The place has a sushi train that seems like the sushi just goes around for days with out being changed over. You would probably get better sushi from a grocery store. Everything was dry and not worth while. They had limited selection of choice going around and nothing being added. They then want to charge a 12.5% service free. There was a tone of staff just standing around, the manager seemed to berate them ever chance he could get. We had two empty water glasses just sitting there almost the entire time and only a few other tables. I am sad I used open table to book this before I looked at the place.

It used to be one of the best in London for their sushi set rolls. However since November 2018 when they changed their menu, not only they removed the roll sets but also the quality went down and the prices high. It was so bad that we couldn't finish our food. We gave our feedback the manager. To be honest Tesco's sushi tasts better and is fresher.

I've been going to Sushi Hiroba for 10 years now - it was my first introduction to Japaneses fusion. Very good value, quality and choices.

Lovely Sushi. We had a bottle of wine to go with the food and at one point we’re given free seared tuna to have with the wine which was a nice touch.

The Menu has changed and is different to what is on the website. Some of our favorite dishes no longer exist. I think we will opt for Sushi Samba in the future as they have more variety, better atmosphere and are the same price. The food is nice but its such a shame the menu has changed.

I love Sushi Hiroba. Been eating here for over 10 years and it’s still my “go to” Japanese. Menu has changed recently and not yet convinced for the better. Not quite as good value as it used to be but still relatively affordable compared to other places.

A nice little restaurant to check out just outside of Holborn tube station.
The only thing that let's it down is that the restaurant does not provide enough detail with it's food menu. If you are not familiar with the names of the dishes, you will be further bewildered by what the dish may include.

Another thing is that the menu on the website is out of date. There was a Chicken Udon Noodle dish that I was really looking forward to, however was informed that they no longer serve this dish. I was disappointed. I ordered the Beef Bibimbap instead, it was okay, but nothing to write home about. It could do with a lot more beef actually.

The waiting staff were very polite and friendly and the food was very well prepared and served expediently.

I did not fancy Sushi... I don't have the stomach for it.

Amazing place! Not my first visit and definitely not the last! Very pleasant and helpful staff. Amazing food, tasty, well presented, delicious! Cannot wait to go back!

Great restaurant with really good food. The staff could be more attentive though. We werent seated with a drinks menus, and it became a bit of a job to get hold of someone to order more food and get the bill. Considering theres a service charge on the meal, i'd expect better service.

Because the music was so noisy we decided to leave.
The staff did his best to find us a quiet table at the lounge.

The food was generally very good, but both our cooked main dishes were a bit too salty... All the items on the conveyor belt, instead, were fresh and tasty, with an excellent balance of ingredients and flavours!
The only two criticisms are that the portions in this place verge on the small side (including the dessert) for the price, and that the menu is not varied enough.
The front of the house and the table service were professional, courteous and friendly!
All in all, a very good place to enjoy Japanese food.

First time back since the menu has changed: food is still really good, but it seems to have become much more expensive. And no bento boxes anymore! So, will definitely go back but maybe not as frequently as before

Liked the decor although not the big old heating unit on ceiling. Looked like it needed a clean
Food was nice but chicken teriyaki was served in massive pieces where it should have been a fillet that is sliced and a little on the dry side.

The sushi was incredible and the chef behind the conveyor belt was very welcoming! He gave us free potato salad which was AMAZING and was very happy to recommend dishes. He also showed us how the Japanese eat Sushi the correct way. I would 100% go back.

Overpriced sushi and bad service. Clueless staff not paying attention. Lunch for 2 was inadequate and cost over 70 pounds with no alcohol. Only redeeming feature is the hiroba roll. Go somewhere else for better Japanese food.

The Slovakian waiter was extremely friendly, helpful and nice. He created a great atmosphere. The food was 10/10...super fresh fish and amazing taste and presentation..

Service was very poor, took drinks order for the table next to us, I had to ask after waiting 15 minutes after being sat. Same with food order and then they didn’t bring everything but was still on the bill. Really didn’t seem customer focussed.

We had a lovely time at Sushi Hiroba. We selected the restaurant for the conveyor belt sushi, as my kids love it, and we enjoyed a good quality sushi in a friendly environment. It's certainly a place where we will come back for a family occasion or a casual friend gathering.

Nice food but we had to wait SO long for everything. The waiter was really friendly, but the front of house staff just left him to sort everything out on his own so naturally he couldn’t serve the whole restaurant on time! Small plates very small compared to other Japanese but mains are good value. More team work needed.

Kept getting the food wrong. Ordered the roll and instead got a large set plate. Told the waiter that I didn't order that. He took it away and left me waiting for 10 minutes before I got his attention and he said that his manager is trying to decide what to do. Then the manager brought the original plate and told me that we can have that at the price of the roll we ordered. Had to take away the balance and gave it away to a homeless as the food is not worth me using up my calories for the day.
The waiter was nice but there are only two waiters serving a restaurant with 75 seatings.
Will not go there again if even it was free.

Have been at Sushi Hiroba a few times. Fish was fresh. Good sushi selection. Main course needs attention and better presentation. Quiet big portions for the mains, neither of us finished our mains. Service was great, staff was friendly and smiley.
Will definitely return.

The service was slow, the food was passable the sushi platter description didn’t describe that you get 4 pieces of the 36 wasted on 2 types of roe and then a further 2 on dry crab meat, or we would have ordered something else! We didn’t get chopstick holders, only got side plates and ginger after asking and the tea green tea was awful and served in giant mugs. Nothing authentically Japanese about this place anymore it has clearly been taken over by someone who just wants to make a quick buck! Such a shame as I used to love this place for its high quality food, brilliant service and authenticity but that was several years ago.

Utter disgrace, first they served my dish to a different customer, the customer touched it they took it back and served me the same plate. When I asked the waiter he apologised. They didn't even have the courtesy to cook me a new meal until I asked for a fresh meal. Another meal at our table found bones inside. Totally messed up our orders took them 40 mins and they asked us twice for our order! I think the EHO's need to visit this restaurant and check for hygiene and perhaps teach them about best practices .

All the usual sushi favourites are served to a high standard, especially the salmon sashimi. Nice relaxed atmosphere and pleasant staff.

The food is great and the portions are good. However I am equally disgusted and shocked to be told that the 12.5% service charge is not only COMPULSORY but also goes to the owner and NOT the service staff. The service wasnt bad but it wasnt worth 12.5%, when I rounded my bill down as service had been added, I was told 'You still owe 43pence, service charge is compulsory here' I am actually considering going back in just to complain.
