I was looking so forward to trying this restaurant but we were all so disappointed. The food was lacking flavor. I ordered the diavalo chicken and there was no hint of any spice. My husband has the paparselle and it was soft pasta with tomato paste. The black squid pasta was so over cooked and mushy. The Brussels sprouts that are flash fried were so slimy. Never had I had such awful sprouts. And to top it off we were served a cold cup of coffee and a child size gelato portions for dessert. I will never eat here again. I wish I went around the corner to El Porcellino's where the food and service is fabulous!
Well, I hope you got my previous note as well, as I was reached my out because this was such an outstanding experience, first because of you we did find a place serving dinner after 11pm!! And secondly , we had a fantastic experience in the Chicago symphony with a brilliant concert and to round it up , as it was the celebration for my daughters- high school graduation, Internship and my son’s all A’s high school freshman year- I was nervous to find anything still open after the concert as it went extra long.
So looking at open table app - during the concert - we found Siena Tavern and THEY DID DELIVER!!! Fantastic all around - staff, food taste and quality - we can not wait to go back there!
Thank you for finding g this for us!!!!
This restaurant is always consistent with the quality of their food.
Excellent waiter, I’ve had him before, but can’t remember his name. Food was superb, as it always is. Nice size table for the 2 of us, much appreciated.
Enjoyed celebrating my birthday at ST with my family. One member of my party felt a little cramped in the booth with 5 of us. Service and food great!
The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful. Highly recommend.
Food and service awesome; but, I prefer a more intimate atmosphere. This restaurant is wayyy too big AND loud. But again, loved our meal and our waitress was great.
Food was amazing along with the service. I recommend the brussel sprouts they are wonderful. We ordered them as an appetizer. Pizza was very good and the chocolate cake is a must!
All around great... slightly on the pricey side but no complaints.
Kayla was a great server. Food recommendations were spot on.
Always reliable for great food and service!
Very disappointed in both meals my husband and I had. Pasta was way overcooked, and food was pretty bland. Would not go back again.
Siena Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants in the city but this past weekend the service was not as good as usual. The server left us for 20-30 minutes at a time and we nearly had to flag her down to get the bill and order our food. In addition, i put in my opentable request it was for a friend’s birthday but no one acknowledged it even after we told the wait staff.
Outstanding food and cocktails. Attentive, enthusiastic service.
Usually a great experience, last night was a disappointment. Service was weak. Food was ok but not great. Oysters were embarrassingly small. I should have sent them back but didn’t want to deal with it. They need some adult management and better quality control.
OMG!! The best lasagna around! My husband thought he had the best in Vegas. This is hands down the best. I had spaghetti and it was amazing! Appetizer was the Coocli. Awesome! Everyrhing was great and worth every penny!!
Food and drinks were great per usual! Some of the best grilled octopus I’ve had.
Second trip to Sienna. Atmosphere is great. Lively group and a great area outside on a nice day. No issues whatsoever with service. Food was not good. We started with oysters and they were either 100% void of flavor or just bad. We sent them back after eating two each. I had a pasta dish and although I had it on a previous visit it was lacking any seasoning at all. Very, very bland. Disappointing as I had a good experience on last visit.
Great ambiance, good food, drinks and service!! This is a trendy place, open late even on a Monday and it was busy in a really great way! I took out a friend from out of town and we not really enjoyed the experience. I’ll definitely be back!
Our server, Mellady was fabulous. Desserts were disappointing.
Food was delicious, service was great.
Our server was amazing! I wish I could remember her name. She knew it was our anniversary and she started the evening with complementary Prosecco! She took the time to make conversation with us without intruding on our evening. The food was delicious and we absolutely loved the atmosphere!
Made business lunch reservation but since we only had two they would only put us at a high table. Felt awkward and unprofessional.
Great food and nice outdoor seating.
Great food and service but very loud.
Waygu meatball was special.
Everything I tasted was delicious! Service was outstanding! Thanks for my daughter's birthday dinner just as great as it was the last time we celebrated there.
Prices are high, portions small. Used to be a favorite place but seems like they've cut back on quality. It's in a great location but not the same place it was a few years ago.
Went for Sunday Brunch. Had Salmon board, which was very good. The "fritters", I think they were called, were way too rich/oily. It was a bit confusing in that the amount of sour cream given (quite generous) was large in proportion to the number of slices of bread (two very small pieces). I could have asked for additional pieces, but I did not.
Awesome food and great service.
Food was good and patio area was beautiful despite the traffic
The server we had was amazing! Best server I’ve had in a long time! Melanie was great! Food was great and ambiance was good.
Food and service were great! Server recommended sharing a salad and pizza or pasta. We did and both were fab! Fun and lively environment too! We will be back!
It's refreshing to see that a restaurant that is so highly reviewed and hyped can actually exceed expectations, but I had a near perfect meal here. The gnocchi and bruschetta were incredible, and their cocktail list offered up plenty of delicious choices. I'll definitely be coming here on my next visit to Chicago!
Conner our server was great but the food came out rather tepid, which is a bummer when ordering pasta. Felt like the plates had been sitting on the line a little too long.
Food was good. Lamb chops came out too well done and they redid them and gave us some free antipasti. However, even when the lamb chops were redone there were small bones that interferes with eating them. Desserts were all delicious and service was great. Restaurant was a bit loud, especially for a week night. Overall, would consider going back but was a bit disappointed.
Great Food, Great Flavors
It had been years since I'd been to Siena Tavern, and I'm happy to say it's as perfect an experience today as it was back then. The kale Caeser salad is perfection, the octopus amazing (what is that sauce?!) and the chocolate gelato cake with fudge was to die for.
Over priced for the portion sizes. Quality and taste of food was good, but not necessarily worth the money. For example, a few chunks of watermelon with sauce on top costs $15...and a meatball the size of a tennis ball costs $21. I wouldn't go back.
