Went Easter Sunday Staff was attentive, gracious — the managers made sure waiters came regularly to check if we needed water, etc., anything, and of course, to see if our token was red or green so we could have more Carnes! Also made sure they came by with grilled pineapple — our special request. Overall the food was well prepared, fresh salad bar items with meats not overcooked

I noticed the meats are quite salty… the surface seems more heavily salted than before.

We enjoyed the food and staff, however there was an immediate up sale to the most expensive food on the menu. It woul have been okay if they asked if we were interested but I felt like I was being shamed into it. Other than that is was a good experience.

FAQs

Yes, Show de Carnes is a lively, celebratory spot that many guests recommend for a special date night. The restaurant offers a vibrant Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside rodízio service, plentiful grilled meats, cocktails, and a large salad/hot bar. Expect a busy, energetic atmosphere (it can be noisy), warm service, and a memorable meal, great for anniversaries or celebrations. If you prefer a quieter dinner, try an early weeknight seating.

Portions are generous, this is an all-you-can-eat rodízio format where servers bring continuous rounds of sliced meats to your table plus a large salad and hot buffet. Guests frequently mention plentiful, frequent meat service and a substantial salad bar, so you should leave satisfied. If you prefer to pace yourself, flip your token to red when you want a break or ask servers for specific cuts.

Open most evenings and weekend daytime hours. Current listed hours are: Sunday 12:00 pm–8:00 pm (dinner); Monday–Thursday 5:00 pm–9:00 pm; Friday 5:00 pm–10:00 pm; Saturday 1:00 pm–10:00 pm. If you’re coming for a holiday or special event, plan ahead, guests report heavy crowds at peak times.

Family-friendly: yes, many guests celebrate birthdays and bring children; staff often accommodate celebrations with complimentary desserts and birthday signs. Accessible seating: not specified in available info, so call ahead to confirm aisle space or any mobility needs. For families, an earlier seating often makes the experience smoother and less crowded.

Go on a weekday early evening or a non-event afternoon for the calmest experience. Guests report the restaurant gets very busy on weekends, holidays (Valentine’s, Father’s Day, NYE), and during large events, reservation check-in lines and waits can be long. If you want a quieter meal, aim for Monday–Thursday or an early Saturday lunch seating.

The vibe is lively, festive, and energetic, classic for a Brazilian steakhouse. Guests praise upbeat service, warm hospitality, and a bustling dining room that’s great for celebrations. Expect noticeable noise levels and active table service as servers circulate with skewers. If you prefer quiet, choose an early weekday visit.

Business casual is the recommended dress code. Guests typically dress smart-casual for the lively but relaxed churrascaria setting, a good choice for date nights, celebrations, or family dinners.

Yes, guests report staff accommodating birthday requests (complimentary desserts and table signs) and special food requests like grilled pineapple. For things like menu modifications, seating needs, or larger parties, call ahead so the team can prepare. Be aware peak nights can be very busy, so early communication helps ensure requests are met.

Yes, families and children dine here frequently, and guests celebrate birthdays with kids. The rodízio format offers a lot of variety, which can be great for younger diners. There’s no evidence of a kids’ menu, so plan to share or order smaller portions. For a smoother visit with children, choose an earlier seating and call ahead if you need anything special.

Practically speaking, guests frequently experienced long check-in lines and waits despite having reservations, reports describe large groups lining up and being turned away or delayed. The restaurant appears to be very popular and can feel overbooked during holidays and events. Make a reservation, arrive early, and call if you’re running late; be prepared for possible waits during peak times.

Busiest: weekends, holidays (Valentine’s, Father’s Day, NYE), and nights with large parties or events. Quietest: weekday early evenings or Sunday daytime service. Guests frequently report long reservation lines and overbooking on peak nights, so choose off-peak hours for a calmer meal.

Weekdays (Monday–Thursday) or an early Sunday lunch are the best choices if you want fewer crowds and a smoother experience. Many guests report heavy weekend and holiday demand that can lead to long waits or seating delays, so midweek visits offer the same food and service with less bustle.

Yes, guests reference other Show de Carnes locations (for example, a Sausalito/Salsalito location), indicating this Palo Alto spot is part of a group or has sister restaurants. If you’re interested in other locations, ask the host or check the company’s website for the full list.

Yes, the restaurant does open for holidays and special nights (guests report visiting on NYE, Easter, Father’s Day), but expect heavy crowds and long waits on those dates. If you plan a holiday visit, make an early reservation, confirm check-in procedures, and arrive early to avoid long lines.
