Great experience, from the valet (Kyle), to the greeting and prompt seating, to the servers (Nick and Anthony), and the amazing food! It was an exceptional dinner! Thanks!
Amazing restaurant! The Salmon Oscar paired with the Fritz Zimmer Riesling was to die for! I celebrated my birthday here and the table was decorated with confetti and a birthday card. I also received a slice of their amazing chocolate mousse cake. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Best place I’ve been to while in Atlanta. I love it and my mother loved it.
Food was excellent. Service is excellent almost every time I visit. This time it was not bad but the waitress was not as attentive as they normally are when I visit.
Birthday! Our waiter was outstanding! Great view of the river too!
Our waiter is always the best we ask for him every month and the management and staff always to please - food is excellent in every category - noise level low, view is the best and overall experienced is always excellent.
We had a large group of 10 for a business dinner. The setting was very nice, although we found the lighting extremely low — too dark. The food was totally decent, but the prices felt a bit too high for the location. All of that would have been sufficient for a perfectly lovely meal anyhow... but our waiter was aggressively pushing specific appetizers at us, repeatedly trying to talk us into getting the most expensive options. It was extremely off-putting. And when we didn’t take his recommendations, he became aloof and inattentive. Not what you expect for those prices.
The restaurant was amazing! The staff was engaging, funny and attentive. The food was delicious and fresh. Everything was perfectly timed and the VIEW. Spectacular.
The grouper was dry (second time in three weeks). Portion size has gone down also.
I travel to Atlanta at least once or twice a year, and every time I am there, I make time to go to Ray's on the River to eat. I love everything about this restaurant. They treat me so well. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the view is very pretty. This week, I brought my husband here for the first time, and I loved sharing a favorite of mine with him. He had heard me raving about it a lot. When my daughter was visiting a friend in Atlanta, I sent them both to Ray's on the River and bought them dinner. This time, we were just traveling through Atlanta on a road trip, and I had to stop and have dinner and introduce my husband to this restaurant. He loved it.
Went for our anniversary, server took a bit to greet us when we were sat but was very nice and informative when he did, had 2 apps and split the porterhouse steak wasn’t exactly hott when it came to the table but was good the sides were delicious they catered to our anniversary and made it special for us which we enjoyed.
Brunch was outstanding. Great improvement from my last visit.
My wife, stepdaughter and I went to the Sunday buffet last week. The valet was backed up so much that it took about 15 minutes just to hand over the car to the valet (apparently self parking was not an option) We had reservations and were put in a booth in front of the music ensemble which was way too loud and a little cheesy. The river view amenity is only meaningful if you are seated at the lower level next to the glass or at least closer to it. It was very crowded and the food was only average althought there was a large selection. My dining companions were not impressed and said that they would not be interested in coming back. That's tough for a meal + tip for 3= $175!
The only suggestion I have would be to enforce the dress code. The door says Business Casual but extremely short skirts and body suits do noy fit that description.
It was wonderful!!! ❤️
I love eating here. The brunch on Sunday is awesome and delicious.
Always a great time when we visit Ray’s. Food is very enjoyable and tasty, service hospitality friendly and ambiance so welcoming. Please continue with the same vision and the success will continue.
This is absolutely the best dining experience in all of Atlanta, Sunday brunch. Beautiful scenery, best food available, and a mix of all types of races and smiling faces. Breathtaking!!
The FOOD was great!!! The service was not the best in the beginning because our waiter was no where to be found for 20 minutes. When we finally saw him he was helping other tables and NEVER came back to check on us. We needed refills plus my glass had lipstick on it. The service became exceptional once we requested and received a new waiter.
Great place to take your significant other. Food and drinks are absolutely fantastic. Great ambiance and setting. Only thing is the low quantity of food for the price. Other than that, great place and will definitely be visiting again.
We celebrated my dad’s 70th Birthday tonight. Our waitstaff was very nice but very slow. We waited very long for everything tonight....not what I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. Disappointed.
