They were out of many options, my pasta was dry, they were even out of clean dishes. We were in a back corner and I felt like we were not even in a restaurant but banquet hall. I was very disappointed.
Not the best effort tonight. Service was slow. My Ralph's chicken parm was just warm, my wife's eggplant parm was overcooked. Other apps, entrees and dessert were fine. For what we pay here I expect more.
Our server Michael Lancelotti was fantastic - friendly and professional service.
great attention to detail, great food, great service at the table and especially at the bar (ask for John and Donna) and great value.
The man at the host stand made no eye contact with me. Hostess sat 2 of us at a table with one chair. We stood at the table while she gathered flatware and dishes. Eventually, after the table was set, a waitress brought over a second chair.
Food was mediocre. Not fresh, not flavorful, not special. Cocktails were quite good.
Table service was good. Constant contact between 2 servers ensuring we were taken care of.
Execellent food, drinks and services. Recomend to everyone
While the service was good the food was fair at best.
Good food and drinks are to be found at this nice Italian restaurant. We even wish that they would bring in some of the additional specialties which are deliciously found from their Ninth Street location !
Excellent food and service; overall very satisfied. Noise level a bit too much to have an easy conversation.
Everything was good from the food to the service, but it did get loud towards the end of our dinner service. Overall my family and i was happy and satisfied
As good as 9th and Christian location w/o the parking hassle. Food, Service, location and ambiance all terrific -- They go out of their way to make it a wonderful experience. My wife and I enjoy eating here at least 3-5 times per month.
Great performance on a challenging Mother’s Day crowd. Busy wait staff did a good job on being attentive. Food here never disappoints. Loved the signature cocktail.
my first trip to Ralph’s, everything was great. My trip on mother’s day was an awful experience. The iced tea tasted like bleach, when we told the server she shrugged her shoulders. The food was really less than desirable. The meatballs had a funny taste, the food was cold, some food took 10 mins after everyone else’s to come out. While we were waiting on our dinner the bussers were cleaning up / breaking down tables around us and stacking chairs, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. What an awful mother’s day dinner.
Amazing restaurant! The chicken parm is to die for!
The food was excellent and we had several unique entrees to choose from. The family really enjoyed the meatballs. This was our second visit and we will have plans to return.
Jamie are server was excellent and when we. go back we will ask for her . The only thing we did not like was where that sat us which was like a half circle table.
Started the meal with Beet Caprese. There was a variety of beets on the platter. It was colorful and refreshing. For my main entree, I had the salmon special. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. It was served on a bed of linguini. Unlike many Italian dishes this platter was not overfilled with pasta, it was just the right amount with a healthy serving of salmon. For the finale, Tiramisu and Italian Kiss coffee. The Tiramisu was light and fluffy, not overbearing with Amaretto.
Our server was Salvatore. He was very personable and delightful. He added to our excellent experience.
The Eggplant Parmigiana was good, as expected, since it is one of their original classics. The lemon slice in the iced tea tasted bad, as if it was old, but otherwise a nice meal.
With the history of Ralph’s in Philadelphia I was expecting more. Zero ambiance in the room as it reminded me of a hotel lounge. We were first seated at a table where the seat along the wall was a couch, with no support so you sunk down. My wife tried sitting there than I did but the table wound up being above chest height. We moved to a regular table. Service was prompt and attentive but I wondered why the appetizer and salads were brought out at the same time. I had the veal parmigiana which was good but I was expecting the veal to be “melt in your mouth” as it being their signature dish. I may eat there again but will know better what to expect, but won’t be rushing back.
Great food and what an incredible dessert menu. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating.
OUTSTANDING! I can never give another entree a try, because the VEAL PARM is the BEST I’ve ever had. The sauce is mouthwatering, veal fresh, and has a crispy thin coating, along with the right amount of melted perfectly parm. The side of pasta is cooked al dente. Hubby orders Caesar salad to start, which we share. The dressing is perfect. Get the anchovies on it, delish. His go to entree is Veal Capriciosa, which has eggplant in it. OMG, soooo good. For dessert, we never leave without ordering the Tiramisu. Service is always outstanding. By far, one of our FAVORITE restaurants, a hidden gem!
