The Squire’s Landing
Online bookings are available for the restaurant only.
Please note that the restaurant staff have the authority to give away your table if you are more than 15 minutes late and have not communicated this prior.
Thanks for the attention, however I was extremely disappointed with some of the wait staff. In asking for two glasses of wine, they instead gave me the entire bottle, and two seperate wines! Of course I insisted on just the two glasses of a regular wine, which one waitstaff kindly took away the bottle and apologised for the misunderstanding. After that we had another waiter attend our table and tell us we can only have this bottle, however this was not even made clear to us as we asked for a recommendation of just two glasses of wine! Very clear that we were being taken advantage of in a circumstance where we couldn’t articulate in English. Extremely disappointed from that experience, my friend was made to buy two different wines, and a bottle, when they simply wanted two glasses. The waiter knew this and knowingly manipulated the table into buying more and not taking it back when we confronted him. Appalled. “This was written by some one else due Sebastian luck of English.”
We had a reservation booked for Saturday 23rd March for 4 people and we were disappointed with the value and quality of food, we ordered the prawns to start and to share as there were 4 of us, we expected to receive at least 4 however we received 3 which seemed strange. For the main course, we ordered two dishes again to share as the steak on the menu suggested it was 500grams (enough to share) however when we received the steak it was definitely not 500grams more like 350grams and the Lamb was mainly gristle and fat.
Slightly disappointing on the food.
The spotlights above the tables for 2 against the wall are too bright, they dimmed about 7pm but still not a great ambience for us. Thanks
Not the best but not the worst experience - the cruise ship was in that takes up all of the view but the food was average 3-4 people weren’t impressed sorry x
Great overall experience. Easy to book, staff were friendly and attentive, stunning views.
Very accommodation and graciously offered us a beautiful table by the window with world class view of opera house and Sydney bridge. An outstanding evening.
The view was amazing. The food was very good and arrived quickly, in fact before the drinks for starters and main! We have already recommended this venue to friends and have made plans to go again.
My friends and I will definitely recommend The Squire’s. Commendable staff service and delicious food selection in their menu. Not to mention their drinks are awesome too!
Service and food were good. The view was awesome - especially as the sun set and a hen the moon rose over the Opera House. Building has an awesome vibe.
This is our second business dinner this year, and is becoming our go to Restaurant, particularly with our Overseas Guests/Directors. Keep up the great work. Thanks Lenore
Food and service was fantastic.
Highly recommend the goat.
Only inconvenience was the view from the 2 person table obscured by a pole.
View is fantastic. Food was limited and not wonderful, but the view was world class.
The perfect dinning experience with some of the best views of circular quay!
We booked last minute on a Saturday and were given an excellent table with a fantastic view. The food was lovely, if slightly on the expensive side for what it was. Our only issue was the taciturn service from our waiter! He brought one of us the wrong drink, then insisted she ordered vodka lemonade instead of Diet Coke (we all heard her say Diet Coke) and wouldn’t replace it. Then when she asked if it was st least diet lemonade, he said yes! Now, I know they had no diet lemonade because I asked for some (from a different barman) earlier. And I tasted it also- it was regular lemonade. And she cannot drink sugary drinks for health reasons. Not used to waiters being so rude! Also the starters came out missing one dish, and when we asked him for it, he rudely banged it down on the table. By the way, all the other servers were brilliant but he left a bad taste.
View was amazing, however partner and I are vegetarian and there wasn’t that much of a variety.
Arrived at 7.00pm. Mix up on tables as we had relatives booking same night. Food order taken at 7.45pm and meals delivered at 9.15pm. Poor service and still added 10% gratuity to the bill. Would not recommend.
Good food, service was also very good. Views are outstanding with the Opera House one side and the Harbour Bridge on the other. We ate early but there was a nice buzz about the restaurant.
This has become my favourite restaurant in town. The food is superb and the staff are always so attentive.
You must try the Gwydirshire sourdough and the banoffee pie just delicious!
A great table reserved for us so I had a great birthday there. Pleasant view, friendly stuff and delicious food
Fantastic view, food and service - we will be back!
Great views...after the Queen Elizabeth ship departed! Food and service were both excellent. Thank you.
