We have eaten at Stone House on multiple occasions and were always happy with the service, unfortunately that was not the case this time. Our waitress never gave us the bread that was too be served and once she took our order did not return to see if we needed anything. It was also unfortunate that at 6pm they were out of Prime rib which is dinner that 2 of my party were looking forward, but the 20 ounce t- bone was very good. Pumpkin soup excellent as was the short ribs.

The menu was ok. Our fish dish was drowned in the sauce and our burger was dry. We often ask for a side glass of ice when having wine. We were charged $2 for that glass of ice. That was a surprise. We probably will not go back. Overall for an expensive restaurant, it wasn’t remarkable.

Pleasant atmosphere for an early Sunday dinner with friends. The restaurant may have been short staffed, as waitperson was not timely between orders and there seemed to be issues with the bar. White wine was warm, a replacement glass just a tad colder. It took 15 minutes for my friends to be told that they were "out" of one of the cocktails and another 5 for them to be told sorry there was a mistake and we do have that. Oh, well.

So we have been here many times before, but this is the first time in about a year. Waiter was moderately skilled, didn't know drinks and wines and had to go keep checking to see what was available. BEER DRINKER BEWARE there are NO DRAFT BEERS INSIDE! I asked for an IPA, and all I was told by the waiter was we have Michelob light, maybe Heineken and Corona... What kind of place doesn't have an extensive beer menu if you don't have indoor draft service?! If your a beer drinker, you're screwed here. Filet was great, but it came with some terrible potato wedge thing as the starch. Cold, bland and flavorless. The 3 people at the table didn't eat theirs because it was terrible. Otherwise the food was good. It was a Saturday so service was a bit slow, overall we ended up being there about 2.5 hours from 7 to 930, but not because we wanted to "hang out". Waiter seemed like it was his first week.

The ambience at this restaurant is great. The food is good but the prime rib only comes medium rare. It was too rare for several diners in our group. This needs to be addressed. People should be able to get their meat at the temperature that they chose not what the restaurant decides. Also, we were not offered tap water. We did not realize we were getting bottled water and being charged $8 a bottle for it. They kept pushing for us to get more bottles of water. This is not ok and tap water should be offered. We were given tap water in the bar when we had a cocktail before dinner.