We had a OT Rez for late evening. Only the bar was open when we arrived. Food was still being served and service was great at the bar though I probably would not have booked it knowing this ahead. Food was fine though call ahead if you are expected to be seated in the dining room later in the evening.
Another great meal. Started off rocky, after about 15 mins we hadn’t been offered a drink. Bread & water had been dropped off. Spoke with the host and apparently a little mix up who’s station we were in. The manager bought us a round of drinks which was nice. Anthony our waiter and was excellent as well as the food.
Loved the live music!
We have dined at Ralph's of South Philly in KOP before. It was a good experience. This time our experience has swung to the negative side a little bit because the food was over cooked and a group of insensitive male customers. The escarole, instead of being green, was pretty brown. The chicken was tough and dry too. The chef can certainly make some improvement in this aspect. The other negative side of this particular dining event was the noise level in the restaurant. It started out quietly. But later on came a group of men, 7 or 8 all together. They were really loud and talked like they were in their private room. The waiter also talked to them in a loud voice. We just finished our meal and left. I know the restaurant has very little control over loud customers. But the noise level simply makes it unpleasant for other people.
Seated promptly. Not noisy at all. Great server and fantastic food!
Food was excellent and Anthony provided great service.
Thank you for the great feedback Richard! We’ll be sure to share the comments with Anthony and look forward to seeing you again soon!
We tried new dishes this time, but both agreed to stay with their classics next meal. The Chicken Napoitano was just OK - the cutlet was on the dry side, and the toppings of broccoli rabe, roasted peppers and a long hot did not add sufficient moisture. The side of spaghetti only had a small dollop of sauce, so also dry after the first bite. I will stick with the items they do so well - and can always recommend the Gnocchi and Eggplant parm!
Our sincerest apologies the food wasn’t up to our normal standards! We hope to see you soon so we can make up for that and get back to the dishes you love, thanks!
Server was excellent and the food was outstanding. I had the house drink and that was wonderful also. I don’t have any complaints we just thought it should be decorated a little different. Very Plain and boring. But definitely would return for that homemade pasta!!
Thank you for the great feedback! We take our pasta very seriously so we’re so glad you enjoyed it!
A must try food venue.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Mussels with spicy red sauce. Use the bread to scoop up every drop of the sauce!!
We love this review, it explains what we’re about perfectly. Thank you Eric! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Good food and drinks are to be found at this convenient King Of Prussia location. Perhaps in the future this location might incorporate some more of the special delicacies from their original South Philadelphia location, onto their menu !
Thank you for the great feedback! Next time give us a couple days notice and we can make any old school South Philly recipe you could want! See you soon.
Always a great time. Food is great service is great. They make you feel like you are special.
Thank you for making us feel special too Paul! We can’t wait to serve you again soon.
Our favorite place when we are in town for dinner.
Thanks Jeff, we look forward to seeing you next time you’re in town!
First time dining here husband and I both ordered a chicken entree and both were a little dry but didn't ruin our meals... Our server Anthony was outstanding! Will return again.
Thank you for the kind words Lynn! We’ll be sure to share with Anthony and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
We love this restaurant and go there often even though it is a 35 minute drive from our home. The meatballs are outstanding as is the chicken parm. They have just started making all their own desserts.
I had the cannoli cake. The cake was a little dense for my taste and the cannoli on top too soft. Although the filling was great I would not order again. My husbands carrot cake was wonderful. Our server this time was just adequate. She was friendly but consistently forgot to get water, butter etc. and then apologizing. Overall, it is worth the trip.
Thank you for the informative and great review Cody! We’re never satisfied with our service, so we’ll be sure to use this to get better. Thanks again and can’t wait to see you again soon!
As usual a reliably good meal with attentive service. We will be back.
Thank you for the kind feedback!
I was disappointed that it was so quiet there. My experience with the restaurant in South Philly was completely different and I was looking for the decor and atmosphere I experienced there. This felt like it could have been any hotel restaurant.
The food and service are always fantastic! You cannot go wrong choosing Ralph's of South Philly in KoP.