2nd time I have been to the restaurant on 1st floor to dine. Much busier this time and seated in the round room at the end. View wasn’t as spectacular this time as a cruise was in dock! The tables are all quite close to one another so a bit cramped but food was delicious and our waiters very good. We will be back!
Great spot, great atmosphere, location is great and the staff were very helpul
Service is not good. Had to wait more than an hour for food to arrive.
Fabulous! Great food!!!
The food was amazing! However it was an hour and a half between ordering and actually receiving our mains. Staff were pushy with drink orders.
Overall we were disappointed. I wouldn’t rush back.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant with food and service equaling the view. Not a weekly event due to cost but we would return for special occasions and bring visitors to Australia.
Good restaurant, obviously due to busy week the tomahawk steak 1.4kg wasn't available and the view on the opera house disturbed by a very BIG Ferry
Otherwise it's a fantastic place
We booked in for my husband’s birthday. Unfortunately, they failed to mention that there was a large cruise ship at dock, blocking the view of the Opera House.
Despite this, we had an enjoyable dinner experience with very attentive staff. The food was delicious and cocktails went down nicely
We waited 15 minutes for our table booked at 7.30pm.
Ordered food and didn’t receive dinner till after 9pm.
I asked for a starter meal to be a main and it still came out as a starter.
The best part was the gorgeous view.
I wouldn’t go again cause even the restaurant became quite loud.
I would recommend the PUB and will come back for the pub a million times. Amazing view, pub food selection is great, service is good to pub standards, life music gives the place a cool vibe, and of course wine & beer offers are great. However, the dining area menu is not as great and I wouldn't go back for the food. The view is outstanding, the service is great but the menu could be improved to get along with the amazing deco, the prices and the best view in the harbour.
Definitely recommend the Squire’s landing if you’re looking for a nice restaurant for a special occasion! Food is worth the price and the view is amazing!
Great time with friends! Wonderful location! Food was ok, unfortunately had a very limited availability of desserts from those on the menu.
This was an amazing experience. From the staff being very accommodating to the delicious food and great wine selection and topping this off with the a perfect view of the Opera House and Harbour.
We had a booking at 2pm on a regular Friday. The restaurant had 2 large groups of 15+ and maybe 4-5 smaller groups of 2-4 but it was very spacious and not at all intrusive of our personal space. Food was good and wait times were reasonable. 2 steaks 1 drink a beer and 3 red wines were $170. Unfortunately there was a cruise ship at dock which blocked our view which is obviously of no fault or flaw of the establishment. We were seated closest to the wine wall and could not be seated elsewhere due to a scheduled event. We were given two free glasses of champagne to celebrate our moment and allowed onto the round room for a few minutes and photos. Had we been given any one of the other tables which remained free til we had left then I would be more complimentary. Overall a good experience with room for improvement.
I heard about this restaurant from a work colleague and I'm glad I decided to check it out.
Went on Valentine's Day so was a set menu, but the food was outstanding.
Great service from friendly staff and the overall ambiance was very nice with just the right amount of lighting.
Great location with the Harbour Bridge on one side and a view to the Opera House on the other.
I recommend a visit and I'll definitely be going back again (even just for a pizza and one of Squires many beers on tap).
I requested a window seat and me and my wife were actually the first ones there and didn’t get it. I think the tables are also a bit to close to each other so not much privacy. I understand there’s not much you can do about that but just giving some honest feedback.
Friendly professional service, with great food and stunning views across to the Opera House
We were seated looking straight at the Opera House which our English guests were super excited over. Great location, food was wonderful and the service attentive. We had a great evening and would highly recommend it.
We came to Squires Landing for an evening of great food and celebration as it was my wife's birthday.
We were disappointed. We started off with a small pitcher of a cocktail for 2. It was tasty but watered down. I tried a sampler of 4 different beers. They were balanced and tasty but nothing spectacular. We enjoy raw oysters and ordered 6. They were warm. We've traveled all over the world and never had room temperature oysters before. They are always chilled. Fortunately, no ill effects. For entrees I had the Barremundi which was fine. My wife had the crab salad as an entrée. It was 95% salad greens and shaved fennel and 5% crab. She was very disappointed. The waitress had suggested the sourdough bread which was described as cheesy, crisp and garlicy. It was cheesy only. As far as service, very good. The views were also great.
