The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.
Great food, great service. Always consistent.
Brussel sprouts were the best I've had in my life with bacon and gorgonzola! Charcuterie was also amazing, especially the proscuitto. Pastas were good, not great, but the sauce on the bolognese was outstanding.
Excellent, prompt, and kind service. High quality ingredients and food. Highly recommended.
Excellent-good food, friendly expert staff, timely
We did not have a good time. My wife and I wanted a quiet place for a romantic date. In Serafina it was quite the opposite. It was extremely loud, the tables were placed too close to each other, the aisles were too narrow.
In addition, the food was below average as well. The lasagna was ok (4/5). the pasta was undercooked and had to be sent back. (2/5). We did not dare to try the desserts. I wouldn't recommend this for Italian food or otherwise.
I love the relaxed and romantic feel of this place. Was great for a group of 6 girls enjoying a girls night dinner and I am already planning to come back with my husband for a romantic date night!
Lunch was terrific; the staff were wonderful and created a lovely ambience to enjoy a business lunch. Would definitely return, and certainly recommend.
Great food, friendly staff, overall great experience.
The 3 of us spent close to$200---and I didn't get a cocktail that tasted good. The first choice was recommended, it was awful. I relayed that then asked about wine. Nope, sorry. No sweetish wine either. So......I said I'd have a Sprite. 'ok, no problem. I'll bring it right over.' I think it would have been nice if the waitress asked what kind of cocktail profile I wanted, or had the bartender talk to me about it. They seem like the kind of place that want you to really enjoy your dining experience. Oh well. Next time I'll go to the bar myself.
Always a winner in our world! My husband has been loving the broth based cioppino type dish and I’ve been loving the recent pasta specials. Everything is amazing and service is always awesome. It’s our fave neighborhood restaurant and we don’t even live close to it! Go and find out why it’s so special to everyone!
Food was great. Service was exceptional. Cozy and romantic.
Serafina does not disappoint! Great food in a very pleasant and welcoming setting plus all the service staff was very very nice.
Dined there with out 13 year old and he loves the bread and olive oil there. We had the left over bread and oil “doggie-bagged” and our waitress packed extra oil especially for him. He felt so special :-)
We thoroughly enjoyed our first time here. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, the wine list was excellent, the ambiance was perfect. We’ll be back for those brussel sprouts and arancini and some barolo! Don’t skip dessert, either (so good)!
We enjoyed a relaxed yet elegant evening with cocktails, appetizers, delicious wine, and amazing meals. The service was on point - attentive but not hovering, and the ambience was as delightful as ever. Serafina never disappoints!
Beautiful and comfortable, this restaurant has food and drinks that are worth the price. My fiance and I went here for our anniversary and enjoyed everything from the service to the water. While there are not very many vegetarian options, the dishes are lovingly crafted. It's very worth it to dive out of your comfort zone and try something you might not otherwise.
My birthday is NYE and this was the 2nd time we have celebrated at Serafina. The food was good as always, but the service was not quite as excellent as in the past. I know it is a crazy evening so would give them a pass.
We went for the New Years prix fixe and had a lovely time. Great experience to start our night off right.
We hadn't been to Serafina in over 20 years. Just fell off our radar.. Our meal was delicious, the brussel sprout app with gorgonzola delicious, and the pappardelle pasta with short ribs was delicious. The rib eye steak was just ok and but the rest of the meal was fantastic. Our table had a view of the kitchen which wouldn't have been my first choice but our waiter Brian was very knowledgeable and more than made up for it. We wouldn't hesitate to go again.
Two superior entrees in a cozy setting on a cold rainy night.
Once again we were treated to a delightful experience. This is why we keep coming back after 25 years. There's no place like this place, any place.
this neighborhood eatery is a jewel for the area. Great intimate ambiance very good food and quality ingredients. It is great for lunch and d inner. So happy they serve lunch a s so few really good places other than going downtown are open for lunch.
Went for my husband's birthday. While the overall noise level can be high, we had a spot in the window near the door which provided a quieter and more intimate experience. Food was terrific. He had the lamb shank (delish) and I had the agnolotti which was utterly amazing. Would go back and recommend to friends.
Serafina remains one our all time favorite Seattle restaurants. We were there to celebrate our 11th anniversary and between the service, the food, and the ambiance, it was a wonderful evening! It's a special treat to go there and we always enjoy it. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't gone...we'll be back!
We have been to Serafina many times. This last dinner was for our anniversary and we had a lovely dinner with great atmosphere and food as well a wonderful wine.
Great food and service! We’ve been coming for years and it stands the test of time! Wonderful evening, thank you!
Excellent food! Every course was delicious. Great service
Had a small office holiday lunch and it was great. The cocktails were great as was the food.
I haven’t been back to Serafina in a very long time and was sooo looking forward to a great meal. Maybe we ordered the wrong dish but the salad we had too had way to many weeds in it and the special pasta w brown butter and squash was over cooked and had no flavor. Disappointing for sure. Too bad.
If I had to say only one thing about Serafina, I would encourage anyone to try their Solpa.. braised Octopus is amazing!!!!
But I cannot say only one thing. The service here is really great from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
I highly recommend Serafina!
I took my wife to Serafina for her birthday dinner. The food and service were outstanding, we had a nice romantic table off to ourselves.
Saturday evening so very busy but they got us in fairly quick. Food and waiter were great.
Our second time in less than a month and we made the trip over from Bainbridge. I like the neighborhood location near Lake Union. Serafina is cozy and romantic yet the atmosphere is energetic which we both really like. But we really come for Italian food and it is excellent. We ordered bruschetta, eggplant pasta dish, gnocchi, and a seafood special. All were beautiful dishes and the waitress recommended a nice chianti to go with it. Dessert was cheesecake and Flatliners -perfect!
Great local Seattle spot. Wonderful food.
Hadn't been to this restaurant in many years. We have rediscovered it and will be back. Dinner was excellent. Only complaint I have is that it was quite noisy. If you want a quiet dinner where you don't have to shout across the table than this is not the restaurant for you. The sevice and food was terrific.
The serving staff at Serafina were amazing. I think Brian was our waiter's name. He'd been there a long time and it really showed. He was very friendly, attentive and patient with us despite being busy. The decor is attractive and romantic. The food was delicious - I was a little nervous at first since the "large" serving of the pasta I got seemed small, but I was actually really full afterwards and the flavor was amazing. The desserts, apps and cocktails were similarly of great quality (I liked the polpo a lot; nice smoky/salty flavor). Would highly recommend Serafina for a date night, fancy business dinner or whenever you want to impress someone and get great food and service.
Good staff but disappointed in the food. Gnocchi lacked taste.
Wonderful evening and dinner experience for celebration.
It is a small-ish restaurant so seating is a little tight. However, we experienced excellent services, excellent food and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend.
Our go-to Italian for special events and often for pre-show dining before performances at UW Meany or City venues.
A longtime friend and I had dinner early so it was quiet until about 6 pm when there were more diners present, then it was unpleasantly noisy. We sat at a very lovely table by the window but the heater right there was extremely strong and continuously blowing hot air. At first it was wonderful. My seat was heated and we had just came in from the cold. But soon it was annoying and I had to lean over the table the rest of the evening to avoid having hot air blowing into my face. Otherwise the ambience was fine.
I had the osso buco. It was generous and done very well. The accompanying greens and polenta were delicious too. I would order again though I think the flavor of the meat and sauce could be richer as I’ve had it many times before at other restaurants.
Our server was very pleasant and the service was fine.
