Situated at the base of the beautiful Seven Falls, Restaurant 1858's menu and decor are inspired by the Colorado Gold Rush. Featuring from scratch, seasonal, local, and wood fire grilled Colorado cuisine and cocktails.

Lunch: Served from 11am to 4pm, featuring an a la carte menu with prices ranging from $9-21 for appetizers; $22-36 for sandwiches & plated lunches; and desserts from $12.

Let's put it this way. If this restaurant wasn't located where it was, it would not be a recommended place. Food is good not great.

The restaurant, location, view, and service was excellent. The only shock and disappointment was that we had to pay $21 ea. (Senior rate) just to enter Seven Falls where the restaurant is located. I entered the restaurant address on google maps thinking we would just drive there, but instead we were taken to a parking lot and shuttled 15 minutes to the Park entrance and from there we had to walk 15-20 minutes up to where the restaurant is. None of this was indicated on the restaurant website when I made the reservation. However, seeing the Falls is well worth the trip. Our waitress Charlotte (from New Zealand) was personable and gave excellent service.

Mediocre food, especially the desserts. Inexperienced waiter that was not knowledgeable and made mistakes on the bill, which the manager had to correct. Definitely would not return and would not recommend.

Chicken was badly overcooked; couldn’t eat it, had to send it back. Vegetable bowl was just ok. For the price, the food should be better. Location and ambiance were great!

Food took a while to get delivered. Went for the views and table was in a place that only viewed wall and hostess station. Glass of wine was fine until the last drink was more sediment than wine. Sounds like an exacerbation but I had to spit it into my napkin as I couldn’t choke it down and somehow my wine was a solid. Billed as fine dining experience in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately it was neither

It took over an hour to get our food. It was great, but waiting that long was ridiculous. Hopefully they can communicate how long things are going to take when people order.

The experience was very touristy, but a really unique and beautiful setting. The trek to get there was easy, you park ata nearby CO Springs lot and a shuttle brings you up to the entry gate. The shuttle drivers were very friendly. The most notable thing about the restaurant was the extremely friendly service by every single person that came to the table. They were knowledgeable and made you feel like they were happy to be serving you. The food was decent, but my trout wasn't really amazing. Not overcooked at all which was nice, but for the price I thought it was average. The other 3 people got the 12 oz steaks and they were a touch overcooked and just okay at the $59 per price point. The bread and cornbread were delicious, the trout dip amazing as well as the kale salad. I would definitely go back with folks from out of town as the falls were gorgeous and it was a different dining experience. Just wear tennis shoes....

Food was underwhelming. Tried to sit us in front of the bathroom when restaurant was almost empty. Had to ask for a steak knife when eating steak. Drinks were way overpriced. Waitress was sweet when she showed up.
