Went there Saturday evening and enjoyed a Double Birthday celebration. The food was fantastic and the service even better. It was crowded but it did not cause any delays and my friend enjoyed her first visit to Sugo. My only problem was trying to figure of what I wanted to eat. Guess I will have to go back and work my way down through the menu.

We have always found the food at Sugo excellent but take issue with the congestion and noise level. On numerous occasions we have made a reservation in advance only to learn a day or two before our dinner that they have scheduled a "Wine Tasting Dinner" or "Cooking Class" or "Back to School Pre Fixe Meal" or other special event that only serves to increase congestion and noise level. Our last dinner there was so noisy we could hardly hear the waitress. Too bad they can't manage it better ... the food is very good.

The meatball is always amazing but so is the flatbread and the octopus appetizers. The fish special, pan fried branzino with squid ink pasta in a pita es a sauce was incredible. Can’t wait to go again

I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Sugo over the 4th of July weekend. I took advantage of their $17.76 prix mixe 4th of July dinner menu, and it was fantastic. I went solo and sat at the bar and Sam provided outstanding service. I had not been there in awhile and was very happy I returned. Defintiely looking forward to going back soon.

Delicious food & service. The only odd thing is they ask if anyone is celebrating anything and we told them we were celebrating our 5th wedding Anniversary and that we got engaged at Sugo. They didn’t do anything special for us. That was disappointing! 😔

The food all sounds so good. I had a very difficult time choosing from the menu. I ended up with the Meatball appetizer, the Classico salad and the braised short rib ravioli. All were good, not great. Our server was the first day working, so she was unfamiliar with any of the dishes. Overall, I am not sorry I ate here, but won't choose it again.

My shrimp scampi was delicious. I substituted angel hair pasta for the spicy fettuccine. My husband had a very nice hangar steak exactly medium rare as requested. Sugo was offering a special
$17.76 special to celebrate Independence Day. It included a choice of arancini or bacon wrapped dates for appetizer and cheesecake or bourbon bread pudding for dessert. Everything was outstanding. This 3 course meal would have been at least $50. Thank you Sugo for a great meal at unbelievable price. Our waiter was Noah and we had really good service. Nice wine choices made this meal a huge success.

I cannot say enough good things about Sugo. First off, I dont do reviews. I dont take the time to sit down and write good or bad but for them I had to say why I gave 5 stars. I planned my Birthday dinner with the girls here because I heard they had an amazing array of gluten free foods. They definitely did and it did not disappoint from the meatball, to caprese salad, bacon wrapped dates, specially made gluten free scallops and then the bomba for dessert. The owners personally came in to our private room (which I didn't even know we had ) to make sure everything was perfect, to wish me a happy birthday and to personally make recommendations from the menu. Our waitress, Crystal was amazing she made sure we always had a drink in our hand, explained the menu and specials thoroughly and happily gave all 9 of us separate checks. I will be back, it was definitely worth the 30 min drive from Sugar Hill.

I fell bad leaving this review because I’ve eaten here many times. The owners and the food are amazing. Never had anything I didn’t enjoy. The kitchen is always on it but the front of the house wasn’t the night I was there.

Long story short we had an incompetent waiter who wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu, specials or prices. He did a poor job of communicating my food allergies to the kitchen and did a poor job of communicating back to me. I was surprised by the dish that was brought out because it wasn’t what was described. It had an entirely different vegetable. That was fine. But he should have come back to inform me that the dish I’d ordered had something in it that I was allergic to. Thankful that the kitchen caught it. But I probably would have ordered something else.

The waiter was lackluster with attending to my guests needs. To add to it, the food runner was poorly trained and reached across the table (putting their arm in front of my guests face) to deliver appetizers, salads and entrees. This is a food service 101 no no. I know it all sounds petty. But if you had seen my bill you would have been upset as well. I asked for a good glass of bold red wine. It’s my fault I didn’t ask the price. But I had two glasses for $40 Sadly If I’d known what he was bringing me and the price I would have just bought a bottle. I did speak with the manager and voiced my concerns. I’ll return, but it will be a while.

We just celebrated our 34 year anniversary and they had an anniversary card for us when we came in. The personal touch they give you is so sweet and you couldn't ask for a better experience from a restaurant. Sugo has the best food and their attention to detail can't be beat. Staff is very attentive to you whole dinning experience and it's so nice to have the owner stop by our table to ensure everything is perfect. Now lets be perfectly honest, when you go out to eat the most important part of the experience is how good the food is. We've eaten at Sugo several times now and have never been disappointed in the food we've chosen. Everything tastes like it's freshly made with fresh ingredients and their prices are good. You have to try the their famous meatball (BIG enough for two) and the bacon wrapped dates are to die for. My favorite is the Butcher Cut steak. Sugo has to be my favorite place to eat. Robin Hulik

A new favorite. Just moved into the John's Creek area so trying out places to visit and eat. This visit was outstanding. Of course we overdid it, appetizer, salad, entrees, dessert, wine and Manhattan. Why not?
Steven (Stephen?) was our waiter and was great. And in fact the entire staff, waiters, servers, lots of them.
