Truly, an outstanding experience. The food was very tasty. We had the fried chicken, caviar sliders, baked chicken, duck meatballs, and Caesar salad. Always a good time at Somerville and there was live jazz last night as well.

Somerville is an absolutely stunning restaurant! The ambiance is moody, sexy, and vibey in all the right ways. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and seeing Black folks dining, laughing, and yapping. Now, I’m not sure if Jay-Z being in town had anything to do with it, but the service was a bit chaotic. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, which definitely impacted the overall experience. That said, I’d love to give Somerville another try on a different day to see how the experience compares. The space is gorgeous, and I can absolutely see the appeal. I’ll be back to give it another chance!

We can to Somerville on a friend's suggestion and some parts were a good experience, but we were really disappointed with the service - or lack there of. About 4 tables were sat at the same time, ours included, in after we waited ~15m to be sat. From there, it took another 20ish minutes for anyone to even come over re. water or any sort of order. Then, our food took a while, and our drinks even longer. The drinks didn't come for 20-30 minutes after we ordered them, and they should have been the quickest thing to come out. They came after some apps and we had to ask about them first. No one acknowledged the long waits or lack of responsiveness. I did enjoy the live jazz music yet the noise level was still good to talk over. Our mains and some appetizers were delicious. The rolls were actually a bit underwhelming in flavor. I would give Somerville another chance on another night to see if the service is any better.

Came here with my husband for our anniversary.I highly recommend for a date night or a fancy night with your girlfriends. Can’t wait to go back for brunch this time. It would’ve really sweeten our experience if a little gesture of complimentary dessert or appetizer to acknowledge the celebration was provided.
