I was in town for a conference and I was a party of 1. I have dined alone before, in other circumstances, but some establishments make single diners feel less than welcome. Not Siena Tavern, it was a great experience and my server Joe was very attentive and made an excellent wine recommendation. I will definitely visit Siena Tavern again when in Chicago next time
Great service and amazing food!!!
The homemade pasta was too aldente - barely cooked. The halibut was dry. The food came out very quickly after we ordered, but it wasn’t very good.
The dining experience was not great in the beginning, apparently there was a shift change and no one came to our table for 20 minutes. Even after we asked the hostess. So we grabbed the next server that came by and he took our order. Finally our waitress apologized and said it was a shift change and she didn’t know that she had our table. After that it was smooth sailing.
Good brunch! The goat cheese omelet was on point and the avocado toast was pretty good too. The savory dishes weregood but the sweet dishes are mediocre! Only the monkey bread was good out of the sweet options.
PS: horrible valet service
Great place for Brunch, Cocolli were fab
Great option for Sunday brunch. Good selection of both savory and sweat options. Good attentive staff. Can't wait to return!
Went there in vacation this week.
Oh my God..noise absolutely terrible.
Do not recommemd unless you are late and willing to put up with a noisy place.
Not to be able to talk to my husband across the table was a big issue.
Food was great but no ambiance..have been to lots of nicer places with great food in Chicago!!
This was the third time I have eaten here and it is always great. A bit pricey but delicious
Server, Broc, was knowledgeable, friendly, and overall a treat to have as a server. The food was delicious and served very nicely. We sat outside but the inside was a pretty cool ambiance. I’d recommend and will be back.
Service not professional. Server was nice but seemed frazzled.
We asked our server to box an appetizer but she failed to tell bus boy in time so he but extra paper/garbage from the table on it when he cleared the table. She saw this and told him we wanted it to go.... she then watched as he cleared the garbage from the top & boxed the appetizer & gave it to us.
Bussing of tables is always hurried there with near hovering over you to see when your finished in order to take your plate. They've started picking up our plates many
Times in the past without us being finished. NO ONE WANTS to eat from a plate where fingers have touched INDIDE THE PLATE. Very annoying & a constant problem as we frequently dine here.
Super loud but tasty
Great place for friends to get together and have a Brick Oven Pizza & beers.
1st time here. was not disappointed.
ambience, service and food selection
we’re very good. some traditional items
while others inventive.
can’t beat the meatball appetizer for
a starter to share with one other person.
conventional food like pizza was great
and no problem adding additional
ingredient to it. my inventive dish
was cavettli with pistachio pesto
and rock shrimp. all were yummy.
finishing off with a pistachio semi-
fredo. would definitely go again🌻👍
The service staff were spectacular. Loved our server. The arrival and seating staff were less than accommodating. Even with an empty restaurant and a reservation they had problems seating us. They would rather talk to each other and answer the phone.
Fantastic food, delicious cocktails and great service! You will not go home hungry. Josh was an excellent server who made our experience at Siena Tavern truly enjoyable. We loved everything about this place and would definitely make a return trip.
Great food and great service. One of our favorites.
Overall we were disappointed with the cost versus what we got out of it. The ossobuco was delicious (fennel gremolata fresh and a perfect accompaniment)and maybe worth the $42 price tag but the carbonara in a jar was not to my taste. The pancetta was Smokey and the peas had no taste at all. I do not like Smokey and the dish was not described as having that flavor. Atmosphere is fun. The service was impeccable! We never poured our own water or wine and dishes were immediately cleared. If I went again I’d stick with their wood fired pizza, salad and maybe the meatball appetizer which is huge and a meal itself.
Best meal I had while traveling in Chicago and maybe one of the best meals I’ve ever had... everything I ordered was perfection. Great ambiance and great service! I cannot recommend this place enough!
Amazing drinks, dinner and dessert. Staff was very attentive and the food was spectacular. I also adored the pizza with truffles! Looking forward to my next visit :)
Good food, attentive server, but most importantly - extremely dog friendly!
I took my brother here. He was visiting from Florida. I wanted him to get good food and have a vibrant scene. Our server gave wonderful recommendations.
Lots of options on the menu that looked great. We had the squid ink pasta w/lobster which wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Lamb chops were OK. Meatball pretty good. They were nice to us even though we had kids with us. Would be fun to go with a group or just a couple to sit at the bar. Very appealing decor.
Food and drinks were delicious! Great night!
Delicious authentic Italian food in a trendy place. Probably the best meatballs and pasta in Chicago. And leave some room for desserts too!
Our first time in Chicago and our first Chicago restaurant. We had a great experience with food and service. Mike was personable, attentive, gave us city tips, and made our time very enjoyable. The manager stopped by to check on our experience. We had the Bruschetta, Spaghetti, and Orecchiette. Cosi Bueno. Also really likes the decor and design. Great experience.
Great food and service was exceptional.
My wife and I were on our way to the Paul Simon Concert. Dining at the Siena Tavern before hand made this truly a special night for us. The food was outstanding and our server was one of the best ever. Thank you!
Fabulous experience and delicious food. Was a bit loud but the attentive service more than made up for it. Will certainly come back. Don’t miss this place!
The food was hearty, tasty, and very plentiful. But it does not rise to the level of haute cuisine. The service was attentive and very friendly. I chose to sit outside because it was a pleasant evening and it was very noisy inside. Unfortunately, there is some kind of garbage processing company next door; very loud dump trucks were coming and going, so the noise outside was only slightly softer than outside. With tip the cost for one person was ~$100 (two courses, gnocchi and chicken). The bottom line: I enjoyed my meal and appreciated the service sufficiently that I'd go back, but this is not where I'd go with foody-friends for an intense meal with top wines.
Unfortunately my lobster roll for brunch was lacking lobster
Decided to go here on our trip to Chicago, and boy are we glad we did. Food and atmosphere were excellent. Will be back!
Everything was amazing! It’s pricey but worth it! I can’t wait to go back!
Good but expensive
Meal was excellent, service was top notch
Sienna Tavern is a must if you’re in Chicago. The food here was amazing and we will be going here every single time we’re in the city. If their food could be shipped, I would order it to my house.
Second time dining here for brunch! Tiramisu French Toast is AMAZING! Great waitress, and staff.
Fun night & good service
Josh was the best!