We enjoyed our meal and had a wonderful time.
Always great food. A little disappointed in the fact that the server never asked if my Veal had been cooked as ordered. It hadn't. Medium doesn't mean a cold red center. But generally I was happy.
The food was good but not great. The waiter and his assistant were not very attentive. Both my wife and myself were without anything to drink for a large portion of the meal. I had ordered the asparagus with hollandaise sauce on the side. The hollandaise container was not removed when the table was cleared. The waiter quickly set the the electronic cc reader on the table and knocked over the container. It spilled on my shirt and pants. He was in such a hurry he didn’t notice he had spilled hollandaise on me. His assistant noticed I was wiping my clothes and came over to investigate. I explained what had happened and he was very apologetic. Our waiter never came over to apologize. My wife and I were not able to continue with the evenings plans because I had to return home to change clothes. This was a disappointing visit to Ray’s on the River.
We dined at Ray's for my nieces 19th birthday....we had an absolutely wonderful time. Service was impeccable, food was so delicious, couldn't be more pleased!.. Can't wait to dine here again....this is becoming one of our families favorite places!!!!
Excellent food, good service, beautiful location right on the chattahoochee river.
Wonderful birthday celebration! Our waiter Jeremy was the best!!
Food was just fine. Not as special as I was hoping for. Our waiter we got unfortunately was not friendly at all. Wouldn’t smile and just came off very snooty. For the price was just hoping to be more impressed.
Service was great! The food was good. Ray’s needs to update the furniture. The chairs and fixtures are starting to show their age. For an upscale restaurant they need to put some of the profits into the ambience of Ray’s on the River.
Have always wanted to dine here and finally had close friends with same wish and Jeff Foxworthy concert to attend. Drove 1 hour from Athens area. well worth it
The sever was hard to hear, big table of 13 but still. He had say the specials 3 times. Never introduced the appetizers, and there were 3 large presentations. No introduction, everyone was asking what’s on the cold tower, what’s on the hot platter? At least one person had lipstick on his glass from a previous guest!!
We had to change our reservation to 7 people from six and were told that it had to be moved back an hour due to the extra person because they wouldn’t just add a chair to a table. Arrived 15 min prior to reservation time and wasn’t seated until 30 min after reservation... so now 1.5 hours after original time only to find they did in fact just add a chair to a six-top. Once seated, however, everything was next level. Great food, great wait staff, great atmosphere.
Excellent. Very relaxing. Well worth the experience.
THE FOOD IS OVERLY PRICEY. MY FILET MIGNON WAS BUTTERFLIED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.. MY WIFE'S NEW YORK STRIP WAS VERY WELL DONE (ORDERED MEDIUM RARE). A SECOND NY STRIP WAS RAW AND HAD TO BE RE-COOKED. THE WAITER WAS NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE AND BASICALLY INVISIBLE UNTIL THE CHECK. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RETURN....A MOSTDISAPPOINTING EVENING!
Probably my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Great location right on the Chattahoochee River. The restaurant is not too large so it feels somewhat intimate even though they have several private dining rooms that can accommodate very large gatherings - you never see those rooms or crowds. The bar area is great and the fire pit on the outdoor patio is a great place to hang out when the weather is good. Open table has filled the only shortcoming of Ray's: making a reservation here has always been a pain - still it for large groups. May OT can tackle that one day.
Excellent food as always. Noise level makes it somewhat difficult to hear your dinner partners.
Horrible service. Multiple servers. Right hand didn’t seem to know what left hand was doing. Asked to order dinner no less than three times. Someone finally showed up!
Brunch was supposed to be till 2pm although they were out of creme brulee by 2pm and were not bringing any more out...how is this fair to people who had a 1 30 reservation paying same as everyone else $42.50 per person for brunch and they be out of half they claim they offer? Their jazz Live music ended about the time we arrive as well. Not worth the money. Id recommend Chama Chauga or Fogo de Chai instead. High quality service as advertised.
We celebrated my friend’s birthday!
