due to their hectic and creative cocktails.

Lovely atmosphere. Would have liked more food choices. Appreciate we are in covid times and they may have reduced the choice but only option was a 2 or 3 course meal. Have been a number of times and had more snack options available.
However, the ambiance and service was very good with pleasant staff.
Will be going back again.

Delicious cocktails which cost between £7-£9, very worthwhile. Love the niche feel of being in an old public toilets!! Service was very attentive and friendly. Booking is essential

Only rated food as 4 star as we didn’t eat at Public. We did however have nibbles from the bar (olives and nuts which were very tasty). Really great and unique experience to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary. Ask for a White Negroni, you’ll not be disappointed

Service was friendly, professional and prompt. Food and drink was excellent as always. We felt very safe, social distance-wise, with where we were seated and the general cleanliness of the venue as a whole. Really enjoyed our visit and will be booking again.

Banging. All the staffed bossed it made the evening incredible. The ricotta dumplings almost made me cry they were that good.

Really loud groups of people in, shouting and doing shots, we couldn't hear each other at all. Cocktails were amazing, it was a shame about the atmosphere.

Lovely food & cocktails as always. Attentive service without being invasive. Current set menu is much better value than pre-lockdown food too.

Original and brilliant in its own right. Firstly, the location of the bar curates it’s identity but the knowledge of ingredients and knack of the staff are what makes it.

Was lovely to be back post lockdown. Booked in on what happened to be a eat out to help out scheme day, so a great set menu of delicious food was an absolute steal and worth more thank we paid. We made up for this with how much we drank. Both food and drink were quality focused - something that is fab to see.

Great to see Public open again! Food, drinks and service were top notch as always - with covid measures handled with subtlety so it didn’t take away from the experience. Attention and thought was clearly put in to the reduced drinks menu and how to minimise risk when mixing drinks
