Supper is The Third restaurant from the Frank crew. Here Frank has taken his favorite classic dishes from all over the north of italy and coupled them with a space that reeks Old East Village charm. Wine wine and more Italian Wines than any other east village restaurant. Think lots of brick and stone low lighting and a handinstalled Florentine wood ceiling pictured in the last supper. Old Venetian glass hanging chandeliers and it's all just a setting for a whirling swirling kitchen center stage. Yeah...Veal Milanese (proper), Bolognese out the... You guessed it. OUT DA BUTT. Beef short ribs BAROLO, yup. Freshest salads and MOZZ, SPECK, FALL PARM SALAD, BURRATA, spag limone!!! Yeah... Spag cacio pepe, Bagna Caoda, Osso buco, BOLLITO MISTO, Risotto Amarone, Arista di maiale, Dad's SUNDAY MARINARA SAUCE, chunky and ripped with fresh ricotta cheese.

I would walk a mile just to have the marinated cannellini beans and bread that is placed on the table after ordering. The Spaghetti aglio olio et peperoncino, simplicity itself, is full of flavor. The "Silk Handkerchief in Pesto" is a wonder to behold and more wonderful to eat. I was surprised the Asparagus Parmagiana with crispy egg was so heavily burdened with cheese that cheese is all I tasted. Oh, well, I'm still going back to try more enticing items next time I'm in the city.

We sat outside as we were a big table of people, and that was perfect for us. The restaurant was very accommodating. The service was OK as there was a bit of a language barrier or something with the servers. We were all mostly excited about the cacio y Pepe. But that ended up being the most disappointing dish of them all. It was salty and not very peppery or cheesy at all. On a positive note we loved the meatballs, the Bronzino the lemon spaghetti was delicious as well as the watermelon salad. Overall, we had a great time and it was a good meal and I think most of us would likely come back again.

It was 14 yrs since here last. The prices have gone up substantially both on food and wine selections. We were here with a group of 8 The last time and our bill with 3 bottles of wine was 500 then. Yesterday was 155 for 2 of us with a bottle of wine.
