This is one of my favorite Mexican spots on Long Island and their outdoor patio is officially open for the season. We started with a frozen margarita flight and loaded nachos. For entrées, the salmon with their signature mole was unreal and the chicken tortilla pie was packed with flavor. And do not skip dessert! The cornbread tres leches and coffee flan were both incredible. The vibe here is everything, and they have live mariachi on Friday nights and special events. If you’re going out for Long Island Restaurant Week, they offer a prix fixe menu with options like their chicken buñuelos, enchiladas, tacos, and of course desserts like tres leches and flan.  For Cinco de Mayo, they go all out with live mariachi, tequila and mezcal tastings, and a full day of food, drinks, and music.  And for Mother’s Day, they host a special brunch experience with live mariachi and a full menu in a really fun atmosphere.  They have two Long Island location in Patchogue and Woodbury as we as Brooklyn and Astoria. (We visited the Patchogue location.) 📍 Ruta Oaxaca Mexican Cuisine
