The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.
We love everything about Serafina from the great bartenders, servers, managers, chefs, delicious food, and music we always are finding ourselves singing along to! 💕
Fantastic food with a great wine selection and friendly service.
A special day for us(49th wedding anniversary) was made even better by the service, food and setting at Serafina's. The day was hot, but the patio was quite comfortable and the water glass refills appreciated. I always recommend Serafina to people who have never experienced the food or atmosphere.
It’s been awhile since we Dined there. Still a nice atmosphere but the food was not as good as I remember.
We have eaten at Serafina for many years. Our salad and appetizer were excellent. Both past disches were not up to the usual high standards of Serafina. The pasta was firm and the sauces overwhelmed the pasta and other ingredients. We still love the place.
Highly recommended! Excellent service Started with a spicy octopus appetizer followed by Copper River salmon risotto that exceeded my very high expectations.
Our neighborhood restaurant with exceptional food and wine list and a wonderful staff that keeps us coming back.
Still our favorite restaurant in Seattle. The food is always good. The service is impeccable - even on a busy day. We particularly like the mussels (a must have for my chef mother when she visits). The wine recommendations are spot on.
Great food. Well presented and seasoned. The ravioli was exceptionally fresh and Rich. The Copper River salmon was perfectly cooked but the portion was small for the $32 price.
The house wines By The Glass were excellent. If you're a bourbon Drinker hold your hat, they've got some very rare Bourbons like 32 year-old Pappy Van Winkle.
For a special occasion, where intimate chatter is not necessary, you couldn't go to a better restaurant
Good, but could have been better, if only there was more attentive service!
Food was great but the waiter forgot our entrees and brought us a desert menu after appetizers. He then made the assumption that we wanted to share an entree. It worked out but led to delay in getting dinner.
Serafina is my neighborhood restaurant and how lucky am I! Food, servers and ambiance are always great. Can’t say enough nice things about this place!
Amazing ambiance, food and service. Every dish we had was great. Can’t wait to go back.
Been eating here for over 20 years and they are till in the game!
It was my husbands birthday. We have been here before and loved it! But this visit was extra special, every person engaged him with a birthday wish. Thank you for making his day special.
Such a great spot for any occasion. Always have the nicest staff.
Wonderful food and staff was friendly! Only complaint is that it took a while for the food to come out. Other than that i will definitely keep coming back!!
We had a fabulous dinner sitting outside on the patio. Everything was perfect-the food, drinks, and the service. This is a great place for a family dinner!
Food was exquisite. Only two (minor) complaints: bill was put on our table when we had just started to eat dessert, which seems inappropriate at a fine restaurant. Table next to us was exceedingly loud and person seated immediately adjacent to me continually bumped into our table--maybe separate these tables a bit more?
Would definitely return as food was truly memorable.
Serafina is one of our family’s favorite places to eat! Every pasta dish was impeccable and the rockfish was delicious! Great service and a wonderful dessert helped make our Mother’s Day dinners one of the best yet!
The eggplant entree was outstanding! Brussels sprouts were so tasty too. Lovely place!
Serafina is always a treat. Great ambiance with white table clothes while remaining urban and grounded in "simple" and great dishes
Great service, uniquely prepared food, great ambiance
Serafina (and Chichetti) never disappoint. My favorite spot to share with visiting guests. Fantastic food/drink & reasonable corkage fee.
Menu was very limited and too lamb heavy. My wife doesn’t eat lamb or bivalves. She had to have a veal meatball appetizer for dinner that she did not enjoy. Your menu used to be more extensive when we have been there in the past.
I won’t be returning until the menu changes.
Never disappoints! Incredible food. Outstanding service!
Great experience! Great food! Great service! We celebrated my friend’s birthday and it was just what she wanted!
Always great food, at times the noise level is a little to elevated. Must be from all the close seating. Excellent service.
Serafina is our favorite restaurant....it never fails to impress. We have never been disappointed over a period of 25 plus years. On this visit, Paul had tomato soup and Bolognese and I had a butter lettuce salad with a spicy mussels dish. Both were delicious.
Seraphinas always offers consistently delicious food, a knowledgeable and approachable sommelier, friendly staff that know their offerings and a comfortable ambiance.
Excellent food, very nice service, good cocktails and an all around lovely evening.
First let me say Serafina has been one of our favorite restaurants in the Seattle area for the last 10 years. Everytime we visit Seattle we try to go for lunch or dinner. Last fall we went for dinner but I didn't write a review because I didn't want to write anything negative. Last month we went for lunch and I regret to say it is just not the same as it was. The food is still very good, some things are excellent. The menu is more limited and the service not quite as friendly. One of the things we always loved about it was we always felt so welcome, like we were coming home each time we visited. I can't say exactly why, but the last two times we were there we just didn't have that "welcomed" feeling. I would still recommend Serafina for lunch, if the weather is nice and you can sit on the lovely patio. I'm sure we'll go again sometime but probably not for awhile.
The food & service were wonderful.
We just thought the portions were too small.
We all left hungry.
Excellent food, great ambiance, great service. I’ll be back soon.
What a phenomenal dinner. Start to finish everything was exceptional.
Always a great meal with great service.
The Melanzane!!!! Brings me back regularly!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The food is outstanding, it really surprised us given the price point and the general state of the restaurant's interior. I would only knock Serafina for the ambiance and the general shabby condition of the furnishings. We went at lunch time on a Tuesday (not peak time, admittedly), but the restaurant was probably half full. It was very quiet and the dance music on the stereo was really in our faces; the dance music jarred with the ambiance, we felt, but each to their own. The ambiance was a bit sterile as a result, it's not a memorable place to spend time, which is a shame because it can be so much more with a little more effort. Our personal taste, maybe. I wouldn't consider Serafina for a "special" dinner/lunch because it's clearly a "functional" restaurant, and because the furnishings are both rustic (paper table cloths and place mats) and shabby (the seats had holes in the cushions). Go there for great Italian food in a rustic, functional environment and you will be very happy. I'm sure they could triple their prices if they revamped the interior drastically and customers would still pour through the door, the food is that good.
Really enjoyed the meal and the mixed drinks-- ordered the Bruschetta, Polpettine, our favorite were the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe and Rigatoni Bolognese. The Carbonara was far too peppery for our taste so we wish we had skipped out on that one. The place was full, so it gets a little loud in the space, but not too loud to hear each other just fine for a wonderful date night.
I live just across the way on Capital Hill. This is a neighborhood “go to” restaurant. It’s consistently delicious and homemade. The ambiance is calming and elegant. This is definitely one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Seattle.
