Wonderful food, wonderful service (thanks Polly) a real neighborhood gem!
We were there on a really busy Saturday night. All tables were full and the large table in the corner was particularly loud.
Great spot — hate to share good comments because then it’ll b harder to get in.
Scottys is great
always outstanding entrees and service, very welcoming atmosphere
Excellent. White table clothing dining. We split ribs and scallops. Among the better fine dining places on the north shore. Will go again.
This is one of our favorite go-to places. Varied menu, great food, excellent service. Tried a new (at least for us) item, pork chop with sautéed brussels sprouts--outstanding. Always crowded, but an easy place to enjoy a conversation with a date or friends. We'll be interested to see how the new Scotty's location in Vernon Hills measures up!
First visit. Enjoyed food, service and ambiance so much that we are coming back with a larger group later this week!
Great little restaurant! Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
The atmosphere is beautiful in this restaurant. It is very intimate and dark. Cocktails we expensive and a very weak pour, not to mention by brother whose birthday we were celebrating we both ordered the large cube Manhattan which was suppose to come with a dark amareno cherry just had a maraschino to the tune of $12 not worth it. The wines are a generous pour. We started with the chopped salad and calamari both were excellent. Two people had filet which was excellent , a bacon wrapped scallops very good two of us had the pork chop which was ok kind if on the dry side. Our waitress was great and very attentive and the desserts were great!
Scotty's is a great place for any occasion! they really know how to service their guests...
Scotty’s had good atmosphere. It was lively but not too noisy. Tables were well situated and service was good. The food was average - good but nothing special. It’s a good place for locals to meet but not worth the drive from Lincoln Park.
Great food, service, & atmosphere. Will be back.
My meal was very good. My wife had the trout and it was just ok. It came with Brussels Sprouts that had too much pepper.
The food took a long time to be served.
Scotty’s on Sheridan never disappoints. The service is exceptional. Scotty himself is always hands on and and remembers you. Very welcoming, yet at the same time classy and chic. The food is on point. The salmon is to die for. Flourless chocolate cake- how do they do it- superb. Be sure to make a reservation.
I thought the food was very good. the service and the ambience were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
Food quality was poor to fair. Shrimp and asparagus pasta with creamy tomato sauce was drenched with way too much thick sauce. Cream of asparagus soup was thin and had no asparagus in it. Crab cakes were not fully cooked. The food selection and prep here seems old-fashioned, like the decor. Doubt that we will return.
Great local spot to meet friends and have a great experience.
Overall, very pleased with the entire evening. Our guests from a nearby suburb were first time diners at Scotty's. They were pleasantly surprised with the food and ambiance and plan to bring their family back during the holidays! The waiter was attentive, refilled the water glasses and could not have been nicer or more professional in his attitude and level of service.
Great spot. Very good food, service and environment. Always treated special.
This is my wife and my favorite spot for dinner. Scotty is awesome and the service is second to none. Best food in town.
Excellent experience. Enjoyable menu. Tables too close together. Will definitely return.
I love Scotty’s. I love Scotty. I always eat in the bar and appreciate that they have chair cushions. Always great atmosphere, sound level low enough that we can hear each other. Service is great. Always love the food. I will be back again and again.
Always love Scotty’s. Good food. Not noisy. Pleasant and easy parking. And Scotty is a great guy. On top of everything❗️❗️
Great food and a nice ambient atmosphere.
Strongly recommend the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti with meatballs.
My sister-in-law picked Scotty’s for a triple birthday meal. It was our first visit there, and each of us found something to try that we enjoyed. The waiter was very helpful with our questions. Though many of their options seemed a bit pricey, my sister-in-law was able to get more mussels (and skip unwanted sides) by choosing the appetizer version in stead of the entree, and with an on-the-house dessert shared four ways, balanced by an extra-generous tip, our total bill was just $25 per diner.
The food was excellent, and although we prefer the seating area with round tables in the room with the bar, the ambiance was still good. All the food was excellent--veal medallions, scallops, and cuban sandwich. Service was a little slow, probably due to the large number of diners for a weeknight, but all the waitstaff were very pleasant and helpful.
Excellent food and drinks. Outstanding appetizers. If you haven't been..... GO.
Second time dining at Scotty’s. Good food, and appreciate that Scotty himself is working the tables with his staff
These chicken parm hands down.
Enjoyed both the food and the ambience. Very good service
Great as usual. Food, service and environment are always right on. Can’t beat the place.
Had two adults and 4 grandkids. Kids were extremely well bahaved and well received by the restaurant staff. Was great.
Scotty"s has a wonderful atmosphere, so welcoming.
Staff and service excellent as are all dishes that we have
tried. I like the meat preparations, my wife likes the seafood dishes.
It was my birthday!
Scotty's on Sheridan is fine. For a restaurant off the beaten path in a strip mall, it's run of the mill American fare was much better than I thought it would be. However, given how expensive the food is, I was expecting more. For a comparable amount, there are several restaurants in the area with more creative, flavorful meals and cocktails. I had the salmon, which tasted fresh, but was ultimately let down by it's bland accompaniment of asparagus, tomatoes, avocado and balsamic glaze. My husband had the pork ribs, which were tender and fell off the bone, inline with what you'd get at most places in the area. Our server was very pleasant and the atmosphere was fine for the strip mall location. Overall, it was an okay meal, but my husband and I probably won't be back.
Great menu and good wine list. Really solid service. You better go or someone else will.
Striped Seabass was excellent and filet was very good. Nice ambiance and great service.
VERY FAIR PRICES FOR HIGH QUALITY FOOD AND DRINKS
GOOD SERVICE AND WHITE TABLE CLOTHS
This was our first time to Scotty’s and the food was very good. Jay was our server and did a fantastic job and made great recommendations. We will definitely dine here again.
Our go-to eating out spot. Never disappointed! Our choice for birthday groups.
