Beautiful view of the ocean with great food. It was good to have a nice sit down restaurant inside the hotel. We are here twice due to the convenience and quality of the food!!! We will certainly be back to this hotel and enjoy eating here again!

The food was way better than expected for a restaurant inside a hotel and our server was a delight. She gave us great recommendations. The linguini was delicious and the grouper tacos were super stuffed full of fish and toppings. A bigger portion than I anticipated, in a good way! Slightly expansive for what we got but I kind of expect this from beachfront restaurants with a view.

We had dinner at The Solstice while staying at the SpringHill Suites Marriott in Panama City Beach, and I am so glad we decided to stay in and give the restaurant a try. Everything was phenomenal! I had the filet with Gouda grits, and it was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The steak was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. The Gouda grits were absolutely outstanding and honestly the best grits I’ve ever tasted. We started with the calamari, which was delicious. The batter was seasoned just right, and the marinara tasted fresh and homemade. My husband had the Caprese salad, which was phenomenal, along with the clam chowder. He especially commented that the chowder had great flavor without tasting overly fishy or “clammy.” We finished the evening with the cheesecake topped with strawberries, and it was the perfect ending. It was creamy, rich, and full of flavor without being overly heavy. The atmosphere was just as impressive as the food. It was quiet, relaxing, and had absolutely breathtaking views of the ocean. Our waitress was wonderful, incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable throughout dinner. The service was a little slower paced, but we actually enjoyed that. We never felt rushed and were able to sit, talk, and enjoy each other’s company. Everything came out hot and fresh, so it was completely worth the wait. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, atmosphere, and oceanfront setting. They had a great variety of options on the menu as well. We were only staying in Panama City Beach for the weekend, and this ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. I would absolutely recommend The Solstice and would happily eat here again the next time we’re in town!

My food was pretty good, but the steak my wife ordered was smothered and gravy, and was considerably undercooked for the way that we ordered it. The waitress had no idea what ingredients were used or how to describe what the sides entailed. The waitress seemed very un knowledgeable, which made us deciding what we wanted to eat very difficult because my wife has a significant allergy that the waitress and the rest of the staff had no knowledge regarding the food. It did have a great ocean view, and the restaurant was well taken care of in very nice, however. Maybe we just had bad luck with whichever waitress was assigned.
